A Young boy and girl were seen running through a dark forest. The two soon stopping at a small clearing to catch their breath but soon found that cut short as there was a low rumbling, something approaching the two of them. The girl facing it with a glare while the boy looked on terrified.

Boy: I'm scared...

Girl: Don't worry, we're okay! Come on, over here...

The two began to run again but were soon cut off by a large foggy creature.

Girl: Yeep!

Boy: Oh no! They made it over here already!

Before the foggy creature could attack then a small wolf creature jumped in the way and attacked it.

Wolf: Get away from there!

The foggy creature seemed to be unaffected by the attack and went to go after the kids again only for it to be attacked by a humanoid fox creature this time.

Fox: I won't let you lay a hand on them!

The girl looked on worried for the two creatures.

Girl: You guys...!

But the creature again shrugged off the attack and lets out a loud roar that shook the forest they were in, scaring the boy even more. The two other creatures continued to try and take down the foggy creature but found that they still couldn't do anything to it as it continued to roar. It soon roared out again and lashed out striking the fox creature and sending them back a bit.

Wolf: D-Dang it!

The wolf moved behind the foggy creature and tried to attack them from behind.

Wolf: Blue Blaster!!!

It fired a stream of blue fire out at the foggy creature hitting it straight in the back, but again it barely did anything. With it then quickly turning and smacking the wolf far back into the forest.

Boy: N-No!!

Fox: Gwarr....!

The foggy creature lets out another roar and slowly approached the fox creature. With the girl running out in front of the fox trying to protect them.

Girl: *Holding out her arms* Nooo! I won't let you harm these children any more than you already have!

As she stood there in a defensive manner her eyes drifted off to the right seeing a sort of portal or gate way.

Girl: If we can just....Get to that place....!

The girl then looked back to the boy before letting out a small shaking breath.

Girl: Hurry! Run!

Boy: Ah, Miyuki?!

Girl: I'm Okay! Go, Head for that light!

She points to the portal in a authoritative manner. And was soon hit by an attack from the creature knocking her back a bit and causing her to cough in pain.

Girl: Unngh.... Run, Haru.... Get out of here!

Boy: No way! I'm not leaving you behind!

The girl looks at him with another authoritative look in her eyes.

Girl: What are you doing?! Go on, hurry!

The fox creature moved in front of the girl taking a hit for her but in turn was sent stumbling back as well.

Fox: It's no good... I can't hold them back anymore!

The foggy creature roared once more and then made a lunge for the boy.

Girl: Look out!!!

The girl quickly got up and running over to the boy and pushing him back towards the portal, with the girl taking another hit from the creature.

Boy: Yeep!!!

Once the boy came in close contact with the portal in began to suck him in with him trying to resist it.

Boy: What the-?! It's sucking me in...

The wolf creature slowly limped back to the clearing growling to themself all the while.

Wolf: Unngh! If anything happened to you, I'd-!

They seen cut themself seeing the boy being sucked into the portal.

Wolf: H-Huh?!

The girl then smiled back at the boy.

Girl: You have to get back safe on your own, somehow

The creature roared again as the girl looked to it in shock and suddenly the fog exploded out into another portal. But this one, was much darker in tone and held a much more sinister aura as well. From that portal came out multiple hand s that reached out from the portal and grabbed the girl as she desperately thrashed around to try and free herself but was soon pulled into the portal as she was screaming in fear and terror. All the while the boy could only watch on in terror as he was pulled into the blue portal.

Boy: Miyuki!!!

He began to thrash around as well but soon found it to be pointless.

Boy: I gotta save her... But I.... I can't....

And with that he was completely pulled into the portal as he cried out for the girl.

Boy: Miyuki!!!

There was a bright flash of light and the camera went black, with all we heard was the boy talking to himself.

Boy: Wait for me.... I'll rescue you, Miyuki... No matter what!

Years Later

We zoom in on a small rural area. Many houses being seen as well as a small creek with a path next to it off to the side as well. We the zoom in on a school like building surrounded by a small forest. Zooming in on it more we soon hear voices of Students as they walked down the hall to a classroom.

Female Student: Morning! You get any sleep last night?

Male Student 1: How about that quake this morning?

Male Student 2: Sure woke me up!

Heading into a room we see many students sitting around at tables. Some eating, while others were going over maps and reading through books. Zooming in on the table in the center of the room, we three people sitting there. A boy with short black hair with an ahoge , and brown eyes. He was also wearing red-framed on his head, a black shirt, and a white hoodie with blue sleeves, hood, and hemlines. He also wore grey pants and white sneakers.

Sitting next to him was a girl with shoulder-length black hair, which was worn in a ponytail, and grey eyes. She wore a white collared shirt, a purple sweater vest, black pants, and purple sneakers with white soles.

And sitting across from them was another girl, though she looked a bit younger than the two. She was wearing a jacket similar to the boys. She had a black shirt on underneath the jacket, with black shorts on along with black and yellow shoes. She also wore a black hat and goggles. While also having ash grey hair and red eyes.

The boy calmly ate his food before looking to the girl next to him.

Goggles Boy: Where are these ruins we're going to again?

The girl smiled at him.

Girl: Hold on. I have a map in here somewhere...

After saying this she reached into her bag searching for the map she had talked about.

Goggle girl: .....

All the while the younger girl with the goggles stayed silent while looking through here phone reading something, making small hums whenever she gets to something interesting that she's reading. While she had a can of some sort of carbonated drink in her hand, with another empty one sitting on the table in front of her. As the girl was searching for the map a boy with brown eyes, and spiky brown hair, wearing a turtlenecked orange jacket with long sleeves and black stripes on the neck, slide behind the girl and the goggle boy.

Then lifted his hands and was about to slap them on the backs of the Goggles boy and girl.

Boy: Goooood morn-

But before he could, without even looking up from her phone the goggles girl swatted the empty can on the table with it flying up and hitting the boy in the forehead.

Boy: Yikes!

This causing the Goggles boy and the girl to look back at him surprised.

Goggles Girl: .....Baka.....

Girl: *Giggles* Well Minoru, looks like she got you today

The boy now known as Minoru rubbed his forehead and chuckled.

Minoru: Yeah yeah, but I'll get you back some time (N/N)-Chan!

Goggles Girl: Mmm....

The goggles boy picked up the can she launched at Minoru and looked at it before looking at the current can she had in her hand.

Goggles Boy: This is your second one this morning huh....

Goggles Girl just looked up at him silently before looking back down at her phone.

Goggles Boy: *Sighs* You know that's not healthy (Y/N)

(Y/N) looked up at him for a second before once again going back to her phone again causing the boy to sigh. Minoru putting a hand on his shoulder.

Minoru: Don't sweat it man. That's just (Y/N) for ya, I'm sure she'll grow out of it eventually

Girl: Yeah

The three share a laugh as we then pan of to a table close by. A girl with blonde hair, wearing a dress with a pink jacket on was looking over at them with a small side eye.

She let out a small sigh as she began to scroll through her phone. On the other side of the room there were three girls that were taking selfies.

Girl: Okay....Three, two, one....

???: Hey, move it

Looking over to the voice they were met with a boy with short black hair, and black eyes. He was wearing a purple bandana with two yellow stripes on its right side, a yellow shirt with long sleeves under a white and purple zippered jacket. He also wears blue pants with a pocket on each side, and purple sneakers with yellow soles.

He was giving the three and ugly glare. They stared at him for a few seconds before quickly clearing out of his way.

Girl: S-Sorry!

Mean Boy: Tch!

The gave them one last glare before walking inside of the room and sitting at the table that the blonde girl was sitting at. All the while she gave him a cheeky grin.

Blonde: Wow, you're such a charmer. No wonder all the girls love you

The Mean Boy just scoffed at that and looked away while leaning on the chair.

Mean Boy: Oh, shut up

Seconds later the news came on, on the TV that was in the room catching most of the people in the room's attention.

News reporter: Which brings us to the news. At roughly five o'clock this morning, a magnitude 3 earthquake hit Kanobe City

The girl looked up at the TV after hearing this.

Girl: Wait, isn't that here?

Everyone else looked up at the TV as (Y/N) just looked back quietly.

(Y/N): .....

News Reporter: It caused a landslide in part of the region and police and fire departments urge caution.

Everyone stared at the TV in silence as the news continued.

Minoru: Jeez this place really is getting hit hard huh....

Girl: No kidding...

Goggles Boy: Hmm....

News Reporter: Due to the risk of further seismic activity, everyone in the Kanobe area is encouraged...

The mean boy leaned a bit in his chair as he looked up at the TV.

Mean Boy: This is crazy. Is it really safe for us to go on this trip?

