Surviving Number 8. Part 9.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook and Jin both screamed once Taehyung passed out onto the kitchen floor. They both dropped beside him and began their efforts to try and wake him up.

Ky knelt down and tried to shake Taehyung awake but Jungkook pushed him back. "Stay away from him! Don't touch him!" the youngest cried.

Ky backed away. "Is he always this dramatic?" he asked nonchalantly.

"He's sick, Ky!" Jin yelled.

Jungkook turned to Jin.  "And you weren't helping him either!" he screamed. He had Taehyung's head in his lap as Taehyung was slowly waking back up. He let out small groans of pain as his eyes slowly fluttered back open.

"Hyungie!" Jungkook said. "Are you okay?"

"I'm...I'm dizzy," Taehyung admitted. He looked up and saw Ky standing above him and he felt like he was about to pass out all over again, but Ky gave him a dirty look and walked away without saying anything else.

Jin gestured for Jungkook to help him get Taehyung back on his feet and guide him to his bed. They lay him down and Jin left to get more water for his dongsaeng. As if he didn't feel terrible enough before, seeing Taehyung pass out made Jin feel a million times worse. He was angry at Ky for stepping in and making the situation worse, but he was also mad at himself for being a little less than loving towards Taehyung. He also felt bad for making Jungkook so upset throughout the entire ordeal.

Jungkook sat on Taehyung's bed and rubbed his back. "What happened?" he asked.

"I don't know," Taehyung replied. He was absolutely exhausted at this point and didn't have much energy left in him to stay awake or talk much.

"Hyungie...please eat," Jungkook begged. He stopped himself from beginning to cry. "You know this isn't good for you."

Taehyung stared at Jungkook blankly. He didn't feel well enough to put up a fight right now. He was drained of all he had.

"Hyung?" Jungkook asked. "Please?"

"I'll try," Taehyung whispered and closed his eyes to fall asleep. He didn't know if he meant it or not, all he knew was he wanted Jungkook to be quiet.

Jin came back in with the water and placed it on Taehyung's nightstand. Jungkook eyed his hyung without saying anything but he still felt the anger stirring around in his chest over the way Jin had treated Taehyung.

"What?" Jin asked when he noticed Jungkook staring.

"I'm angry with you," Jungkook told his hyung.

"I understand that but I really was just trying to help him," Jin replied.

"You weren't trying to help him! You were just trying to be controlling and tell him what to do!" Jungkook was starting to raise his voice at Jin and it was making the older get frustrated. He felt like Jungkook was forgetting his place as the youngest and being extremely disrespectful.

"First of all, don't you dare yell at me like that. Secondly, what the hell else was I supposed to do?! He wasn't listening to me!" Jin yelled.

"I tried to tell you that what you were doing wasn't the best thing and you didn't listen to me! And I will yell at you because you were being nothing but a dick!"

"Jeon Jungkook!" Jin screamed. Taehyung opened his eyes again because the two were fighting right in front of him. He didn't have the energy to get involved in the conversation but was curious to see their argument. It was interesting, and odd, to see the oldest and the maknae fight.

They never fought like this. This was something new.

Yoongi and Namjoon had come in from outside and entered Taehyung's room when they heard arguing. Apparently Hobi had heard it too because he made his way out of the bedroom where he was resting with Jimin and into Taehyung's with the others. Namjoon asked where Jimin was and Hobi said he was still completely passed out in bed.

"What's going on in here?" Hobi asked.

"Why don't you ask him?!" Jungkook pointed to Jin. Jin rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"I was trying to help Taehyung with his eating problem and it got a little out of hand. That's all," Jin told them.

"That's all?! Why don't you tell them how you were screaming at him trying to make him eat when he clearly told you he couldn't, and then you smacked the table to scare him?!" Jungkook cried.

"I didn't smack it to scare him! I was just...frustrated!" Jin cried back. The two were getting into a pretty heated argument.

"Alright hey, you two need to calm down," Yoongi gestured.

Jungkook completely ignored Yoongi and yelled more, "He was trying to force him to eat and he was being so mean about it! So mean that he made Taehyung pass out on the floor!"

Everyone looked to Jin questioningly, and then to Taehyung.

"You passed out?" Namjoon asked Taehyung.

Taehyung nodded. "I was just a little dizzy. I'm fine." He didn't want to mention how scared he was of Ky. That was a given at this point anyway. It made him feel a bit embarrassed that he'd gotten so worked up that he fainted.

"I'm not the one who made him pass out! Ky was the one being a jerk to him, not me! He was trying to get away from Ky and he passed out!" Jin yelled in defense.

