Three years later

"I can't believe we already graduated. Finally good to out of that prison." I said in relief on the rooftops of the houses behind Wall Rose.

"Couldn't said it better myself." Sayuri replied with a smile on her. We were still in our training uniforms as we were still cadets and not soldiers of a military unit, but we were going to start to apply for the Survey Corps in 10 days. As we looked down, people were minding their own business in the streets.

"Tsubaki" Sayuri said quietly.

"Yeah?"

"How are we going to get home?"

I stayed quiet for a few moments before replying, "I don't know, but we will have to survive like we been doing for the past eight years."

"I know but it's starting to get hard to remember what happened next." Sayuri said

"I know, but-" I started to say until a thunderclap with the shake of the ground startled us. I widen my eyes and Sayuri gasp as I turned towards the top of Wall Rose. 'No, It's happening again' I thought fearfully as the familiar face of the Colossal Titan appeared. we could only watched as the Titan destroyed the cannons on top of the wall and putting the hole in the wall before disappearing. We both stared on as Titans started to slowly enter.

"Cadets!" a voice said from behind us. We both turned around to a Garrison soldier that held the symbol of the two roses heading towards us.

"Both of you need to head back to Headquarters, immediately." he commanded us.

Sayuri looked hesitant before saluting to him, "Yes, sir." He turned to me as I stared onto the invading titans. 'He wants us to turn our back on them when we could us this chances to fed off the titans. What a bunch of cow-' I started to think before the Garrison soldier broke my train of thought.

"Cadet?" he said seriously.

I looked back at him with a clench first before as saluting, " Yes, sir." I said with gritted teeth. He nodded at me before taking off with his 3d maneuver gear to the top of Wall Rose. I looked back to Titans before looking to Sayuri.

"Let's go." I said before taking of back to Headquarters. Sayuri followed silently. 'I can't believe this happened again! Right when humanity forgot about the fall of Wall Maria.' I thought as I easily ran on the rooftops with Sayuri beside me.

"Sayuri." I called out to her.

"Yeah?"

"Do you remember what happened when Trost was breach?"

After a moment she responded, "No, it's all blurry."

'I guess we have to fight without knowing what happens then.' I thought as we reached Headquarters. As we both went in the courtyard, people were freaking out. Some was crying, running around, and others were saying that 'they were going to die.' Met eyes met the sight of a boy vomiting in the corner with a girl rubbing his back. 'That's disgusting. I mean I get it that he's scared, but is it necessary for him to throw up? Seriously' I thought as a look of disgust cross my face before looking back around for Sayuri, who was at the refill tank station. I started to make my way to her until a Garrison officer stopped me.

"Yukimura, you and Koizumi are to be with the East Squad to slow down the Titans for the citizens to escape." he said to me.

I nodded at him before moving around to walk towards the now standing Sayuri, who was just finishing filling up her gas tank.

She looked up at me, 'What was that about? I saw you talking with the Garrison officer."

"We're being place in the East Squad to make time for the citizens to escape."

She nodded before looking at me in concern, "Don't you need to fill up your tank?"

I shook my head. "It's still fill since I didn't use any all this time." She nodded in understandment before walking to back towards the entrance with me.

As we reached the rooftops with 5 other cadets, they started to launch off with their swords in their hands while killing Titans by cutting the nape of their neck. When it was just me and Sayuri on the rooftops, we turned to each other.

"See you in a little bit." I said to her with a slight smile on my face.

"Same to you, Tsubaki." she said back with a grin before we went our separate ways, but still close by each other.

I flew through the air swiftly as I dodge a Titan's hand. Attaching wires to it's shoulder, I pressed the right trigger, activating the gase as the boost as I flew pass it's face until I was behind it's back and above it's neck in mid air. I spin in a circle with my swords as I came down on it's neck, slicing the nape of it and killing it before pushing off it's neck and landing graceful on rooftop behind it. 'That was easier then I thought, but I need to be careful on the amount of gas I use.' I thought as my gaze shifted between the dead Titan and my 3d maneuver gear that contain my gas tank.

"HEY! UGH! LET ME GO!" a familiar voice cried out from a few feet behind me. I turned around to Sayuri with bruises about to be dropped into a mouth of a Titan. My eyes widen before narrowing in determination. I started to run across the rooftops towards her while using the 3d maneuver gear to go faster. 'Sayuri, I'm not going to let you die!' I thought as I was almost there.

"AH!" she yelled out as the Titan dropped her in it's mouth.

"SAYURI!" I yelled out. As I reached on the rooftop in front of the Titan, I use my 3d maneuver gear to go into the air and into the mouth. As I landed onto it's tongue, I saw Sayuri struggling to hold on as she started to fall down it's throat. Right when she lost her grip, I grabbed a hold of her hand as I stabbed the Titan's tongue to hold us in place, making it moan in pain. 'This is so disgusting. I can't believe I'm in here.' I thought As I struggled to hold Sayuri up. I felt pain shoot up my left arm that was holding onto the sword. I looked down and saw my arm bleeding. 'I wonder how I got that? I guess I didn't felt it until now as the adrenaline finally wore off. ' I thought to myself. I looked back down at Sayuri as she looked up at me.

"Tsubaki!" Sayuri said as her voice is laced with shock and relief.

"Sayuri." I said seriously. She looked up at me in confusion.

"You need to live. I know I won't be able to hold both of us anymore longer." I said as I closed my eyes in pain from my left arm.

"W-what are you talking about? We're both going to make it!" She shouted at me as slightly stuttered. 'Not me, not for long.' I thought as I looked back at her. As I pushed my sword more down on the Titan's tongue, making it open it's mouth. WIth as much strength I could muster, I threw Sayuri out, making her land on the roof. She immediately sat up and looked in my direction as I stayed in the Titan's mouth.

"Sayuri, it was great knowing you and having so many memories with you. I'm glad to call you my friend-no, my sister." I said with a sad smile as I reached my arm out to her, my hand reaching outside the Titan's mouth.

"No!" Sayuri yelled out with tears in her eyes as she rushed to grab my hand. As her hand barely grazed mine, I gave a teary smile, ":Goodbye" I whispered before the Titan closed it's mouth and ripping off my hand.

"NO!" Sayuri yelled out in sadness, that was clearly heard as I was swallowed down into the Titan's throat. I closed my eyes, 'Good to see you face one last time, Sayuri' My thought trailed off as darkness filled my vision.

As my consciousness slowly started to wake up I felt soft fabric, 'I'm not dead?' I thought as my eyes fluttered open. When I opened my eyes fully, I was met with my face in carpet. 'Wait, I know this fabric.' I thought as I quickly got up. As I looked around, I realized that I was back home in my living of my house. Everything was still how we left it when we first was brought into the Attack on Titan world. The blanket tent on the couch and snacks and trash was scattered on the living room table. I looked down on myself to see I was still in my training uniform. 'Everything was real. I wondered how long we were go for?' I thought as looked towards the clock that told the time and the date as it read '10:47 pm April 21, 2014' I looked on to the clock in shock. 'A year? Only a year had passed?' I thought I looked up towards the mess around.

"TSUBAKI!" a faint voice yelled out in sadness from behind me. I turned around to see the TV on with the scene of Sayuri crying on the rooftops while yelling out my name.

"Sayuri!" I said as I crouched down in front of the TV. As my hands barely touch the screen, it turned black. I looked down on the ground as I scolded myself 'I'm such an idiot! How could I have left her alone. I need to get back' I looked back up in determination as I saw my reflection in the TV.
