Ding dong! I hear the doorbell ring. I sit up from the couch I've been sleeping on. I stumbled walking to the front door. I opened.

"Hello?" I answered.

A doctor and a quarantine inspector was there.

Are you Owinna Anderson?" The doctor asks.

"Yes, I am." I replied.

It's been three months since I came to this quarantine. Sasha had a baby boy named Lucas. I let him have my bedroom and sleep on the couch. Sasha's bedroom is right next to mine.

"How many bites do you have?" The doctor asks.

I lift up both of my sleeves and part of my right leg. There it is, the bites started to heal. Red and blisters on top of the teeth impacts from the zombies.

"She is immune to those bites, she can possibly be the cure." The doctor whispers to the inspector.

"Owinna, can you please come with us." The inspector says.

"Okay," I nodded. I followed them out of my home. We walk among the stone path of the quarantine. I can see the left over puddles from the rain yesterday.

They opened the double doors of the hospital. As usual, we have to check in from the front desk.

"Owinna Anderson, Cure Inspection." Doctor says to the nurse of the front desk. She presses the button along side the desk. The double doors opened up automatically. The doctor, inspector, and I walk through the door. They lead me to a hospital room.

"Here," The doctor toss me a hospital dress. "Put this on." He told me and shut the door leaving the hospital room all by myself.

I sigh. I took off my pants and shirt leaving my underpants and bra on. I put the dress on that smells like pomrade. I lay down onto my hospital bed waiting for the doctor go return.

"Where's Owinna?" Macey sees that I wasn't on the couch.

"She's gone?" Sasha says while carrying her child, Lucas.

"Where did she go?" Macey asks.

"I saw some doctors taking Owinna away to the hospital." Elissa explains.

"Why is she be taken from there?" Boron asks.

"Possibly for the cure." Elissa replies.

Boron gasps. "Taking the immunity and the infection out of her can possibly kill her." He says.

Sasha sighs. "I'll take her place." She says.

"You're not immune to the infection." Macey denies.

Sasha gives her child to Boron and lifts up her jeans. They see dry blood and blisters upon the infected teeth holes. She was bitten three times on one leg, two times on the other.

"I thought I was going to turn into one of the decomposing monsters that's more terrifying than the average zombie. It turns out I didn't turn. I fight. I was immune to the infection." Sasha explains. "I want me to be killed and everyone saved instead of using a young girl who didn't know the real world yet. I know what happened before the infection was out."

"Sasha, your child?" Boron asks.

"Take care of him, Boron." She says.

Sasha ran out of the house to ran as fast as she could to the hospital.

"What she we do?" Boron asks. "We can't go after her."

"Let her choose that decision, she's responsible for it, and I observe the techniques she helped raising Lucas. It's going to be more work, but be worth it." Elissa replies.

A doctor walked in with a vaccination. My eyes widen.

"This is just to put you to sleep," he explains. "We are going for an operation for the cure of the infection." The doctor explains.

He made me sit up. He needled the shot straight into my spine. He told me to lay down.

Minutes, my vision became groggy. My body was numbed off. Soon, my mind swim black.

"Take her to the surgery room." Doctor says to the nurse. "Then we can get the operation started."

The nurse pushes the bed out of the hospital room. She started to take me on my hospital bed into the operation room.

"Wait!" Sasha yells to the nurse and doctor. "Don't operated on that little girl!"

The nurse and doctor stopped and turned around to see Sasha.

Sasha lifts up her legs exposing the five bites. "I am immune, take me instead. She only has three bites. I have five bites. Don't take her," Sasha pleads.

The doctor groans silently. "Put Owinna back into her room." He commands the nurse. The nurse began to drag my bed back into my hospital room.

"Wait until the drugs we vaccinated disappate." Nurse says to herself and walks out of the bedroom shutting the lights off.

My eyes slowly opened and my eyes adjust around the room. I was confuse where I was at until I figured out I was in the hospital room.

"Is it done already or I am dead?" I asked myself. I sit up. I got off from the bed and moved closely to the door.

I opened it. My eyes strained to see light of the hospital hallway. It fade after a second of adjusting. A nurse walks by.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"They instead took the older woman instead of you for the cure." The nurse explains.

"Who?" I asked.

The nurse didn't answer. Next, a woman popped into my mind. Sasha!

"Take me to Sasha." I commanded.

She opens the door of the operation room. Sasha was laying in a open body bag.

"Sasha!" I cried and I ran to her dead body. "No!"

My mind started to irratic. I wanted to bash and kill those doctors, but I fight off the urge. I started to deep breath. I slide my back down against the operation table.

I hugged my knees. I started to ball. I buried my head down onto my knees. Then I put my head up.

"Sasha, why did you take my place?" I cried. I cried out gasp. "Why? I don't want to live in this place anymore?" I buried my head against my knees again as I cried.