Jungkook stood up and got in Jin's face with a red, tear filled face. "He was trying to run away from both of you!"

Hobi pulled Jungkook backwards. "Alright hey, enough of this."

Jin completely exploded on Jungkook and started screaming at him about how disrespectful he was being. The other members were in shock that the two were fighting like this.

"Please stop," Taehyung pleaded. Unfortunately his plea went unheard because he couldn't talk all that loudly and nobody heard him through Jungkook and Jin's screaming. It was breaking his heart. Their brotherhood wasn't supposed to be like this and Taehyung began to feel guilty thinking maybe this was his fault. He was the reason they were fighting at all.

"I'm not being disrespectful! I'm sticking up for my hyung!" Jungkook yelled at Jin.

"You can do that without acting like a goddamn little brat!" Jin screamed. Jin's face was equally as red as Jungkook's now, except he did a much better job at not letting any tears slip out. Jungkook's face was still drenched.

"Enough! Both of you!" Namjoon screamed so loudly that it made Jin and Jungkook immediately be quiet.

"What the hell has gotten into you two?! You never fight like this, and it ends now!" Namjoon was the band's leader and he took that role seriously, whether in the studio, or at home.

Everyone was now staring at Namjoon when it was clear he wasn't finished. "I don't know what actually happened, all I know is clearly there are two very different sides to this story and you two need to work it out."

"I have nothing to work out! Tell Jin hyung he needs to not be such an asshole!" Jungkook yelled at Namjoon.

"Jungkook!" Yoongi yelled sternly. "Stop talking like that!"

"Please get out," Taehyung groaned again. Once again, nobody heard him over each other's yelling. He furrowed his brows and sighed with frustration.

"Oh so what, you're going to side with him?!" Jungkook gestured to Jin.

"Nobody is siding with anyone Kookie..." Hobi pouted. His heart was breaking. He hated seeing the two argue.

"They just understand that you're being a disrespectful little ass!" Jin yelled. He had it with Jungkook's arguing . He was ready to scream at him even more but Namjoon spoke up again.

"That's it! You two need to sit down alone and have a talk with each other because clearly screaming in each other's faces is doing absolutely nothing!" Namjoon screamed.

"I don't want to talk to him!" Jin yelled.

"I don't want to talk to him either!" the maknae yelled back.

Taehyung had enough. He shot up in his bed, his head still spinning, and screamed louder than anyone. "Get out! Please everyone just get out! Fight somewhere else, anywhere else I don't care, just please get out!" He was desperate for rest.

The members looked at him and realized they truly were being a bit rude by fighting like this right in front of him when he wasn't feeling well. They all collectively scurried out of the bedroom and into the hallway. Jin and Jungkook were trying to go their separate ways until Namjoon mentioned again that they needed to work out their differences, and now. "We can't afford to fight like this. You two both need to swallow your pride and fix this. All we have is each other."

Jin and Jungkook didn't reply. They honestly didn't care right now to settle anything. Yoongi grabbed Jungkook and pushed him into his and Jin's room, and Namjoon and Hobi grabbed Jin and shoved him into his room too.

"You two are staying in here until you fix this," Namjoon demanded and slammed the door closed on them. Jungkook tried at the handle to escape the bedroom but the door wouldn't budge. The others were on the other side trapping the door closed.

"Let me out!" Jungkook screamed.

"Not until you fix things with each other!" Yoongi yelled back.

Jin walked up to the door and banged on it. "Let us out! I'm the hyung here and you have to respect what I say!"

"And I'm our leader and at times like this you have to respect what I say!" Namjoon yelled through the door. Both Jin and Jungkook tried getting the door to open but it was useless. They both sighed with frustration knowing that now they were both trapped in Jin's room together. Jin made his way to his bed and lay down. He wanted nothing to do with Jungkook at this point. He had originally felt bad, but after his maknae's disrespect he didn't feel bad at all anymore.

Jungkook leaned his back against the door and slid down it, cradling his knees to his chest. He buried his face into his knees with also no intention of speaking to Jin.

They both realized they'd probably be trapped in that room for a very long time.

And a long time had passed with nothing being said.

However, as time passed, Jungkook realized how badly his heart was starting to hurt. He was beginning to feel completely heartbroken over his fight with Jin. Now that he wasn't so angry at his hyung because he'd had so much time to calm down, he couldn't help but feel extremely unloved by his hyung.

Does he hate me now?

