Bendy walk amongst the dark road, towards his own home. He never dares to look back at the man behind him, he never dared to glace at his past with him. For he might fear that he could no longer hold his ground.

He feared that he can't hold himself any longer, and just run back to the man he once loved with all his heart.

So he didn't looked back, and he never will. He wipes his tears and saw his house of comfort. He slowly enters his home and silently closed his doors. Bendy walks up his stairs and slump onto his bed. He hugs his pillows and silently cried himself to sleep.

Morning came by and bright rays of sun seeped by his blankets. He woke up and groans, as he stretches his arms. He begins to do his daily routine and eats his breakfast.

"I wonder what he's up to now" Bendy rolls his eyes in annoyance. But his attention was directly diverted by his ringing phone. He picks it up and saw it was Boris.

"What is it bor?"

"Wow, a good morning would be nice"

"Yeah, yeah I know, good morning. So what is it that you want?"

"Oh dear brother! Why would you think of that?" Boris gasps, as he tries to act hurt. Bendy only giggles at this.

"Bor stop I know you're clearly lying"

"Okay,okay I will be visiting you later in your shop." Boris giggles lightly.

"K, see you then, byeeee"

"Wait I haven't finished yet-!" Bendy hanged up before Boris could tell something else.

"Now that's over, time to dress up!" Bendy cheered, he put on his polo and slacks. Trying his best to look descent enough.

After a long walk he finally opens the shop, and got everything ready.

"Hi little boss!" A voice cheered from his back.

"Hi  Alice." He said casually, still arranging the packets, not even bothering to look at her.

"So... Is that hot bod visiting you again?" She leans on the counter, having that smug look on her face.

"That was my ex"

"Your what!!" Alice suddenly slips his hand and falls to the floor. "Ow!"

"Still clumsy aren't you Alice " Bendy giggles, now looking at her.

"You didn't tell me he was your ex! I could of stop him from bothering you"

"Well that's fine and all, but hey at least I get to see him from time to time..." Bendy lets out a sad sigh, hanging his hand down. Alice saw this, and couldn't help but to feel sympathetic.

"You still miss him... don't you?" He only nodded in response.

"But little boss, why did you two separate in the first place?"

"He... cheated on me" he lays his head down the counter, having a dull look on his eyes. Alice slowly rests her hand on his shoulder.

"That's not really the answer I was looking for, and you know that's not true" Bendy nods weakly and regained his composure.

"You... are right, but at least I'm happy  now, right?" He tries on a smile that seemed too bitter to be one. Alice sadly nodded, and helped clean the shop.

At least I'm happy now... right?

It was in the late afternoon. Still no visits from Cuphead, this made him worry. He shook his head and tries to focus on his paperwork.

"What's taking him so long?"

Then his door creaked open. He looks at its direction, hoping to see him. But it was only Alice.

"What is it Alice?"

"Little boss, big boss is here to see you" she smiles and closes the door.

Bendy felt slightly disappointed, but kept his smile. He went out of his office and saw Boris. Who had a worried look on his face.

"What's wrong Boris?"

"It's Cuphead"