There was soon clapping heard at the doors to the classroom with everyone looking over there. With a boy with black hair, wearing black rimmed glasses, and a dark green jacket that goes to his waist with a white T-shirt underneath and dark blue jeans with smart brown shoes.

Glasses: All right, everyone. It's time for us to head out

We then cut to outside with the students standing in front of the sort of school building. Up at front was a teacher and the boy with glasses. They discussing with the students.

Teacher: Make sure you listen to your group leaders

Glasses: Remember, this isn't a vacation. Make sure you stick to the schedule

All the students began to move out with their assigned groups, while the mean boy moved forward with his hands in his pockets.

Mean Boy: This sucks...

As he walked the Blonde girl was giggling while taking small pictures of herself. With her soon finishing and pocketing her phone following after the mean boy. Goggles boy, (Y/N), the girl and Minoru were walking together before Goggles Boy stopped and looked back up at the building. Looking at one of the windows he sees the shadow of a boy in it.

Goggles Boy: Huh...

(Y/N): Takuma...?

Goggles Boy lets out a small "huh" and looked to (Y/N) as she was staring at him silently.

(Y/N): What are you looking at...?

Takuma looked at (Y/N) silently before looking back up at the window now seeing that the shadow was gone.

Minoru: You okay Takuma?

Takuma: Y-Yeah....Just thought I saw something....Sorry

The group continued to head off but something felt a bit off. Something that (Y/N) took notice of too, looking back at the school briefly and as she does she could've sworn she heard......Singing.

Takuma: (Y/N), come on, don't get left behind

(Y/N): Coming...

She quickly followed after the group, but the sounds of singing was still etched into the back of her mind. Takuma looked up at the sky.

Takuma: *Mutters* I guess I can't really call this camp, considering that we're hole up in an abandoned school in the mountains here...

Minoru: So we're checking out that crusty old landmark today? Sounds laaame if you ask me...

Takuma: Come on, don't say that Minoru! Not like I disagree, but still

Girl: Hey, you two, don't talk like that! I told you we weren't here for fun and games after all

Minoru: Yeah, yeah, soooo sorry, your Highness

Girl: *Sigh* Again with that kind of talk....Can't you both act a bit more interested, like (Y/N)

She motioned to (Y/N) who was on her phone again reading. Minoru and Takuma looked her with deadpan smiles.

Minoru: Sorry to say Aoi, but (N/N)-Chan looks like she's more interested in her manga than anything regarding those lame-o ruins

(Y/N): Mmm....

Aoi just sighed again.

Takuma: Either way, what's today's route, Aoi? We're starting at the cherry blossom trees, right?

Aoi smiled to Takuma and took out a map.

Aoi: Today we're going here, and then I think over here. And do you know why, Minoru?

Minoru rests his arms behind his head with a carefree smile.

Minoru: Something about local legends or religion, right? They say there's some weird stuff!

Minoru chuckled

Minoru: Not that it matters to me! I'm just here for fun in the sun!

(Y/N): *Still looking at her phone* I guess that explains why you're grades are so low...

Minoru looks at (Y/N) shocked.

Minoru: H-How did you know about that?!

(Y/N) looks at him with a side eye

(Y/N): You should learn to stop keeping you grades card out in the open....

Minoru just looked down and sighed in defeat

Aoi: *Sighs* Looks like you're the only one I can rely on, Takuma. Keep an eye on him, would?

Takuma: I'm not Minoru's babysitter over here, heck if I was anyone's babysitter it'd be (Y/N)....

(Y/N): I think I babysit you more than you babysit me....

Takuma looked at (Y/N) and just chuckled a bit. Minoru then pulled out his phone and his face turned to a look of shock.

Minoru: Oh, WOW!

Takuma: Huh? What is it?

Minoru showed the others his phone.

Minoru: Check it out! There's another story about a rockslide!

Aoi: Another one....That's several days in a row, now. I hope it doesn't mean an earthquake's coming...

Minoru: Not just that, but look here. Isn't this close to where we're supposed to go today?

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Seems a bit dangerous to go there when there was just a rockslide...

Aoi: Wait, really? I wonder if our plans for the day are still on?

(Y/N); *Thoughts* It'd be dumb to do so.....But I doubt they'd cancel it either.....

The tension in the air grew thicker as it seems everyone else had heard the news. Though that was quickly subsided when the boy with glasses spoke up.

Glasses: All right, everyone, CALM DOWN! Everything's going to be JUST FINE! All the teachers have CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS for dealing with ANY emergency!

Minoru: Jeez that Shuuji really knows how to be loud huh?

(Y/N): He's a chaperone......What do you expect....

 Shuuji: The teachers and chaperones are ensuring our safety, so there is NOTHING to WORRY ABOUT! Fear not, fellow students! Our destination is this historic landmark. OFF WE GO!

Minoru chuckled a bit.

Minoru: There he goes, at it again! That Shuuji is too straight-laced for his own good...

Aoi: Is that any way to talk about someone two years older than you?

Minoru: Right you are, my little Aoi!

Another can was thrown at his forehead by (Y/N).

(Y/N): .....Baka......

Minoru rubs his head as Aoi and Takuma sighed.

Aoi: Well, we should get moving before we get left behind

Minoru: Ah, yeah come on. Let's hit it!

Takuma: Alright let's get moving

(Y/N): Mmm...

With that the whole group headed out towards their destination. With them soon crossing a bridge and ending up on a path littered with cherry blossom trees. (Y/N) looked up at them, taking her sight off her phone for the time being.

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Something still feels off.....

She looks on at the cherry blossom trees as the cherry blossoms slowly fell from them.

(Y/N): *Thought* Everything just......Doesn't feel right.....

Minoru: Maaan, is this spring, or is this spring, amirite?

(Y/N) was drawn out of her thoughts as she looked back at the group as she was brought out of it by Minoru's quip.

Aoi: Right... Maybe the abundance of nature here brings out the beauty of these blossoms

Takuma grins widely and places a hand on his hip.

Takuma: I'm glad we came on this camp. Makes me look forward to the historic landmark ahead

(Y/N): Yeah.....It's alright....

Aoi: Indeed. I find myself brimming with a sort of excitement

Minoru: Heheh, if you put it that way, it sounds like we've got some fun ahead of us

He looked off to the right and sees the blonde girl and the mean boy standing on the path as well. The blonde girl looking around while the mean boy was not looking all that interested.

Minoru: Oh? Looks like Saki and Ryo beat us to the punch

Aoi: They did go on ahead of us, after all

(Y/N): *Thoughts* They're probably here to enjoy the cherry blossoms......They are quite nice......Though with Ryo.......He's probably just brooding....

Saki: Woooow, look how beautiful it is! The flowers are so pretty!

Ryo: Hmph...

Saki just giggled at Ryo's response

Saki: Ha ha, what kind of person gets all grumpy in front of a bunch of blooming cherry blossoms? But man, talk about a waste! Gorgeous weather and we're doing extracurricular nonsense...

Ryo looks at Saki not impressed

Ryo: What does one have to do with the other?

Takuma: Yeah that seems about right, with how Ryo usually is

(Y/N): Mmm...

(Y/N) looks at the cherry blossoms again. As the others began to look around as well. As (Y/N) looked on she soon began to pick up on Saki and Ryo's conversation, with her looking over at them with a side eye.

Saki: Jeez, what crawled up your backside and died?

Ryo: Search me

Saki: Let me guess: Shuuji and the teachers gave you flak for your "cheerful" disposition?

Ryo just scoffed at this.

Ryo: You dunno what you're talkin' about

Saki: Sure, sure, whatever you say. Come on, it's time to go!

Ryo: Tch....All right, already...

The two turn to leave but before they did Ryo noticed (Y/N) looking at them, to which he gave her a glare.

Ryo: Tch, what're you looking at

Saki: Come on Ryo, let's not get left behind

Ryo just rolled his eyes.

Ryo: Whatever...

The two then continued down the path.

(Y/N): *Mutters* Rude...

(Y/N) looks on as the two walked away but got a strange twinge in the back of her head as she looked at Ryo.

(Y/N): *Thoughts* What the....

Minoru chuckled a bit attracting the attention of the rest of the group.

Minoru: Those two get along way better than I figured they would

Aoi: More like Saki can get along with anyone....

Minoru: That Ryo is a real pain, too. She must be some kinda saint

Aoi: Now is that any way to speak about him? All of us need to work together...

(Y/N): *Mutters* Still doesn't change the fact that he's quite rude...

Minoru: I never heard anything come out of his mouth that wasn't a complaint about something. I can kind of relate to be honest. It's like looking at how I used to be. Kinda embarrassing... You sure he's older?

Aoi: Your past self...? Is that something a middle schooler is supposed to say?

(Y/N): You're only fourteen...

