Chapter Ten
The squad snuck into the locker room, which would lead to the door in which they would need to escape from(there was a girl's locker room and a boys one, but they would lead to the same place. The two locker rooms had a door in which both meet just before the door to the hallway.). Otherwise, they would have no escape. There, they sabotaged the lockers and changed into whatever clothes they'd find.
While Alex was putting on a shoe he found, Thomas tapped his shoulder, looking back before doing so to check to see if John was watching(he was busy talking to the other group of boys.). "Hey," he whispered as he sat down.
Alex grew confused. "What's up?"
Thomas continued. "I just- I just wanted thank you for saving my cousin."
This only bewildered Alex more. "I thought you hated him."
Thomas sighed. "Well, the thing is I'm not a good person in general. I'm mean to everyone. But I do love him. He's my cousin! How could I hate him?"
Alex nodded. "So you're just mean to me. It doesn't mean you hate me."
Thomas recoiled. "Oh, no. I do hate you." He lied.
"Haha, very funny,"
Thomas sighed, trying to push back his feelings. "Okay, maybe I didn't hate you. I treat everyone almost the same."
"So when everyone says you're an asshole-"
"Yes! I know! They're right."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "So, can we at least try to get along?"
Thomas' heart fluttered for a split second, later remembering that Alex liked John. Well, "like."
"Yeah, sure." he answered.
Now get ready for some drama.

Meanwhile in the girls locker room, the three sisters, Maria and Theo were changing. All of them were changing in the same room except for Peggy, who hid behind a bathroom stall (the bathrooms and locker rooms are connected).
Peggy was thinking thinking about how pretty Maria looked. Her perfectly-shaped eyebrows, her smooth matte lipstick, her gorgeous hair-
Maria was perfect. And Peggy was nothing. At least, according to herself.
She heard the girls "awww" but she wasn't paying attention. Nor did she pay attention to anything that they were saying. She was lost in her own mind.
What if I confess to Maria my feelings for her, right now, in front of everyone? She thought. She nodded to herself enthusiastically. After all, she had nothing to lose.
She quickly finished changing and ran to where the other girls were. As soon as she got there, though, she stopped dead in her tracks. "E-Eliza?"
Her voice cracked as Eliza and Maria pulled away from the kiss they shared. Angelica flicked her eyes from Eliza to Peggy to Maria. Theo quickly changed and headed to the door in which both locker rooms meet. She opened it and looked back briefly before shutting the door.
Peggy was now holding back tears. "How- How could you?" Her voice cracked multiple times saying this.
Maria asked, "What? You don't approve?" She seemed nervous, but not in the way the other two were. She was just concerned that Peggy wouldn't accept them.
"Peg, I can explain." Eliza began.
"DON'T EXPLAIN YOURSELF!" Peggy yelled. Her tears were racing down her cheeks. "YOU LIED TO ME ALL THIS TIME!"
"Actually, it's the first time we ki-"
Eliza was cut off by a hand striking her cheek. Eliza held her hand where it stung. "DON'T TRY TO EXPLAIN TO ME!" Peggy screamed. "You bitch! I trusted you. If you would have told me you liked her, than maybe I'd- I'd..." her face turned redder as she headed out to the door.
Once the door was shut, Maria said, "I have no idea what is going on."
Eliza slowly spoke up, choking back tears. "Maria, we can't be together."
Maria's eyes widened. "But why?"
"Because we can't!"
"But I love you!"
"And I don't. It was-" Eliza struggled to come up with someone. "Reynolds. He dared me to. And he offered me money, too."
Maria slapped Eliza on the other cheek. "I actually liked you and this is how you repay me? Your sister's right. You are a bitch." She opened the door and rushed out slamming the door back. Eliza crumbled to the floor, crying. Angelica rushed to her.
"Don't touch me! Let me be!" Eliza pushed Angelica away. Angelica scoffed, grabbing her belongings. "Fine, then." She headed for the door and left Eliza alone in the locker room.
Did Reynolds actually dare her? Obviously not. But Eliza would rather suffer than see her sister sad. Angelica had stepped aside for her multiple times. Eliza decided it was time to do the same with her sister, whom she loved more than anything and anyone else, just like Angelica, even if it means dying on the inside.