The thought made his heart drop to his stomach. He thought Jin would have spoken up and said something by now. He expected him to, him being the older one and all. But he hadn't said a word. He wondered if Jin would ever be nice to him again or if their relationship was completely ruined. He didn't want their relationship to be ruined. He suddenly found himself yearning for his hyung to even just say he still loved him. He felt empty but didn't know what to do or say. He didn't want to speak and make Jin angry again. That feeling of wanting to fix things was mixing with the slight anger he still had and it was making him confused. He clutched his knees to his chest more tightly and began to cry.

Jin heard Jungkook suddenly begin crying. At first he didn't care and ignored it, but as time went on Jungkook's cries turned into loud sobs that became too hard to ignore.

He hated the sound of Jungkook crying. It broke his heart. Even if he was angry, it broke his heart anyway. He didn't know what to say to Jungkook but he felt like he might actually go crazy if the crying didn't stop. He got up and made his way over to the maknae, kneeling in front of him. Jungkook wouldn't look up. Jin gently grabbed his arm but Jungkook tried backing away, being stopped by the door he was already sitting against.

"Hey, it's okay," Jin whispered. Jin grabbed him again and guided Jungkook forward into a hug, holding him tightly against his chest. Jungkook completely broke down.

Jin sighed with sorrow. Fighting wasn't worth this. It hurt too much.

"I'm sorry," Jin finally said.

Jungkook kept letting out loud sobs and drenching Jin's shirt with tears. Jin started rubbing his back. "Hyung is so, so sorry." He was getting a bit worried when his dongsaeng wasn't saying anything and just continuing to cry. He shook him a little bit. "Can you please say something? You're worrying me."

"P-please don't hate me," Jungkook choked out through his tears.

"I could never hate you," Jin pouted. "Clearly we're all just very stressed out."

"Yeah," Jungkook whispered.

"I don't want us to fight like this," Jin confessed.

"Me either," Jungkook replied. The two stopped talking again until Jin said they should probably just do what Namjoon said and work this out.

"But respectfully, this time," Jin said.

"Okay."

"So, you feel as though I was hurting Taehyung?" Jin asked. Jungkook nodded as he wiped some tears.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to hurt him, please know that. I would never hurt him. I just...saw how much weight he lost and got extremely worried for him. I felt desperate to do something and I panicked when he refused to eat. Please believe I was only trying to help. But I understand that how I acted wasn't exactly helpful. I didn't mean to upset you, or him."

"I'm sorry too, hyungie. For being disrespectful. I got scared. I got scared that you were being mean to Taehyungie and I was just trying to protect him. You know I'm protective."

"Yes, I know that." Jin rubbed Jungkook's back. "I know that."

Jungkook looked up at Jin with big sorrowful eyes, "I...I thought you might hit him."

Jin was completely taken back by the statement. "What? Why?"

"After you smacked the table. I thought...I just worried...you'd get mad enough and smack him too." Jungkook sunk his face back into Jin's chest to cry more.

"Oh, maknae...I would never do that. Please don't ever think I would do that. I have never done that. I can't believe you thought I would." Jin couldn't believe that Jungkook would ever think such a thing.

"I'm sorry. I just got anxious. You never get mad like you did in that moment and it just...you reminded me of Ky and I'm already afraid of Ky I don't want to be afraid of you too."

Jin felt his heart shatter in his chest and sprinkle pieces like glass throughout his entire body. I reminded him of Ky?!

Jin's tears came as he cradled Jungkook in his arms. "Please never think I'd be like him. Please. I'm so sorry I scared you that badly. I am not Ky. You know you never ever have to be afraid of me." He kissed the top of Jungkook's head. He understood better now why Jungkook had acted out so badly. Because he was scared. And it broke his heart knowing that his maknae was scared because of him.

"So you didn't want to hurt him?" Jungkook asked hesitantly. Jungkook had been under the wrong impression. He assumed Jin might have gotten angry enough to do something bad to Taehyung, whatever it might be.

"Of course not. Like I said, I would never do that, Jungkook."

Jungkook wrapped his arms around Jin and thanked him and said again how sorry he was for acting out and not being the best maknae. Jin was at a slight loss for words. He was too sad. If he scared Jungkook that much, he couldn't imagine how much he must have scared Taehyung.

"Are we okay now?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, yeah we're okay. I love you, bunny," Jin replied. Jungkook smiled at his hyung. Jin loved to see that smile on Jungkook's face.

"I love you too hyung. Can you promise me something?" Jungkook asked.

"Like what?"

"Can you promise no matter how angry you might get at us, you won't become like Ky?"

Jin ran his fingers through his maknae's hair.

"Of course, Kook-ah. I promise you I will never become like Ky."