Minoru: S-So, still good to look back on your past and make sure you don't make the same mistakes! C-Come on Takuma back me up!

Takuma just chuckled a bit and scratches the back of his head.

Takuma: H-How about we just head on with the rest of the group

(Y/N): Yeah....Let's go....

They follow after the rest of the students and soon head up the trail and soon found that it was blocked off by a police barricade, some police being there along with some people being confused on what was happening.

Takuma: Huh? Look at that...

(Y/N): Police.....It must be about that rockslide....

Minoru: Jeez and it looks like the road is blocked off from here...Aw man, did I call it, or did I call it? "JUST FINE" my ass, right, Takuma?

Aoi: Oh dear, this poses a problem. There's only one path to the landmark, through here....

(Y/N): What was that places purpose anyway....?

Aoi: Oh my, did you forget to review (Y/N). Well, I'll remind you, then. It's the site of the ritual related to the Kemonogami

(Y/N): You mean those Beast God things....

Aoi: Yeah.....Though it looks like we can't do anything about it for now. Our only option is to head back for now...

Minoru: Hey, we've come all this way, might as well get the low-down on what went down here!

Takuma: We might as well, not like we have to head back right away

Aoi: *Sighs* Alright...

(Y/N): Mmm...

With that they split off to see what was going on around there. After some time of gathering some information, (Y/N) soon heard some noise and looked over seeing Saki and Ryo, talking to a girl that looked to be around (Y/N)'s age. She was wearing a green hat, who was wearing a hoodie that looked to be a bit to big for her.

(Y/N): Saki and Ryo....Who're they talking to....

(Y/N) looked on before she got a bit closer without being noticed and began to listen in on there conversation.

???: Okay! You listening? These rockslides are retribution from the Kemonogami

Saki: "Retribution"? In this day and age?

Ryo looked on unimpressed.

Ryo: Give me a break...

The girl gave them a cheeky grin.

???: Yes! When disrespectful outsiders cause trouble on the mountain, they get mad! This holy mountain is the Kemonorium, a sacred shrine to the Kemonogami!

She puts a hand on her hip while lifting her other arm causing the sleeve to slip down revealing her hand. To which she had her index finger pointed up. That cheeky grin not leaving her face all the while.

???: This is no place for someone to just wander around!

Ryo looks at her before a smug grin adorned his face.

Ryo: The heck's a "Kemonorium"? I bet it's some weird rock or bear carving they worship that stuff in the boonies

Saki: Chill out, Ryo. She's just a kid, you don't have to get so nasty with her

Ryo: Nasty?! I was just-!

???: *Pouts* Hmph! The boonies, you say. How rude! This is the site of a glorious shrine! Not some new imitation, but a historic legendary shrine known only to locals!

(Y/N): *Mutters* Legendary Shrine?

Saki: A shrine? You mean like the ones supposed to have ancient gods? I've read about those before. Gods of the Harvest, or Fertility, things like that

???: Nah, this is different. These are ancient Beast Gods known only to the local! I've known all about these gods, ever since I came here

Ryo: Sound like a fairy tale to me

???: It isn't! They're real!

Saki: What's your name, kid?

???: It's Miu!

(Y/N): She's an odd girl...

She continued to listen in on them until they headed down a path that was branching off the main trail.

(Y/N): Hmm...

The others took noticed of them heading off as well.

Aoi: I guess they're off to get some extra credit somewhere....That's Saki for you

Minoru: Something tells me they're not up to anything so commendable

Aoi: They don't even know what kind of temple it is, do they? Entry may be prohibited

Takuma: In that case we should proba-

(Y/N): We should follow them...

The other three looked at her a bit shocked that she suggested this but she doesn't say anything and just headed on up the path that the three went down.

Minoru: What's gotten into her?

Takuma: No clue

He then headed off after her, causing the other two to follow as well. Heading down the path they found that it was heavily forested, but they soon found themselves at the entrance of a tunnel.

Minoru: Huh? No ones here...

Takuma: There's no other paths here either...

(Y/N): They had to have gone through the tunnel...

Aoi: The Tunnel?

The four look to the tunnel.

Minoru: Lookit this dark, creepy little murder tunnel..

Takuma: Tell me about it

(Y/N): It feels....Colder around the tunnel....

Aoi: Would you three please refrain from such absurd talk?

Minoru chuckled a bit trying to lighten the mood.

Minoru: I bet one of those ghost hunter shows would get a kick out of this pla-

(Y/N): Can you can it with the jokes Minoru......We still need to find Saki and Ryo.....

Minoru: It's still odd to see you show concern like this....

(Y/N): Mmm...

The four began to look around a bit more but soon found no one else was there besides them.

Aoi: I don't see them here... Maybe we should forge on ahead?

???: HEY! YOU THERE!

(Y/N): We got a guest...

Looking over to the voice they soon see Shuuji quickly approaching them, looking a bit out of breath seemingly running all the way here.

Aoi: Shuuji? Is that you?

(Y/N): Doesn't look like you get much cardio...

Shuuji: *Pants* I'm.....*Pants* Fine...

He soon catches his breath and regained his composure and looked at the four.

Shuuji: You CAN'T just run off on your own! We have ENOUGH trouble with the landslide as it is

Minoru: Ex-squeeze me, your Blustership. Besides-

(Y/N): We saw Saki and Ryo go down this way...

Shuuji sighs upon hearing this and crossed his arms.

Shuuji: Oh, for-that guy has to learn to act his age already. I have his and Saki's numbers in the student phone book. I'll try giving them a call

Shuuji walks off to and calls them but his face falls a bit as it soon appears that he couldn't get in contact with them.

Minoru: Say... What do you think they were even talking to that girl about anyway?

(Y/N): She was talking about a shrine that was for the Kemonogami...

Minoru: Hmm? What are those things anyway?

Takuma: Who knows.... Some kind of animals, I guess?

Aoi: Minoru... You didn't hear a single word of the lecture on today's landmark, did you? They're gods taking the shapes of beasts, the legend of which was passed down in this area. That kid said "only the locals" know them, so I bet this land has some unique creatures!

Minoru: So they became gods, and started handing out retribution like hotcakes? Give me a break!

(Y/N): Maybe, don't lay it off so casually like that....

(Y/N) looked back at the tunnel again feeling that chill once again.

Aoi: I'd imagine only locals come to visit here these days

Minoru: That's the way the cookie crumbles it looks like!

Shuuji soon walked back up to the group.

Shuuji: No good. It seems neither Saki nor Ryou have a signal where they are

Minoru: Huh, I guess it'd be weird if their phones worked in the middle of nowhere like this

(Y/N): We'll have to look for the old way then....

Shuuji: Now hold on now, you're sure that they came this way?

(Y/N): We saw them come this way with our own eyes....

Minoru: They ain't around here, that's for sure. Maybe the shrine is up ahead?

Aoi looks at the map a bit concerned.

Aoi: It isn't on our map, so we're not sure where to look...

Shuuji: All right. We'll have to track those two down and head back to school ASAP

(Y/N): Through the tunnel then...

Shuuji: Alright let's go

They begin to make their way to the tunnel and as they did Shuuji looked to Takuma.

Shuuji: You know, you could have stopped them from going in the first place

Takuma: Well, it kind of all happened before we could even figure out what was happening, so we really did have time to understand what was happening...

Shuuji: Ah, I see. Um, well, nothing to be done about it now. We'll just have to find them and bring them back to the school. Well, let's go bring back Ryo and Saki together now!

They then heard footsteps coming their way.

Minoru: Huh? Hey, who's that coming this way?

They stop and look back seeing a boy with blonde hair, though the top and sides of his hair were black. He wore a black shirt with a red collar. And green pants.

???: Excuse me. All of you are from that camp, right? I live around here. I'm just looking for my little sister...

Aoi: Your sister?

???: Yes, she's a bit frail, but likes to go off on her own...My sister is...how do I put this...Like a tiny animal...Timid, and needing protection...

(Y/N): *Thoughts* He sounds more so overprotective than her being like a tiny animal...

Minoru: Uh, are we talking about the same girl?

Takuma: There was a kid hanging around her named Miu, but she doesn't fit the bill

???: Miu...? Did you just say Miu?!

Takuma stepped back a bit taken aback by his out burst.

Takuma: Uhhh yeah, I sure did...

(Y/N): She looked a bit younger than me, wearing an oversized hoodie and a hat with cat ears....

???: Yes, that's her! You've seen her?!

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Sister Complex....

???: Well, what are you waiting for tell me, where did she go?!

Aoi: Well... I'm sorry, but we're actually looking for her ourselves

(Y/N): She went to some shrine with two other students from our camp

Minoru: We were just going to try and bring them back with us

???: I see, so she went off on her own... Thank you very much

He looked down and mutters.

