Chapter Two

The news of a missing boy from our town spread like wildfire. The thing is, no one even knew who he even was. I mean, no one. And we're a small community where everybody knows everybody.
But even stranger was the face that there were rumors going around the town that someone was going around and killing people. Well, they were planning too at least.
"Hello." A tiny voice nearly made me jump five feet in the air. I turned around and saw a little girl and boy staring at me. The boy had golden eyes, which was quite strange.
"What are you kids doing out this late?" I asked.
"We could ask the same thing about you." The girl said.
"I'm heading home." I told them. "I was out with one of my friends and I'm just walking home."
"You don't seem like the type of person that has friends." The boy said.
That hurt. It really did. And it was coming from little kids. Why should I care? And why do I even care in the first place?
"Well, I do." I replied kindly. "Now, I gotta get home before my parents start to wonder where I am."
"Will you play a quick game with us?" The girl begged, giving me puppy-dog eyes.
"I told you, I have to get home." I said, starting to walk in the direction of my house. "Maybe I'll play with you some other time."
Suddenly, I heard a growl from behind me. I turned around and saw a wolf with golden eyes staring at me.
"W-where did you come from?" I asked the wolf, my voice shaking.
"That's my boyfriend Aiden." The girl said. "He's a shapeshifter. And he's gonna do horrible things to you if you don't play our game."
I swallowed. There was no getting out of this "game" now.
"I-I'll play your game." I said.
The girl smiled and the wolf turned back into Aiden, as the girl referred him to as.
"Good." She said, holding out her hand. "Now, come with us."
I nervously grabbed her hand and she lead me somewhere, holding Aiden's hand as well.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Back to my house." She said. "That's where you play the game."
"Can you tell me what you do in this little game of yours?" I asked.
"Well, there's monsters that come after you." Aiden said. "But you don't have any weapons. And you're stuck in a room with two hallways leading into the room. Your only weapon is a flashlight. Also, the doors are also used as weapons because you have to listen for the monsters' breathing."
"What happens if the monsters get me?" I asked. "What do they do to me?"
"Game over." The girl simply said.
I felt a chill run down my spine.

*****
They took me to a room. It looked like a child's room, with toys near the closet and little stuffed animals scattered all over the room.
"Have fun." The girl said from right outside the doorway.
"Don't let the monsters get you." The boy snickered. They both disappeared and tossed a flashlight in the room.
"You'll need it as your weapon!" The girl called.
Confused, I went over to the flashlight and picked it up. I pushed the button to turn it on. I didn't have much time to react before I felt a presence behind me. I looked and saw something. I didn't get to get a good look at it because it disappeared almost as soon as the flashlight's beam hit it.

I then heard a sound coming from the left door. I ran over to it and heard breathing. Not wanting to shine the flashlight down the hall to figure out the source of the breathing, I closed the door and waited until the breathing ceased. I could feel my heart pounding so fast in my chest that it was a wonder it hadn't burst out of my chest.
"What kind of twisted game is this?" I asked as I ran towards the right door. The breathing was back and I still didn't want to know who or what was the source of it. I slammed the door so hard that I thought that I broke the door. I breathed fast while my heart continued to pound. Tears started to form in my eyes but I refused to let them fall. They wouldn't win. I couldn't let them win.

*****

Tears ran down my face as I fought for my life. Their breathing at the door taunted me, the Freddy demons behind me terrified me.
This game was horrible.
"Please!" I called out to wherever these sick and twisted kids were. "Just stop this already! I've had enough!"
Suddenly, I felt something sharp pierce through my shoulder. I turned my head, trying not to scream from the pain, and saw the nightmarish face of Freddy Fazbear.
He removed his single claw from my shoulder and just stared at me. Those cold, dead, and lifeless eyes made my heart pound in my chest and more tears stream down my face.
I wanted to run but I couldn't.
I wanted to scream but I couldn't.
He then ran his single claw, the same claw that stabbed me in the shoulder, down my arm. It created a log scratch in the process and more blood gushed out. I felt weak. Suddenly, my knees get heavy and I fell to the ground. He continued to stare at me with those damn eyes. I swear, I just wanted to rip them out do their sockets. He got down to my level, still not making a sound and still staring at me.

It happened so fast. The next thing I knew, he clawed my ear clean off. He forced me to look at it, which made me cry even more. He then sliced my other ear off. I swear that I saw his twisted jaw curve into a smile. I swear.
It was the end of me just then.
Game over Ruby. Game over.
