Chapter 8: Goodbye, Rose Tyler. Hello, Donna Noble

Emily

"Hold on, Mom!" I shouted losing my grip on mom little by little. "Emily, take care of him." Mom whispered tightening her grip on me. The force was to strong, she let go of my hand. "MOOOOOOOOM!" I screamed on the top of my lungs. Parallel universe Mr. Tyler caught her in time and brought her to the parallel world. I closed my eyes letting my tears fall. She was the best thing that happened to us and now she's gone. Everything was gone now. I ran to the wall and banged on it. "Mom..." I whispered letting more tears go down my face. Dad hugged me to him, but I kept hitting him. "Emily, please. Don't make this any harder for both of us." Dad begged. That made me stop.

For the first time... Dad begged for the first time. "Rose..." Dad whispered hugging me tightly. I cried on his shoulder. He carried me back to the Tardis and just stayed there. "Emily, you have to eat." Dad said handing me a burger. "I'm not hungry." I replied sniffing. "If it makes you feel better. I'm going to see Rose for one last time." Dad said smoothening my hair. I turned towards him and got the burger. "Let's do it." I said finishing the burger and throwing the wrapper at the trash bin. "Just hold on a bit, ok?" Dad said kissing my forehead. I nodded and sat on the railing again.

If it weren't for the Daleks and Cybermen we would still have Rose. THOSE STUPID MACHINES ALWAYS HAD TO RUIN EVERYTHING! "Emily come here." Dad ordered helping me down the railing. I walked towards him to see Rose running towards us. "Mom!" I gasped almost falling to the ground if it weren't for Dad. "Emily. Doctor." She said letting the tears fall down. I fell to the floor and cried. I didn't want to hear them saing goodbye. I'M NOT GOOD WITH GOODBYES! I never wanted to lose anyone so dear to me... "What're you going to do?" Mom asked crying again. "Oh, I've got the Tardis, Emily. Same old life, last of the Time Lords." Dad replied near to tears.

"Both of you on your own. I, I love you." Mom said smiling. I stood up. "I love you too, Mom." I said hugging her out of thin air. She cried more. "Quite right, too. And I suppose, it it's the last chance to say it, Rose Tyler-" The power cut Dad off. I looked up to see him crying. I hugged him tightly. I can't. I just can't. I can't go on with life likes this. Dad turns around and lets me go. "What?" He asked frowning. I turned around as well to see a woman with the veil. "OH!" The woman exclaimed.

"What?" Dad asked frowning. "Who are you?" She asked frowning. "But-" She cut Dad off. "Where am I, eh?" She asked again. I wiped my tears away and sniffed. "What?" Dad asked again givining me tissue. "Where the hell am I?" She asked again. "What?" Dad asked frowning. "Lady, stop. We're minding our own business here and you pop out of nowhere demanding where you are. I can't and won't deal with this right now." I said standing up and walking towards the library. "Wait, I'm sorry for your lose. I'm just really late for my wedding." She replied sadly.

"I demand you tell me where I am." She ordered. "I am going to stay in the corner and cover my ears." I mumbled walking towards the chair and covering my ears as we started to move. I closed my eyes and reminiced on more memories. "Behave!" Dad ordered hitting the console with a hammer. "Emily! Help me!" Dad shouted as the Tardis jiggled from left to right. I opened my eyes to see Dad holding a rope. I laughed getting the rope and putting it around the console. "Open the door!" Dad shouted. I frowned and looked outside to see Donna in a taxi with a robot.

"I can't, it's locked!" She shouted back. Dad got his sonic screwdriver and soniced the door. She opened the window. "Santa's a robot." She stated. "Donna, open the door." Dad ordered. I laughed running back in the Tardis and getting two pillows. I threw it under them to cusion them. "I'm not blinking flip jumping. I'm supposed to be married!" She shouted. "Listen to me, you've gotta jump! Dad will catch you!" I shouted. "I'm not jumping on a motorway." She stated. I rolled my eyes and looked at Dad. "Whatever that thing is, it needs you. And whatever it needs you for, it's not good! Now come on!" Dad ordered reaching out for her. "I'm in a wedding dress!" She yelled. "Yes, you look lovely!" Dad yelled back. "Just jump already!" I yelled after.

Donna opens the door and just stays there for a minute. "I can't do it." She said looking at us. "Trust me." Dad said smiling. "Is that what you said to her? Your friend? The one you lost? Did she trust you?" She asked all at the same time. "Yes, she did. And she is not dead. She is so alive. Now, jump!" Dad ordered smillng. I smiled with him. She jumps and I take a step back as they land in. I closed the door after them. We landed on a shoe lane rooftop. We ran out coughing. I sat on the edge first and looked at Donna. "Are you ok?" I asked taking her hand in mine. "It doesn't matter." She said smiling at me. I sighed and hugged her. She hugged me back then Dad makes some kind of comment about the Tardis.