???: And after I told her she's not allowed to go in there...!

The boy let's out a small sigh and looked back to the group.

???: My name is Kaito. If you want, we could go look for them together

Minoru: Why not? We're all after the same thing. Plus you know where the place is, right?

Kaito: *Smiles* Ha ha.....Sure, I'll show you the way. I wasn't raised here, but I've lived here for a long time. I know where the shrine is. Come on follow me

Minoru: I'm Minoru, that's Takuma, this here is Aoi and the little tyke is (Y/N), Takuma's little sis

Kaito looks to Takuma.

Kaito: So, you're an older brother too huh?

Takuma: *Chuckles* Yeah, though she tends to look after me more than I look after her

Shuuji: And I'm the leader, Shuuji. Nice to meet you Kaito

Takuma looked up to the sky confused.

Takuma: Uh, say, guys. It's spring now, right?

Minoru: Does a bear poop in the woods? If it's not spring then when is it?

(Y/N): It's starting to snow...

Minoru: What're you-

Snow then started falling around them, with everyone looking on in shock.

Aoi: Sn-Snow? At this time of year?

Takuma: Calling this unseasonal would be a bit of an understatement

Aoi: Indeed

Kaito: It snowed her last week, too. I heard the weather gets all wonky around these parts

Minoru: I've heard of similar stories in other places...

The snow soon began to pick up more and more, into a flash blizzard.

Minoru: Whoa, uh.... Some kinda blizzard has kicked up here, yeah?

(Y/N): We should hurry up and head through the tunnel, if we don't want to get frozen...

Shuuji: R-Right! Come on everyone!

The others nod and quickly head into the tunnel. Upon heading through it the cold only grew more. They continued through and (Y/N) took noticed to that they were walking through some type of shrine gates.

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Shrine gates.....In a tunnel?

They continue through until they reached the other side and ended up in some type of forest, in a clearing full of red flowers. 

(Y/N): *Thoughts* The snow stopped...

Minoru: What the-What happened to the blizzard?

Aoi: This tunnel isn't that long... What could be happening here?

Minoru: Ha ha, talk about lucky! It just up and stopped on us!

Aoi: It's more like it didn't snow at all on this side of the tunnel

The group looked around a bit on where they were with them all taking noticed on all the flowers that surrounded them.

Minoru: And look at these flowers....Ain't they something else? The forest is a sea of red. I feel like...I've seen them in our field guide, maybe

(Y/N): Red spider lilies...

Minoru: Right, that's what they are! But this isn't right. It's spring and...

Aoi: Yes, they bloom in the autumn. What in the world is going on here...?

(Y/N) got another twinge in the back of her head and holds her head grunting a bit.

Takuma: Huh? (Y/N) are you okay?

(Y/N): Y-Yeah....Just a headache....*Thoughts* This is still so weird that this keeps popping up....

Kaito: Either way, we should hustle. The snow may be on us on any second. Let's hurry to the shrine

Takuma: Yeah, he's right. Lead the way!

Minoru: They don't seem to be anywhere around here. The shrine must be further in...

The others nod and headed towards the shrine and after sometime they soon reached it. Seeing that it was decrepit and rundown. 

Minoru: How could anyone expect visitors to come to a shrine all the way out here?

Kaito: They didn't. In fact, they made sure to warn anyone about getting too close

Aoi began to look around worried.

Aoi: That's strange... I don't see the others anywhere

Minoru: I could've sworn I saw someone just now. Now where could they  be?

Takuma: We should all look around and see what we can find

Shuuji: Right, let's do so

With that everyone spread out around the shrine and began to look around. (Y/N) looked up at the shrine and approached it.

(Y/N): This shrine....Nothing looks out of place but.....It still feels so strange.... 

As she thought this Minoru soon walked up and started taking pictures 

Minoru: Check out this place.... There are crazy patterns all over

(Y/N): Stop screwing around....We're supposed to be looking for those three remember....

Minoru: I know, I know but you can't blame me for wanting to take some pictures. It's not everyday that you get to see this stuff

(Y/N) sighs while shaking her head. And the others continue to search around some more. With them all soon meeting up with one another in front of the shrine.

Takuma: Wow...This shrine really does worship beasts...

Minoru: There are places like this all over Japan. Some worship octopuses, or weird-ass trees...The ones that worship the lewd stuff are the best!

After saying this he was given a chop to the head by (Y/N).

(Y/N): ......Baka......

Minoru: Ow ow ow!!

Shuuji: (Y/N), even if he deserved that please reframe from hitting other students

(Y/N): Mmm...

Aoi sighs at this.

Aoi: I wonder... Is this the place passed down in the legends we were supposed to visit today?

Kaito: Legends? Who knows... As I said, I was told not to set foot in here. I don't know much about it. But the locals say people get spirited away up in here

Aoi: I see. That's....Certainly frightening...

The group then heard a roar causing them all to jump in shock.

Minoru: What was that sound? I've never heard anything like it!

Kaito shakes his head calming down a bit.

Kaito: Just trees creaking in the wind or something. Who cares, let's go, let's go!

Shuuji: Um, hey guys, don't stray too far, okay?

(Y/N): *Thoughts* That wasn't just the wind...

They began to look around some more.

Shuuji: This is all just a mess, how could this have happened...

Minoru: Aw, come on Shuuji. It's not all that bad, I mean we get to see a cool place like this after all

Shuuji: We're not even supposed to be out here Minoru!!

(Y/N) just sighed at their bickering as everyone else continued to look around. As she did she soon got felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. Taking it out she finds that it automatically went to the camera.

(Y/N): *Mutters* What the...

She couldn't exit the camera confusing her more and she points it forward and looked around with it soon finding that it picked up some type of glitch and began to pick up a strange foggy creature standing there. It then turned away and headed off down a path. (Y/N) looked at this and began to follow.

Takuma: H-Huh? (Y/N) where are you going?

(Y/N) didn't respond however and kept following what she saw. Takuma looked on concerned and followed after his sister with the others looking on surprised at this. Shuuji was about to say not to split off from the group but found the others following after Takuma, causing him to sigh and quickly follow them as well. Soon the others found (Y/N) standing in front of some ruins. She looking up at them silently.

Takuma: (Y/N), you shouldn't walk off like that

(Y/N): .....

Kaito looked up at the ruins as well, being quite surprised seeing them.

Minoru: Lookit the size of this thing!

Shuuji: Wow... Are these ruins? Hmm... these look pretty old

Minoru looked to Kaito.

Minoru: Say, any idea what this is?

Kaito: Not a clue... I've never heard of anything like this. If it's like the shrine's sacred prohibited space, I'd get it if no one talks about it. Or at least, I wouldn't be surprised, but... Don't tell me Miu went in there?

Aoi: There's no way a girl would go into a place like this...

Kaito: That's where you're wrong. If it's her we're talking about, I guarantee she went inside

Minoru: I bet you Saki ran right in after her, huh? All "ooo" this and "ahhh" that

Aoi: That...does seem to fit her M.O

Kaito: Miuuu!

Shuuji: H-Hey wai-

Takuma: Come on we can't lose track of him

Kaito quickly ran into the ruins with the others following behind him as well. Once inside they see Kaito looking around a bit dejected.

Minoru: Ahhh, there you are! Hmm? What's up?

Aoi: You just ran off, don't worry us like that...

Kaito: Oh, uh, sorry...

Takuma: What the-I don't believe it!

Looking over to one of the walls they see a strange mural across the whole wall.

(Y/N): A mural...

Takuma: This is really something else...

Minoru: Whoa, you're telling me. I feel like I could get swallowed up by it

Aoi: Exactly. How do I explain it.... There's just something divine about it

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Danger....Retribution.....I don't think those were the reasons why this area was closed off to others...

Kaito: Hey, now's no time for gawking. Or did you forget what we came here for?

Minoru: Riiight, right, right. Sorry, just got caught up in all this

Takuma began to look around some more.

Takuma: What is it about this place? I can't take my eyes off of it

Aoi: We should go, Takuma. I'm kind of....Well, scared

Minoru: C'mon, we can check this place out once we find the others

Takuma: Yeah, you're right

Footsteps were heard by the entrance to the ruins catching the attention of everyone there. Looking to the entrance they see someone walking in. It was an old man with a bowler hat with a blue shirt and brown jacket.

???: Hmm? And you are...?

Takuma: Ah, hello there...

Minoru: Whozzat?

Shuuji: Your guess is as good as mine...

???: What are all of you doing here? Surely you know you can't be in here

Shuuji looked down a bit while scratching the back of his head.

Shuuji: Ah, um. Well, you see...

Kaito: That's our line, man. What're you doing here?

