Love it or hate it, Survival of the Fittest is back for the new year with brand new prompts and a new storyline.

The prompt contest is one of the most fun activities Shut Up and Write has ever done. Full of strange and unusual prompts this contest will test your strengths and creativity as a writer. Your original existing character will be put to the test as well. Are they strong enough to survive our challenges? Do you think they have what it takes to be crowned the King or Queen of Survival of the Fittest?

For this activity you'll be given a prompt to use to write a short story in which an original character from one of your books will feature. They will be challenged to complete each event to pass to the next round.

Each round will be an elimination round, meaning at least one character (and writer) will be eliminated at each round until we have an overall winner.

Your Character
For this you will need to sign up with your existing and original character. This means they will need to be someone you've already written about, however they must be someone you've created yourself. So a main (or any) character of your creation that exists in one of your stories.

For this activity we ask that all characters are fictional and are not IRL celebrities or fan fiction characters. We're testing your characters, not Harry Potter or one of BTS!

You, The Writer
We ask that you, the writer, have access to discord. This is non negotiable as we ask our members to submit their written submissions via a discord channel. It's easier for both judges and for members if everything is on Discord.