"Did we miss it?" Dad asked looking out. "Yeah." Donna replied looking out as well. "Well, you can book another date." Dad said messing my hair. I let Donna go and walked towards the TARDIS, but he caught me before I could leave. "Course we can." Donna said sadly. "You've still got honey moon." Dad said holding my hands with one hand and looked at Donna. Dang it! Since he got that new hand, he got stronger. "It's just a holiday now." Donna said looking at Dad sadly. "Yeah. Yeah. Sorry." Dad said hugging me to him. I rolled my eyes smiling. "It's not your fault." Donna said smiling. "Oh? That's a change." I said smiling.

"Wish you had a time machine, then we can go back and get it right." Donna said sadly. I looked at Dad and he shook his head at me. "Yeah, yeah. But even if we did. We can't go to someone's personal timeline. Apparently." Dad replied sadly. It would ruin the space time continuum. He let me go and put his trench coat over Donna and sat beside her pulling me with him in the process. "Gosh, you're skinny. This wouldn't fit a rat." Donna teased and commented smilng. "Oh, and you should wear this." Dad said bringin out a ring. I scoffed covering it with a cough. Donna smiled as Dad gave me a frown.

"Oh, do you have to rub it in?" She asked smiling. "Those creatures can trace you. This is a bio-damper. Should keep you hidden. I thee bio-damp." Dad said smiling. I laughed seeing Donna smling again. "For better or for worst. So-" I cut her off. "You may now kiss the bride." I said smirking. "Emily..." Dad warned. "Alright, my mistake. Sorry." I said rasing my hands in surrender. Donna laughed. "So, come on then. Robot santas, what are they for?" She asked smiling. "Ah, your basic robo scavenger. The Father Christmas stuff is just a disguise. They're trying to blend in. I met them last Christmas." Dad said smiling.

"Why, What happened last Chirstmas?" Donna asked frowning. "I am going back in the TARDIS." I said standing up and walking towards the Tardis. As soon as I closed the door, I slide down and let the tears fall. Dad regenerated last Christmas. I didn't want to hear him tell Donna about what happened las Christmas. "Emily, please open up. We have to get to Donn'a reception." Dad said knocking on the door. I laughed and wiped my tears away. I opened the door for Dad and Doona to come in. I closed the door after them and sat on the chair. "There's going to be food, right?" I asked smiling.

Dad controlled the console as Donna walked towards me. "You can't hide that you were crying." She whispered patting my shoulder. I smiled at her and gave her a hug. "Thanks." I whispered smiling. "Ok, we're here. Donna, you go first." Dad said smiling. Donna let me go and went out first. He followed and I was about to go back in my room, but Dad caught my arm. He turned me around and wiped the remaining tears. "Come on." Dad said smiling and pulling me towards the building. We reached the reception area to see them already dancing and having fun. I frowned and was about to yell, but Dad put a hand around my mouth.

"You had the reception without me?" Donna asked sadly. "Donna, what happened to you?" The groom asked with fake worry in his face. Oh, you son of a gun! "You had the recption without me?" She asked again with authority in her voice. "Hello, I'm the Doctor and this is Emily." Dad said removing his hand off my mouth. "They had the reception without me." Donna stated. "Yes, I gathered." Dad said smiling. "This should be after the two humans are wed, right?" I asked whispering to Dad. "I guess." He replied looking at the humans. "Well, it's paid for. Why not?" The blonde asked raising a brow.

"Thank you, Nerys." Donna said frowning. I walked forward. "So you're Nerys. Well, here's a little something for you. Recptions are for married couples not because they're paid for, but because THEY ARE CELEBRATING THE WEDDING OF A HAPPY COUPLE NOT CELEBRATING WITHOUT THE BRIDE!" I shouted. "Well, what were we supposed to do? I got your silly message in the end, Donna. I'm on Earth? Very funny. How did you do it? I mean, what's the trick, because I'd love to know." The lady with the hat said sarcastically. I frowned and tried to get out of Dad's bear hug. Everyone started to talk at the same time. I thought my head would pop.

Donna stared to burst in tears and I stopped. The groom hugged her and everyone applauded except Nerys. Donna gave us a wink and the party started again. Donna and her groom danced while Dad and I stood at a corner. "Wait here. I need to check something." Dad said walking towards a guy and motioning for him if he could borrow his phone. He walked towards me and made a search. "What exactly are we looking for?" I asked frowning and gettting a drink. "No drinks for you yet." He said drinking my drink and sonicing the phone.

