Chapter Three
Diesel Jackson
Diesel sprinted as fast as he could down the hall, turning every corner sharply. He had to get to the others and hide like Grover told him to. Diesel couldn't believe what was happening. Why was Collins doing this? What did he want with Grover and Barrett?
Diesel sprinted into the common room, closing the door and leaning back against it, trying to catch his breath. Zoe, Natalie, Violet, and Noodle looked at him.
"Well?" Zoe demanded.
"We have to hide." Diesel said out of breath.
"Hide?" Noodle repeated. "Why? What the hell happened?"
Diesel shook his head. "Collins got Grover and Barrett. I watched as he knocked him out...Grover told me to run."
All of them stared at Diesel in shock. Diesel started packing stuff up. If they had to hide for a certain amount of time then they would need all of their things.
"What do you mean Collins got Grover? What did he...is he okay?" Violet asked frantically.
"He was still conscious when I left him." Diesel told her. Violet stood still, in shock and Diesel knew she was thinking whether or not Grover was dead. "Don't worry. Your boyfriend is badass. I'm sure he's okay."
Grover Jones
Grover slowly regained consciousness thirty minutes after he was knocked out. He opened his eyes and found himself staring at his feet. He realised that he was bound to a chair and he looked up at the sound of someone calling his name.
"Grover?!" Barrett whisper-shouted. Grover was confused and he craned his neck to see Barrett tied to a table leg.
"Barrett?" Grover said quietly.
"Hey are you okay?" Barrett demanded more than asked.
Grover groaned in pain and let his head fall forward. "Please stop yelling." Even though Barrett was whispering he sounded really loud.
Grover didn't see Barrett but he heard him shuffle and move around, causing the desk to move with him and scrape the floor. The sound of the table dragging across the floor, set Grover's teeth on edge and drove him crazy.
Barrett ended up beside him and seemed to be examining him for any injuries. "You're bleeding and you might have a concussion."
Grover laughed a little and said, "That's the least of my worries."
The sound of footsteps drew Grover and Barrett's attention to the door and Grover looked at Barrett in horror and he admitted he was terrified. Barrett gave him a look that said it'll be okay.
Collins walked into the room and when he saw that Grover was awake, he walked over to him. Collins touched the side of Grover's head and he flinched away, wincing in pain when the man's fingers came in contact with what had to be an open wound.
Grover stared up at Collins, his eyes filled with pain and fear. "What do you want from me?"
Collins didn't answer right away as he walked over to another table and rummaged through his pack, pulling out a rag and a bottle of water. "I'm getting you out of here. That's all you need to know for now."
He wet the rag and pressed it to Grover's head. Grover hissed in pain as he began to clean his head wound.
"All that I need to know? You knocked me out and basically tied me up! I think I deserve a straight ass answer! Who are you and why are you doing this?! What do you want?!" Grover angrily shouted.
Barrett jumped in. "We both deserve a straight answer."
Collins pointed a finger at Barrett and said, "Shut up!" Turning to study Grover he seemed to be thinking. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a picture and showed it to Grover.
In the picture Grover was walking beside a friend, laughing at something he had said. Grover remembered that day vividly even though it was three years ago. Grover slowly looked up at Collins, his eyes wide with shock.
"You've been stalking me since before all of this happened." He said horrified.
"Wait what?" Barrett said confused.
Collins stared at Grover before pocketing the picture again. "I prefer watching."
Grover shook his head in disbelief. "You've been stalking me for three years! And all for what?! Are you a perv--"
Collins cut him off by covering his mouth with his hand. Grover glared up at the man, wanting nothing more than to punch him in the face.
"I don't like that word." Collins said lowly but threatening.
Grover glared icily at him and kicked him in the leg. Collins jerked back, his hand moving from his mouth. "Fuck you!"
Collins looked pissed. "Listen Grover, if you do something like that again-"
Barrett shut him up by kicking him in his other leg and when he doubled over, Grover kicked him in the face, sending him to the floor. Barrett reached up and untied him from the chair. Grover knelt beside Barrett and untied him from the table.
"Come on!" Barrett said.
Grover followed him to the door but before he could leave, Collins grabbed his foot. Grover let out a yelp of surprise as he crashed to the floor. Grover flipped to his back and tried to kick Collins away but the man was stronger than he was. Grover finally kicked him off, sending him crashing into a table and he scrambled to his feet, running for the door.
He never got past the door.
Collins grabbed him and slammed his head against the doorframe and then everything went black.