???: Hmm? Oh, no need to worry, my purpose here is far from nefarious. I am a researcher of the Kemonogami faith passed down in this region. This shrine is connected to said faith. I just got permission to investigate it

Aoi: Researcher...Investigate? Are you a scholar of some sort?

???: Indeed. I study ancient Japanese history, researching it for a university nearby

Shuuji: Then, uh, that makes you a professor?

Professor: Ha ha, I've been shunned from scientific society... Ah, forget that last part

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Is this place really that important to research?

Professor: Well, then. What has brought all of you to a place like this?

Shuuji: Yes, well you see sir...

Kaito: I'm gonna go look somewhere else

Shuuji: Hey, Kaito!

(Y/N): Off he goes again...

Minoru: Now, now, Shuuji, let's just let him do his own thing for now, yeah?

(Y/N) sighed again and the others looked around as well. As the Professor walked up to Takuma and began to discuss with him. All the while the others discussed with each other on what they were going to do. (Y/N) let's out a small sigh before slipping out of the ruins, cracking open another can of her drink taking a sip from it then letting out a sigh.

(Y/N): This place is all so strange.....what is going on here......and why do I keep getting these dang headaches too....

???: EEEYAWAWAWAAA!!!

(Y/N): Huh?

Suddenly a small mass ran into her nearly knocking her done, while knocking her drink out of her hand. Looking down at what it was she sees that it was Miu.

(Y/N): Wait.....You're that Miu girl? What's with the screaming, are you okay?

Miu: S-Some weird creep popped out of nowhere, so I took off! Ah. Oh no, I left Saki behind...

???: Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

The screaming gained the attention of the others in the ruins as they ran out as well.

Minoru: What's with all the screami-

(Y/N) ran off to the scream near the shrine.

Takuma: (Y/N) wait!

Takuma ran after her as well.

Shuuji: W-Wait we shouldn't split up like this!

Minoru: We don't got much time to argue this Shuuji!

Professor: .....

Shuuji: Dang it...

They quickly head off towards the shrine as well. Once they reached there they see that the area was completely surrounded by fog.

(Y/N): Fog...This wasn't here earlier....

Takuma: What in the world....

Minoru: If we go out in this now we'll be just as lost as the others....

Aoi: What about Saki? And that scream just now...

Another roar was heard along with a scream from Saki.

Saki: Aaaaaaaah! Stay away from meee!

(Y/N): There!

Looking over they see Saki was backing away from a something.

Aoi: Is...Is she being attacked by something?

Minoru: You mean like a pervert?

Aoi: A pervert? On a MOUNTAIN?!

(Y/N): I hear growling....That doesn't seem like a pervert.....

From the fog they see something glow as it continued to approach Saki.

Minoru: Whoa, hey! I... Was it just me, or did something light up over there?

Aoi: We need to head over and help her now!

Takuma: R-Right! We have to help Saki!

They ran over towards Saki and soon find her with Ryo, both of them being slowly backing away from a small rock creature with glowing eyes, surrounded by a black fog.

Takuma: What is that....Some kind of statue?

Minoru: No....no, that thing's moving!

Shuuji: What in the world...? That's impossible...

The rock creature took another step forward and roared at Saki and Ryo.

Takuma: That sound again! So this weird thing was making it?

Saki: YEEEEEK!

Ryo: Yeeeep! Back off, you freak show!

Miu: What is that?!

Kaito soon ran in upon hearing the screaming.

Kaito: Hey, what's going on?! I heard a bunch of screaming back here! Miu! You were here the whole time!

Miu: What? Kaito?! Why are you here?!

Aoi: Wait, Saki! We're coming to help!

Saki: Aoi?! No, stay away!

Ryo: No, come here and heeelp!

The eyes on the rock creature glowed again as it roared once again, looking straight at the group.

Miu: That creepy thing's looking this way...

(Y/N): Tch...

She then quickly pulled out her pocketknife.

Shuuji: Wait, you've had that on you this whole time?! You know how dangerous that i-

(Y/N): Now's not the time Shuuji!

Those who knew her was a bit shocked seeing the usually quiet girl yell like that but she was right seeing the situation they were in. The rock creature roared again and took another step forward.

Ryo: What're you waiting for?! Get the hell over here, already!

The professor soon arrived and looked on in shock at seeing the rock creature.

Professor: Could that be one of the Kemonogami?! No...How could that be?!

Takuma: M-Maybe we can try and talk to it?

(Y/N): I don't think that thing is in a talking mood Takuma!

The rock creature roared again and launched at them going for an attack. It's attack going straight for Shuuji.

Shuuji: Wha-UWAAAH!

Takuma: Look out, Shuuji!

Takuma jumped in the way of the attack and was knocked back a bit

Aoi: Takuma?!

(Y/N) growled at seeing this.

(Y/N): Leave my brother alone!

Minoru: (Y/N) wait!

(Y/N) Rushed in to try and stab the creature but, was quickly knocked back by a blow to the stomach by the creature. Leaving (Y/N) laying on the ground coughing and gasping for air.

Takuma: (Y/N)!

(Y/N) turned to her stomach and slowly picked herself up while still coughing.

(Y/N): *Thoughts* I-It felt like I was hit by a truck....What is that thing?!

Minoru: This is bad! Let's get out of here!

Takuma moved over to help (Y/N) up as everyone began to run away, the two quickly following after them. Though Aoi soon tripped and Takuma stopped concerned.

Takuma: You Okay, Aoi?!

The rock creature roared again and was quickly making it's way towards them.

Takuma: Stop! Stay away from her!!!

Takuma moved in front of Aoi and took another hit from the creature.

(Y/N): TAKUMA!!!

Takuma slowly stood up coughing again.

Takuma: I-I'm fine, only just a few scratches. Is everyone else okay?!

The fog only grew more and more intense and surrounded the whole group and soon they found themselves surrounded by more and more of those rock creatures. Them all roaring as the group looked around not knowing what to do now.

Takuma: W-We're surrounded...

Minoru: This is bad... It's getting closer and closer!

Soon the ground began to rumble.

(Y/N): Wha....What's going on....

Aoi: Huh? An earthquake, at a time like this?!

Minoru: Holy crap... The shaking is getting worse!

Takuma: Is everyone okay?!

Shuuji: Be careful, everyone! Move without paying attention and you'll- WAHHH!

Seconds later the ground collapsed underneath them all. All of the falling into the unknown.

???: Taku...

Takuma: *Thoughts* What's that sound...

???: Ma...

Takuma: *Thoughts* It sounds distant but.....Familiar.....

???: TAKUMA!!!

Takuma jolted away and quickly sat up looking around in shock.

Takuma: H-Huh?

???: T-Takuma...

Takuma looked over to the voice seeing that it was (Y/N).

Takuma: (Y/-

(Y/N) suddenly hugged him.

(Y/N): Don't you ever scare me like that again!

Takuma looked at her seeing that she was tearing up.

(Y/N): I-I thought you were....

Takuma hugs her back.

Takuma: I'm sorry (N/N), I didn't mean to scare you like that

(Y/N) pulled back while sniffing and wiping her eyes.

(Y/N): .....B-Baka.....

Takuma: Yeah.....I know I am

He then stood up and helped her up as well. He then looked around seeing that they were back where the red spider lilies were.

Takuma: Where are the others...

(Y/N): I don't know...I just woke up here with you unconscious next to me....

Takuma: That's not good, the others could be in danger....If we're currently back here.....Maybe they're back at the shrine!

(Y/N): M-Maybe

Takuma: Come (Y/N), let's go!

(Y/N) nods, with her picking up her pocketknife and they quickly head back to the shrine. They soon reach there and found that it was vacant not a single person in sight. They looked around a bit confused and concerned.

Takuma: Heyyy, Minoru! Aoi?!

(Y/N): Is anyone here?!

The siblings looked around more not seeing anyone.

(Y/N): No one's here....

Takuma: I'm sure we'll find them eventually (Y/N). Maybe we can try to call them...

Takuma pulled out his phone only to find there was no service.

Takuma: Ugh...

(Y/N): No service?

Takuma: None at all....Damn it....

Before the two could mull over what to do they soon heard rustling nearby.

(Y/N): Wh-What was that?!

She held up her knife in a defensive position with Takuma looking around as well.

Takuma: I don't know, stay with me (Y/N)

(Y/N) noticed that her phone vibrated again and she took it out seeing that the camera was open again.

(Y/N): ......

She looked into it soon seeing multiple glitches around.

(Y/N): What the...

She looked around with the camera and soon sees some rustling behind some bushes.

(Y/N): Over there!

They look to the bushes and see two small creatures poke their heads out looking at them before they suddenly ran away.

Takuma: What were those?

(Y/N): No clue....