I had wide eyes. "Torchwood?!" I asked whispering. Dad closed the phone and gave it back to the man and pulled me to the camera man. "Oh, hi. Me and my Dad are wondering if you taped the wedding ceremony awhile back. We want to see it." I said smiling. "Oh, I taped the whole thing. They've all had a look. They said sell it to You've Been Framed. I said, more like the news. Here we are." He said replaying the video. I had wide eyes. It can't be... "Can't be. Play it again." Dad ordered frowning. "Clever, mind. Good trick. I'll give her that. I was clapping." He said smiling. "But that looks like Huon Particles." Dad said frowning.

"What's that then?" He asked frowning. "That's impossible. That's ancient. Huon energy doesn't excist anymore, not for billions of years. So old that it can't be hidden by a bio-damper!" Dad said pulling me out to see the Santa's walking towards the building. I gulped and we ran back in. "Donna! They've found you." Dad said getting Donna's attention. "But you said I was safe." She replied frowning. "The bio-damper doesn't work. We've got to get everyone out." Dad said looking around. "My gosh, its got my family." Donna said panicking. "Out the back door!" Dad said pulling me toward the back door with Donna following us. More robots! "Maybe not." Dad said running back in. We look through the French windows to see more robots. "We're trapped." Donna commented.

A robot has a remote control. "Christmas trees." Dad stated. "What about them?" Donna asked panicking. "They kill. Stay away from the tree!" Dad ordered. "Don't touch the trees!" Donna ordered as well. "Get away from the Christmas trees! Everyone get away from them! Everyone stay away from the trees! Stay away from the trees!" Dad ordered. I pulled the kids away from the trees and gave them to their parents. The Plastic Balls started to float and attack the people One kid was crying in the middle of it all. I pulled him just in time for a bomb go off beside me causing my arm to have an injury. I screamed. Dad pulled me and the kid towards him. "What the hell were you thinkng?!" Dad asked checking my wound. "Dad... Destroy those things..." I said weakly checking the kid to see him hugging me. "Shhh... it's alright. You're safe now." I whispered kissing his cheek.

"Oi! Santa! Word of Advice. If you're attacking a man with a sonic screwdriver, don't let him near the sound system." Dad said jamming his screwdriver in the deck and the harmonics shake the robots to pieces. "Emily, are you alright?" Dad asked checking me. "Check... the kid... first." I said giving him the kid. I took in deep breathes. "Emily..." Dad trailed off about to give me some of his regeneration powers. "Dad, no. I'm fine. I'll heal it later. We have to get to HC Clements." I said smiling. He smiled back and carried me. "Dad, wait. Look there." I said pointing to a remote. "Look at that. Remote control for decorations, but there's a second remote control for the robots. They're not scavengers anymore. I think someone's taken possesion." Dad said letting me hold the remote.

"Never mind all that. You're a doctor. People have been hurt." Donna said sadly. "Nah, they wanted you alive. Look." Dad said handing Donna a bauble. "They're not active now." Dad commented. "All I'm saying, you could help." Donna said looking at Dad. "Got to think of the bigger picture. There's still a signal!" Dad exclaimed letting me hold the bauble and running out. "There's someone behind this, directing the roboforms." Dad said looking up. "But why is it me? What have I done?" Donna asked frowning. "If we find the controller, we'll find out. Ooo! It's up there. Something in the sky." Dad said looking at Donna. Lance gave us a lift to HC Clements and we were in one of the offices.

"Dad, you have to leave me here. I'll do the searching." I said feeling like my arm will fall out any second. "I am not leaving you here with your arm like that." Dad said frowning. "Well, you have too. So go, I can handle this." I said smiling. He sighed and kissed my forehead. "Come on." Dad said running towards the lift. I sat on one of the chair and hacked the computers. This was really Torchwoods facility. I sighed and fixed my arm. Footsteps were closing in, I hid under the table. "Emily!" Dad whispered shouted. I had wide eyes and went out of hiding. "Come on. We're going billions and billions of years back." Dad said pulling me in the TARDIS.

"My gosh. What happened to you, Emily?" Donna asked examining my arm. "Got in the middle of a bomb and a small kid in your reception awhile back." I replied smiling. "We've arrived. Want to see?" Dad asked smiling. "Do you have to ask?" I asked smiling and followed them. My head was hurting. "Oh, they didn't bury something at the centre of the Earth. They became the centre of the Earth. The first rock." Dad said excited. BANG! Oh, that made it a whole lot worst! I collapsed on the floor. "Emily!" Dad shouted. I felt my body being carried and laid on a bed. Oh, no. Oh, no. I don't want to have a vision now!

