Avneet's POV

The cold wind made me flinch as I sat on the edge of the roof. The view was beautiful. I am avneet kaur, a fashion designer. It was late at night and the stars have already made their way in the sky.

Many things happened in this week. I closed my eyes while I processed everything.

Coming back at my old house after years.

My new job in a huge fashion industry.

Tomorrow is my first day there.

Today is the anniversary of my parents...

"I miss them" I said while looking at the stars. I don't even know what happened to them. But I know one thing for sure that it was not an accident, they were KILLED. The marks on my mother's neck in the hospital proved it but police, after they didn't find any evidence, closed this case claiming this an accident.
I brushed off my thoughts because it was not the right time for this and took a long breath. "I will make you both proud" I said with a smile while looking at the stars.

I should head to my room as it was getting dark.

Next day

Avneet was doing her morning chores when someone knocked at her door. She opened it and a blonde with greenish eyes came inside with a wide smile. She was a bit taller than avneet and her body was looking perfectly shaped as she was in a sports dress.

"Come on, I am sure your boss won't like when you would be late on your first day. Be quick avu" She said in a charming voice while avneet giggled.

"Sure zoya. Just 5 minutes more"

Avneet's POV

I got ready quickly and went downstairs where my aunt greeted me with a smile. I pecked her cheek, bid a bye to zoya and left the house without eating breakfast as I was getting late even after my aunt insisted that I eat.

Fortunately, I reached there at time.
I have come here a few times before but still the beauty of the interior parts of the industry still amazed me. I went to rhea, the only girl that I knew there. She showed me my office where a boy was already present. He had brown hair that was perfectly combed and a very good looking face for sure. But yeah, he wasn't my type.

He smiled at me but the next moment, his face became serious while he did his work on computer.
The office was quite large and the walls at the side of the door was made up of glass, we were easily visible to the people outside. There were many novels at a corner that made me smile. I love novels. I like reading so much. I could not stop my feet from stepping towards it.

I picked one of the books when rhea said, "He is Luka, your partner in this office"
I looked towards him again and smiled, "Hi Luka, I am avneet."

He stood up and stepped towards me. "Nice to meet you, avneet" He said with a genuine smile and we shook hands.

"Don't forget to show your designs to our boss. He will be impressed." Rhea said after leaving the office. "He will be here in an hour.

Me and Luka talked for some time, he was so sweet and behaved with me in a very polite manner. After that he got busy in his work, and I thought not to disturb him. So I picked some of my best designs in order to show my boss.

I am nervous. How will he react? This will be my first time with him. Will he like my designs? I am so clumsy, what if I mess up everything?

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear Luka's voice. He probably saw me freaking out because he was looking worried.

He took a chair, placed it beside me and sat on it.
"I am just worried if our boss would like my designs or not." I explained when he frowned.

"Oh come on, your designs are really awesome. I am damn sure he would like it. Who would not like these wonderful designs" Luka said while pointing at my file. I smiled at his words.

"Hey, you are new. I just want to warn you. Be careful around me. He isn't THAT sweet"

Luka told me some more things about siddharth sir, as if he was some kind of monster. Luka made me more nervous, idiot!

I picked up my files and went in the lift as the office of our boss wasn't on the same floor. It was on the 25th floor while mine was on the 18th floor.

The lift stopped on the 25th floor and when I entered, I was shocked. This floor was heaven. It was so beautiful and huge. The floor was made up of white and yellowish marble while a jade color carpet was spread in almost every area. The lighting was looking so elegant.
I was so lost in the beauty of this floor that I bumped with a boy and all of the papers from my file fell down.

"Sorry" We both said at the same time. He chuckled at this, then helped me pick up those papers.

"I never saw you before on this floor" He raised his brows in confusion.

"Well, I am avneet. I am new and this is my first day here" I said confidently with a bold smile. I can't ruin things now. I can do this. He was just an employee. A hot one. He was wearing a normal shirt and black jeans but still he was so hot.

"Hello avneet, I am veer." He said with a charming smile and we shook hands.

"Well can you tell me where is the office of siddharth sir, veer?" I asked as politely as I could.

He told me the way and here I was, in front of a large door and nervous as hell. I took a deep breath, plastered a smile on my face and knocked on the door.

"Come in" A deep and attracted was came from inside. Nervousness came back.

I opened the door and a man wearing a white formal shirt and jeans was sitting while looking at me with a frown. He looked like he was in his early 30s and he was so attracted that I couldn't stop myself from drooling over him. His coat was on his chair and the way he was sitting, his position, turned me on even when I did not know why. His deep eyes so attractive, as if it was looking directly in my soul. His facial features were too good-

"Can you stop staring at me miss..?" His voice brushed off my thoughts while I looked down in embarrassment. He smirked but frowned at the next moment.

"Av.. Avneet Kaur" I said, still not looking into his eyes. Knowing that if I do, I would get lost in his beauty.

"I am Siddharth Nigam, CEO of this industry. Sit down avneet kaur" He said formally but in an ordering manner, as if he owned me.