The two continued to look around until they the creatures suddenly pop out the bushes next to them. Giving the two of them a clear view of the two. One being some type of pink blob and the other being a small bee like creature.

Takuma: Whoa! They're closer now!

(Y/N) points her knife at the two.

(Y/N): Who or what are you two!

Pink Blob: Hwhaaaaa?!

Bee: Waaaaaaah?!

Takuma: Wh-What are these things!?

Pink Blob: Hey, that's our line!

Bee: ....Wait you two are-!

(Y/N): They can talk?!

The two creatures then approached the siblings as they stepped back, (Y/N) was still pointing her knife at them.

(Y/N): Don't get any closer dang it!

Takuma: I've never seen anything like this before. What the heck are they?!

The two creatures looked at the siblings curiously.

Takuma: Seriously, what's these thing's deal?!

(Y/N): I don't know! This is making no sense at all!

Pink Blob: We're not "things"! I'm Koromon!

Bee: And I'm Puroromon! And we've been waiting for you two, our buddies!

(Y/N): Buddies? I ain't your buddy that's for sure! It's (Y/N)!

Takuma: And I'm Takuma! Just back off for a sec and let us think!

Koromon: Takuma....That's your name? Nice to meet ya Takuma!

Puroromon: And yours is (Y/N), great to meet you partner!

(Y/N): Partner?

Takuma: Gah! This is making no sense! And what do you two mean that you've been waiting for us?

Koromon: Yeah, for ages!

Puroromon: Like a really, really long time, buddies!

(Y/N): Why and how?

Koromon: Well that's easy! You see, uh.... Uhhh...

Puroromon: Um....oh......Uh.....

(Y/N): ......

Koromon looked to Puroromon.

Koromon: Hey, why WERE we waiting?!

Puroromon: I have no idea

(Y/N): *Mutters* These things are making no sense...

Takuma: *Mutters* Wouldn't call this a conversation either....They don't seem to mean any harm to us, so we should be fine

The siblings sighs.

Takuma: You both took the words right out of our mouths

(Y/N): Either way.....You two aren't human for sure.....We're humans, young ones too....

Koromon: Young....Humans? We've never seen any before

Puroromon: *Chuckles* You both are kind of weird looking~

(Y/N): *Glares a bit* You're one to talk...

Koromon: Still, we're glad we got to meet ya!

Puroromon: Yep! Yep! We've been craving something you see... We've been waiting forever and ever!

(Y/N): What the heck are you two talking about...

Puroromon: Anyway! You two are the ones for us!

Koromon: It's like we've been waiting for you two forever!

Takuma: What do you mean? Ugh, I don't get this at all...Just listen up, Koromon and Puroromon was it?

(Y/N): We're not some kids alright....

Puroromon: Hmm, alllllll right~ If you say so!~

(Y/N): Mmm....Ugh, I've had enough of this

She puts her knife away and turns running away.

Takuma: H-Hey (Y/N), wait up!

He quickly followed after her.

Koromon: Takuma!

Puroromon: (Y/N)! Wait!

The two quickly chased after the siblings. The two soon ran back into the clearing with the red spider lilies.

(Y/N): *Sighs* This whole place is so freaky. It's making no sense....

Takuma: Look like we lost those little critters too....

(Y/N) sighs again and sat down.

(Y/N): What were those things.....Reminds me of the things I've seen in my manga....

Takuma: Hey (Y/N), did you feel.....Scared at all around those things?

(Y/N): Now that you mention it....No....I wasn't

Takuma: Neither was I....This is making no sense at all....

The two soon heard rustling nearby and looking to it, they see the rock monster from before growling while approaching them.

(Y/N): It's that rock monster that attack us before!

It approached more as the fog around it cleared up giving them a clearer look at them.

Takuma: One was out here! Damn, it's too close we can't run!

The rock monster's eyes glowed and it goes to attack the two. Takuma seeing this jumped in front of (Y/N) and took the hit for her getting knocked back in the process.

(Y/N): Takuma!!!

Takuma: Agh! Th-That hurt. Damn, (Y-Y/N) g-get out of here!

(Y/N): No! I'm not leaving you behind Takuma!

She pulled out her pocket knife and glares at the rock monster. The rock monster glares and growls getting ready to charge at (Y/N). (Y/N) stood her ground getting ready for it to attack her.

Koromon: Run!

Puroromon: Get out of there!

Soon Koromon and Puroromon ran/flew out in front of the siblings. Getting in battle positions against the rock monster.

Takuma: Is that...Koromon?!

(Y/N): P-Puroromon?!

The two glare at the rock monster.

Koromon: This thing's got an ax to grind with you two!

Puroromon: We'll hold it off, you two get out of here!

Takuma: D-Dang my legs won't move...

(Y/N): Mmm...

Puroromon: Please! Hurry!

Koromon: We'll hold them off as long as we can!

The two go to attack the rock creature but was soon knocked back by the rock monster.

Koromon: Gwahhh!

Puroromon: Aghhhh!

(Y/N): Ugh! You tell us to run and yet you two can't even handle an attack like that!

Takuma: You two should be the ones running!

Koromon: W-We've got to protect you two....

Puroromon: We won't give up...

(Y/N): ....

The two got up and rushed back into battle, only for them to be knocked back again. Takuma and (Y/N) watched on as they kept getting back up, trying to protect the two of them.

Takuma: This is bad!

(Y/N): Mmm...These tiny things are risking their lives to protect us....

Takuma: ......We can't just run off and let these two die trying to protect us....

The two siblings growl and quickly got up running in front of Koromon and Puroromon, going to protect them.

Takuma: We won't let you!

(Y/N): You won't lay another finger on them!

Puroromon: What are you doing! Don't act like the hero!

Koromon: Yeah, that's not a good Idea!

Takuma: Just get out of here you two!

(Y/N): You think we'd just let you two die, trying to protect us!

Puroromon: Well, we're not letting you die either!

Koromon: Yeah! We're not going to leave you behind!

(Y/N) looked back at the two with her usual calm face.

(Y/N): Looks like we're all on the same page then

Puroromon: ......

Takuma: Well....You ready for a fight (Y/N)....

(Y/N): As ready as I'll every be...

Koromon: W-Woah, seeing them so determined! I'm starting to feel like I can do it!

Puroromon: Y-Yeah! I'm feeling a surge of energy through me as well!

The two suddenly began to glow.

Koromon: We're going for it, Takuma!

Puroromon: Yeah! Watch us go (Y/N)!

They both look back at the two little creatures surprised.

Takuma: H-Huh? What're you two saying?!

(Y/N): W-Why're you two glowing?!

Koromon: Just watch us go!

Puroromon: We said we'd protect you two and we mean it!

They began to glow brighter and brighter.

Koromon: Koromon Shinka!

Puroromon: Puroromon Shinka!

They then unleashed a bright flash of light and power and began to transform and when they finished transforming, in their places was two new creatures. In Koromon's place was a child sized light yellow dinosaur.

Koromon: Agumon!

And in Puroromon's place was what looked to be a child human girl with insect  wings wielding a lance.

Puroromon?: Tinkermon!

The siblings looked on in shock as the two then rushed into pass them into battle. The rock monster roared at them and then fired multiple rocks at the two with them dodging and weaving out of the way of the attack. Agumon dashed forward and hit the rock monster with a claw slash across it's face causing it to stumble back. Tinkermon then coming in and hitting it with an axe kick to it's head. Then backflipping away from it as it tried to attack them. Agumon came in again and hit the rock monster with a barrage of claw slashes.

(Y/N): They're stronger than before....And being able to handle that creature no sweat now....

Takuma: No kidding, this is so confusing....But at least they're on our side

Agumon knocked back the rock monster with a one more claw slash as it roared and was about to fire out another rock at Agumon. But before it could it felt a weight on it's head. Soon seeing that it was Tinkermon on his head doing a one-handed hand stand on their head. She gave a mischievious grin and came down slamming both her knees into the rock monsters face, causing it to roar in pain. They then came back up and spun around then landing behind the rock monster. Then grappling it, choking it out with their lance.

Tinkermon: Hit 'em hard!

Agumon: Pepper Breath!

Agumon then fired out a small fireball at the rock monster that Tinkermon was holding in place. Tinkermon grinned at this and removed their lance from the rock monsters throat and kicked them forward into the fireball. Then jumping up and out of the way. The rock monster roared in pain as the fireball hit it, sending it flying back into a tree. It twitched a bit before it faded away in a blue light. Tinkermon landed next to Agumon and laughed out loud before flipping the bird at where the rock monster was.

Tinkermon: Take that you stupid punk!

Agumon cheered at their victory and laughed.