Vision

"Come with me." Dad said smiling. "No." Donna said sadly. "Okay." Dad replied sadly. "I can't." Donna said smiling. "No, that's fine." Dad said sadly. "No-"

End of Vision

I can't look at this right now. I have to be with Dad. I forced myself to wake up. I walked out of the TARDIS to collapse in front of Dad. "Emily! I told you to stay in there!" Dad scolded. "I-I wanted to help you." I said smiling. He chuckled and kissed my forehead. "Come on, then. We have a bride to save." Dad said knocking out two robots. I helped me in one as he also wore one. "Can you walk?" Dad asked helping me up. "Dad, I have a broken arm not a broken leg." I replied smiling. "Right. Sorry." Dad replied smiling. We walk up the sars cautiosly. "So you might as well unmask, my clever little doctor man." Empress said smiling. We removed the outfit to see her have wide eyes.

"And who is this?" She asked smirking. "Oh, no one important." I replied smirking. "Oh well. Nice try. I've got you Donna!" Dad shouted sonicing the webs. "I'm gonna fall!" Donna shouted. "You're gonna swing! I've got you, Donna!" Dad corrected and hollered. Donna didn't actually reach us causing her to fal to the floor. "Oh, sorry." Dad apologized. "Thanks for nothing." Donna hollered up. "The doctor man amuses me." Empress said laughing. "Empress of Rachnoss. I give you one last chance. I can find you a planet. I can find and your children a place in the universe to co-exist. Take, smd that offer and end this now." Dad ordered.

I have a really bad feeling about this, but I am up for the kill. "These men are so funny." She said laughing. "What's your answer?" Dad asked. "Oh I'm afraid I have to decline." She replied smiling. "What happens next is your own doing." Dad stated putting his hands in his pockets. I frowned. "Dad, do you have the controller on you?" I asked frowning. "Just an insurance policy." Dad replied smiling. "I'll show you what happens next. At arms! Take aim! And-" Dad cut her off. "Relax." Dad finshed as the robots slumped. "What did you do?" Donna asked smiling. "Guess what I've got, Donna?" Dad asked getting the remote out. "Pockets." Dad continued. "How did that fit in there?" She asked smiling. "They're bigger on the inside." Dad replied handing the controller to me.

"Roboforms are not necessary. My children may feast on Martian flesh." Empress said laughing. "Oh, but we're not from Mars." Dad stated. "Then where?" She asked. I looked at Dad and he nodded. "Our home planet is far away and long since gone. But it's name lives on. Gallifrey." I said smirking. "They murdered the Rachnoss!" She screamed. "I warned you. You did this." Dad said getting some Christmas decorations out of his other pocket. "I always hated spiders." I said controlling the decorations. "No! No! Don't! No!" She screamed at me. I maked them explode on the corridor causing water to come in. "No! No! My children! No! My children! My children!" She screamed again.

I need something to vent my anger on and she's as good those Dalek's and Cybermen. "Emily! You've done enough! Doctor, stop her!" Donna shouted. Dad just looked at the Empress with no emotion. I know he didn't like it, but judgement had to be enforced on her. "My children!" She screamed once more. "Come on. Time I got you out." Dad said motioning for Donna to come up. Those screams just fuel my anger more. "Emily, enough! Come on." Dad said pulling me up. I blinked a few times and followed Dad and Donna up.

"But what about the Empress?" Donna asked as we climbed up the ladder. "She's used up her Huon energy. She's defencless!" Dad exclaimed pulling me up with him causing me to hit my arm. I gasped. "Emily, are you alright?" Donna asked worried. "I'm fine. Take it easy, Dad." I said smiling through the pain. We reached the top just in time for the ship to go BOOM! "Just there's one problem." Donna said smiling. "What is that?" Dad asked smiling. "We've drained the Thames." Donna replied smiling. I laughed. We all went back in the TARDIS while I was concentrating on putting back my arm.

I walked out just in time to hear Donna say no and explain why she can't come with us. My heart clenched as I stayed behind the door. Dad opened the door causing me to collapse on him. "Emiyl!" He said touching my arm. "Ow! Arm! Arm! It's not yet fixed!" I shouted closing the door behind him. "We're not planning on staying, are we?" I asked sadly. He just looked at me started the engine. "Doctor! Emily! Doctor! Emily!" Donna shouted. I opened the door. "Blimey, you can shout." I said smiling. "Am I ever gonna see you two again?" Donna asked hopefully. I looked up at Dad. "If I'm lucky." Dad replied smiling.

"Just promise me one thing. Find someone." Donna said opening her arms for a hug. I walked towards her and hugged her. I let pulled away after a few minutes. "I'll miss you, Donna Noble." I said walking back towards the TARDIS. "We don't need anyone." Dad said ruffling my hair. "Yes, you do. Because sometimes, I think you both need someone to stop you since none of you would stop each other." Donna replied smiling. "Yeah, thanks then, Donna. Good luck. And just be magnificient." Dad said smiling. "I think I will, yeah. Doctor?" Donna asked. "Oh, what is it now?" Dad asked smiling. "That friend of yours. What was her name?" She asked smiling. I looked up at Dad and he nodded. "Her name was Rose." We said in unison before we flew up into the sky and vanished.