Takuma: They beat that monster so easily

(Y/N): No kidding....What are they.....Transforming like that.....and becoming stronger too.....*Thoughts* God this is sounded so much like my manga

Agumon: Whew! We were able to win thanks to you two!

Tinkermon: Yeah! Thanks for the help buddies!

Takuma: Heh, you were a beast out there, Koromon!

(Y/N): You were pretty good too Puroromon....We thought you both were pretty insane for fighting that thing but, looks like you proved us wrong

Agumon: I'm not Koromon anymore silly! Right now I'm Agumon!

Tinkermon: And I'm Tinkermon now! So best remember it!~

(Y/N): Hmm....Looks like this change of forms, came with a name change too...

Takuma: Looks like it...I still kind of don't get it but anyway....You both really saved our bacon back there. We owe you both one....

Agumon: Heh heh, that goes double for us, Takuma!

Tinkermon: Yeah, I'll give ya some praise for helping us evolve. If it wasn't for that we'd be toast

(Y/N): We didn't even do anything though....

Agumon: That's not true! We can't explain it...

Tinkermon: But when we're with you guys, we feel power filling us completely. So much power in fact that we feel like we can do anything. Thanks, a lot!

The siblings look at the two still having a hard time understanding what was going on, but they decided not to question it for now.

Takuma: Either way, everyone is going to freak out when they see them...

(Y/N): *Eyes widen* Shoot, we still have to find the others!

Tinkermon: *Raises an eyebrow* The others?

Takuma: That's right, we still have to go look for them!

Agumon: Others? Who's that?

Takuma: Oh, we mean our friends. A weird chain of events brought us to this shrine, see....

(Y/N): We managed to find our friends but a landslide separated us again....

Agumon: Is that right!

Tinkermon: Hmm, talk about bad luck there...

(Y/N) and Takuma looked to each other.

Takuma: If they're not around here, then maybe they're back at the school

(Y/N): Good thinking, but first we gotta make it back to the school in one piece...Plus we got no idea where we are in these woods.....And the fog isn't doing us any favors either.....

Tinkermon: What're you idiots thinking?! 

Agumon: Yeah! Don't go into the fog!

(Y/N): *Thoughts* Did the fog get....Thicker?

Takuma: Trust us, we're not going because we want to. Even without it we'd have trouble figuring out where we were. If we're attacked by that weird thing again it won't end well for us

(Y/N): It's hard to tell how likely another attack would be....what were those rock monster things anyway....*Thoughts* Could it have been those Kemonogami that we were talking about before....

Tinkermon: Heh, well they definitely weren't friends of ours

Agumon: Yeah, we'd never be friends with someone who just bum rushes you like that! For one we wouldn't attack kids like they do!

(Y/N): They? Are there more than just those rock things out there...

Agumon: Yeah tons and tons!

Tinkermon: Like a lot of em! Big ones, tough ones, ones that fly! Fast ones, fuzzy ones, you name it and there it is!

Agumon: Of course, there are good ones and bad ones out there, too!

Takuma: Tons and tons, you say? I feel a headache coming on...

(Y/N): You too...? *Thoughts* This world full of bizarre creatures.....Maybe something happened back at the shrine to the Kemonogami? Like we accidentally broke some sort of seal on the place or something....That Miu girl.....She was talking about some type of retribution......Could this be what she meant....

(Y/N) shakes her head and sighs.

(Y/N): I'm starting to think that fall did something to our head....

Tinkermon: Hmm? Something wrong?

Takuma: We're, wondering what we should do....This place shouldn't be to far from the shrine.....I doubt that rock monster went and beat up everyone in our group back there.....One of our friends might still be around here

Agumon: "Monster" isn't right. That rock guy, for example, he's Gotsumon!

Tinkermon: Annoying buggers too....

(Y/N): So, you all have names too. Alright then....Mmm.....

Takuma: I think we should head back to the school for now. We'll look for the others along the way. Would you mind helping us you two?

Agumon: Yeah! I'm with you, Takuma!

Tinkermon: Someone's gotta protect you two so yeah!

(Y/N): Glad to hear...Let's go

They soon hear a scream coming from nearby.

(Y/N): Screaming....And it was nearby!

Agumon: Yeah! It sounded like a human! I heard it coming from over there!

Tinkermon: Maybe it's one of your guys friends?

Takuma: That voice....I swear it sounded like Minoru. Over by the shrine! Okay, let's go!

(Y/N): Right!

Agumon: Yeah!

Tinkermon: Okay then!

The four quickly made their way to the screaming. Cutting over we soon see Minoru stopping, panting heavily.

Minoru: Oh man... Oh man, oh man, oh man! Are you serious?! Why the hell is that rock monster chasing ME?!

Aoi soon ran up behind Minoru panting even harder than he was.

Aoi: Wait Minoru! I.....can't breathe...

Minoru: Aoi!

Aoi: I, I can't even run anymore

Minoru: That thing's not gonna let up! We're in trouble if it catches us! We have to run and fast!

Minoru grabs her arm while looking at her even more concerned than before.

Minoru: You saw what it could do, didn't you?! We won't get off easy if that thing catches us!

Aoi: B-But, I can't move... *huff* *puff* We should....Hide somewhere, and wait for help...

Minoru: Hide where? The only place around here is that shrine, where the rock monster is...

Minoru then got an idea.

Minoru: Ah, the small shrine! We could hide in there! Come on, Aoi, get a move on!

Aoi: *Pants* Um, all right...

They soon heard stopping and a roar near them.

Aoi: Eek!

The sound grew closer to them as it was quickly approaching their location.

Minoru: Crap! That sound...

A Gotsumon was slowly approaching them, their eyes glowing brightly. Minoru and Aoi stepping back in shock.

Minoru: Yaaaugh! It's heeere!

Aoi: Ah, ahhh....

Minoru glared at it and got into position to fight the Gotsumon.

Minoru: Da....Dammit, let's go. Bring it!

He stepped up to the Gotsumon as Aoi looked at him concerned.

Minoru?! What're you doing?!

Minoru: *Looks back at her* I'll deal with this jerk somehow, so you get going...

Aoi: No, It's too dangerous!

Minoru: Who knows, maybe I can handle this g-guy on my own...I'll b-be a hero...

Aoi: Nooo! Don't do it!!!

As she yelled this suddenly a child sized bird creature ran out of the bushes and got in between Minoru and Gotsumon, glaring at the rock creature.

Bird: Stop right there!

And soon following them was a small dog creature.

Dog: Stay away from those kids!

Aoi: Huh?

Minoru: Ack! There's more of them, now?!

Bird: We shan't allow further wrongdoing from you lout!

Dog: I'll protect you for sure!

Bird: Fret not, for you two are now safe-

Minoru began to tear up not knowing what to do or think anymore.

Minoru: I CAN'T EVEN WITH ALL THESE!!!

He then ran off not being able to take all of this currently.

Aoi: Wh, where are you going, Minoru?! Don't run off on your own!

Back with Takuma, (Y/N), Agumon and Tinkermon. They soon arrived back at the shrine only to see no one was there.

Takuma: *Huff*... *huff* ... Huh...no one's here?

(Y/N): Dang it....Minoru probably ran off before we got here....

They soon then heard Minoru's screams nearby shocking them.

Takuma: That voice...it's definitely Minoru! But where the heck is he?!

Minoru: Noooo, Stay away! Why'd it have to be that thing again?!

(Y/N): Dang it! Minoru answer us! Where are you!

Agumon: Takuma! I can sense Gotsumon nearby!

Tinkermon: Yeah! It's coming from...

They point their lance off in the direction of the smaller shrine.

Tinkermon: That way!

(Y/N): Near the shrine....Okay, no time to waste! Let's hurry!

Tinkermon: Hold it! There's a bunch of Gotsumon over there!

Agumon: Yeah, it won't be smart to run in like that!

Takuma: What?! Dammit...Even so, we can't leave Minoru to fend for himself! Let's go!

Agumon: Got it, Takuma! Leave it to me!

Tinkermon: Stubborn, but either way I'll help too!

(Y/N): What're we waiting for! Let's go!

Over by the smaller shrine, we see Minoru with his back up against the wall multiple Gotsumon surrounding him.

Minoru: Shoo! Back off, dang it!

The four others soon making it there as well.

Takuma: Look...Over there! Minoru's being attacked by Gotsumon!

Agumon: What should we do?!

(Y/N): We have to help him of course!

Tinkermon: Yeah, let's kick Gotsumon butt!

Takuma: We're not leaving our friend to fight those things alone! It's too dangerous to tackle something that stony thing head-on

Agumon: Let's look for the right time to...

Tinkermon: Another on just showed up!

After saying this the bird creature from before made their appearance slashing the Gotsumon across the face.

Minoru: Ah, you're...!

Bird: *Looks back at him* Are you okay, Minoru?!

Takuma: That one....Saved him?

Tinkermon: That's Falcomon! Don't worry he's one of the good ones!

Falcomon looks to Minoru while the Gotsumon was recovering.

Falcomon: Now do you believe me? I told you I wasn't your foe

Minoru: Nnngh... All right, all right, I'm sorry for doubting you! Just help me out, please!

Falcomon: Understood! If you want my help, then my help is what you shall have!

Takuma: I see, that on definitely looks like it's on our side!

(Y/N): Yeah, thank god....If he hadn't then he would have been toast

Tinkermon: Told ya Falcomon was a good guy!~

Agumon: But in a situation like this....He's outnumbered by Gotsumon

Tinkermon: Let's go help him then!

Takuma: Yeah, we can't just stand her and watch. Please, go help him!

(Y/N): *Nods*

Agumon and Tinkermon  nod and rush in to help Falcomon. Falcomon defended against one of the Gotsumon's attacks while grunting a bit. Agumon soon arrived and jumped up firing a pepper breath at the Gotsumon knocking them back into a rock as it slump over and dissolve in a blue light. Falcomon looked at Agumon.

Falcomon: Agumon!

Agumon: We're here to help Falcomon!

The other Gotsumon rushed at the two but before it could reach them, Tinkermon came down and hit them with a kick to it's head, causing it to stumble back a bit.

Tinkermon: Talk later! Fight now!

The two nod and rush in as well.

Falcomon: Scratch Smash!!

Falcomon's claws glowed as he and along with Agumon slashed the Gotsumon multiple times knocking it back greatly. The Gotsumon roars and fired it's rock fist attack at the two, with them getting hit by it but they were fine. Tinkermon then came in with a grin and kicked the Gotsumon in the side of the head hard knocking it back even more. She lands on the ground and gave a mischievous giggle as the tip of her lance began to glow purple. With her then rushing at the Gotsumon.

Tinkermon: Speed Nightmare!!

Tinkermon then stabbed the Gotsumon in the chest, with is spasming around a bit before going limp and faded away in a blue light. Tinkermon stands triumphantly, with a hand on her hip and her lance on her side. Minoru sighed and looked to Takuma and (Y/N).

Minoru: Oh, man, you really saved my bacon, you two...

Minoru then motioned to Falcomon.

Minoru: This guy just showed up, so I freaked out and booked it. Then that Mini-Golem showed up...

Falcomon: I tried to warn you about the Gotsumon, but you ran from me instead!

Minoru scratches his cheek a bit embarrassed.

Minoru: C'mon man, I already said it was my bad!

Takuma: Wow, Minoru's already getting along so well with him...

(Y/N): That's how Minoru is....He always is someone who just goes with it no matter what it is....

Agumon: We became buds in no time, too! Right, Takuma?

Takuma: I wouldn't call it "no time"...

Tinkermon slung her arm over (Y/N)'s shoulders.

Tinkermon: Hey, I'd at least call me and you buds right?~

(Y/N): Sure...

Tinkermon chuckled at that.

Minoru: Okay, real talk. What the heck are these things?!

Takuma: That's what I want to know! They're on our side, though, that much is for sure

Agumon: Yeah! On your side!

(Y/N): You saw it yourself....They did protect us....

Minoru: Well yeah, I sure did!

Falcomon: I believe I spoke to that several times already...

Minoru sighs a bit and looks down.

Takuma: All I know is that we're being attacked by these strange creatures in this weird forest. Heck, I'm just relieved to find anyone else! Come on, let's look for Aoi and the others

Minoru looked a bit concerned after Takuma had said that.

Minoru: Yeah...

Takuma: Hmm? Is something wrong Minoru?

(Y/N): What did you do...?

Minoru: Uh...Well, it's just....I was with Aoi before, but then Falcomon spooked me and I just...I took off at full speed...and left Aoi behind...

(Y/N): You left her behind?! You....You....Idiot!!!

Minoru: I-I'm sorry! I just freaked out!

Takuma: This is bad. Which way is she? There must be other monsters out there besides Gotsumon

Falcomon: Not many, but I do sense a number of them

Takuma: We have to look for her, and now!

(Y/N): She's not around here....So, we should look somewhere else for her

Agumon: Let's go!

???: Taaaakumaaaa! Minoooruuu! (YYYY/NNNN)!

Takuma: Oh! That voice!

Looking over to the direction of the voice, they soon see that the voice belonged to who they were looking for. Aoi ran up to them.

Aoi: Oh, thank goodness... There you are, Minoru. And Takuma and (Y/N) too!

Minoru: Aoi! It's you!

(Y/N): Glad to see that you're still in one piece...

Falcomon: It would seem we've found who we were looking for

Agumon: Yeah yeah, all right!

Tinkermon: Not too hard at all!

Aoi: *Sighs* Ooo, where did you run off to Minoru?! I was worried sick about you!

Minoru: Yeah, uh, about that... I'm like, real sorry, okay? I won't look so lame in front of you again! I'll run in all heroic and save the day!

(Y/N): Don't hurt yourself trying...

???: Sorry isn't going to cut it! How dare you run off and leave a lady behind like that?!

Looking to the voice they see the dog creature from before glaring at Minoru.

Dog: Don't think you'll get off that easily!

Minoru jumped a bit surprised.

Minoru: Yow! What's with this furry little squirt?!

Takuma: Another one of them?! Wait, this one seems...

(Y/N): This one seems to be friendly like the others...

Falcomon: That you are correct about...

Aoi: Oh, don't worry. This one nothing to fear

Minoru: You sure? It looks just about ready to take a chunk out of my butt!

Dog: Who'd bite a stinky rear end like that?!

Aoi leans down and pets them.

Aoi: This sweet little puppy saved me when one of those things was getting ready to pounce

Dog: Yeah, I'm gonna protect Aoi!

Minoru: That thing's more of a monster than a mutt. You ever see a talking dog? Seems like something you should at least be a little curious about Aoi...

Tinkermon: Don't worry about Labramon! Me and her have been girl pals forever!

Aoi: Yeek! Is.... Is that a fairy?! And a baby dinosaur?!

Tinkermon: I'm Tinkermon!~ Hello~

Agumon: And I'm Agumon! Nice to meet you Aoi!

Falcomon: And I am Falcomon. Pleased to make your acquaintance

Aoi: Nice to meet you...

She then looked to Labramon.

Aoi: And your name is "Labramon," Right?

Labramon: Yeah, that's right, Aoi! Good to meet you all!

(Y/N): Well, now that we're all met up. We should work on making our way back to the school...Maybe we'll meet the others on the way there...

Takuma: Yeah, you're right (Y/N).....Hey Agumon, and you, Falcomon. Do you know this area well?

Agumon: We sure do!

Falcomon: Ask anything you'd like to know

Takuma: Hod do we get back to the school building?

Agumon: "Skewl" Building?

(Y/N): It's like a two-story building made of wood... Humans spend time there

Tinkermon: Yeah! Think we've seen something like that!

Takuma: Really?!

Agumon: Yeah! It's got a big ol' wooden building and a wideopen space!

Takuma: The schoolyard! That's gotta be it! Where did you see it?

Agumon: Um...Where was it again?

Tinkermon looked at Agumon with a small sigh.

Tinkermon: I'll show you, I remember where it is!~

(Y/N): Well....Show the way then Tinkermon....

Tinkermon nods and flew off with the others quickly following after her. Many hours later had the group soon reached the school with the sun just starting to set.

Takuma: Great, we made it back before sunset!

Agumon: This is your uh, "skewl," Takuma?

Takuma: Not exactly. I go to a different school. This is just the one we're staying in for camp. Still, I guess a school is a school...

Agumon: But what IS a "skewl," Takuma?

Takuma: Well you see...

(Y/N) walked up at the school quietly.

(Y/N): *Mutters* It looks all rundown...

Tinkermon: Something wrong?

(Y/N) looked over to Tinkermon.

(Y/N): Nothing is right here.....It all is wrong.....The building is all rundown  and dilapidated.....Nature over taking it once again 

Tinkermon: So, what it's supposed to look better then this?

(Y/N): Yes.....It's almost like we've been thrown ahead in time....

Tinkermon: Well....That's.....odd

(Y/N): No kidding....

She sighs a bit.

(Y/N): None of this is making any sense at all...

Takuma: Hey! (Y/N)!

(Y/N) looked to the voice of her brother.

Takuma: Come on! We're heading inside!

(Y/N) nods and a looks to Tinkermon.

(Y/N): Let's go...

Tinkermon: Right behind you gal pal!~

(Y/N) nods and they quickly follow after the others heading into the building. And with that the camera fades to black.
