Chapter 2: It's Fricken Charles Dickens!

Emily

"Hold that one down!" Dad ordered as I did what he said. "I'm holding this one down." Rose replied trying to reach the other end but none of us can reach it. "Well, hold them both down." Dad replied sassily. "Don't sass us, Dad." I stated as the TARDIS did another jiggle. "It's not working." Rose replied giving up. "Oi! I promised you a time machine and that's what you're getting. Now, you've seen the future, let's have a look at the past. 1860. How does 1860 sound?" Dad asked as I rolled my eyes at him. Go on, impress her more. "What happened in 1860?" She asked as we continued to hold the controls down. "I don't know. Let's find out. Hold on, here we go!" Dad exclaimed as TARDIS jiggled some more.

We landed and we all ended up falling. I hit my head on the panel before landing on the floor. "Ow!" I yelped massaging my head. "Blimey!" Rose exclaimed. "You're telling me. Are you both alright?" Dad asked sitting up. "Yeah." I replied curling into a ball. "Yeah, I think so. Nothing broken. Did we make it? Where are we?" Rose asked as Dad helped her up. They let me stay as a curled ball. "I did it. Give the man a medal. Earth, Naples, December 24, 1860." Dad replied proudly. "That's so weird. It's Christmas." Rose replied as we were near the door.

And they talk again as if I'm not right here, but they're so adorable! I went to change into appropriate clothes. I can't seem to reach the lock of my dress. "Need help with that?" Rose asked walking towards me. I gasped with wide eyes. "You look lovely!" I commented smiling. "Emily, you look beautiful." She replied smiling. I smiled sadly as I put a shoal on. "I... I never met my mother and... I... I want to at least experience having one." I whispered wiping my tears away. "Emily, look at me." Rose said slowly turning to face her. "Don't cry. You're father is going to get worried." She calmly said trying to make me stop crying.

"I never had a dad. He died when I was still a baby." She started smiling at me. I smiled back leaning on her shoulder. "You know if you want, I can tell your dad to let you pass on this." She whispered letting me lean on her shoulder. "And miss the fun? I don't thin so." I replied smiling back and hugging her back gratefully. "If you want, I can be your mother for now." She suggested kissing my head. "That would be nice." I replied smiling brightly at her. "Ready?" She asked as I finally blew my nose. "Yeah, I'm ready." I replied smiling. We walked out hand in hand as Dad stared at us.

"Blimey!" He exclaimed smiling. "Don't laugh." Mom said smiling. Dad smiled. "You both look like mother and daughter, just beautiful, considering..." Dad trailed off. "Considering what?" She asked smiling. "You're human and she's my daughter." He replied smiling. "I think that's a compliment. Aren't you gonna change?" She asked letting my hand go. I smiled watching them. I watched as they went out smiling. "Coming?" Dad asked offering his arm. I smiled taking his arm. "Ready for this? Here we go. History." Dad said smiling. We walked out and it was snowing. Wow, it looks absolutely amazing! We walked around and I bought a newspaper.

1869

Oh my goodness gracious! "Dad." I whispered handing him the newspaper. "I got the flight a bit wrong." Dad stated as I let him explain it to Rose then we heard screaming. "That's more like it!" Dad exclaimed running ahead. Rose offered her hand and we ran after Dad. "Fantastic." Dad said grinning and we walked in just in time to see the corpse collapse. "Did you see where it came from?" Dad asked as we got in. "Ah, the wag reveals himself, does he? I trust you're satisfied, sir!" A man asked yelling. I frowned looking at him.

"Oi! Leave her alone! Doctor, I'll get them." Rose said smiling at me and left. "Be careful! Did it say anything? Can it speak? I'm the Doctor, by the way and this is my daughter, Emily." Dad said smiling. "Doctor? You look more like a navvie." The man replied chuckling. I frowned, that was an insult. "What's wrong with this jumper?" Dad asked as we watched the lights. They were blue. "Gas! It's made of gas." Dad stated as the blue entity turns into a gas light. "Go into that hearse with Rose." Dad ordered as I ran out and was able to hang on the door and eventually got in. I got in to see a woman and a man staring with astonished faces, but Rose looked drugged. "What did you do to her!?" I yelled checking for a pulse then everything went black.

I heard a click as I woke up. I stood up and twisted the knob to find it locked. Oh no, I have to protect, mum. "Are you alright? You're kidding me, yeah? You're just kidding. You're kidding me, aren't you?" Rose asked as I reached her and pulled her backwards. "Okay, not kidding." She stated as the dead body walked towards us like zombies. I closed my eyes putting a protective spell on both of us. I don't know how to deal with this! "Let us out please!" Rose yelled banging on the door. The guy gripped my throat. I breathed in air and tried to get his hand off me. Dad kicked the door down and caught Rose as I slowly removed the fingers of the guy and fell back to be caught by Dad. "You alright?" Dad asked helping me up. "I'm fine." I replied sighing.

The woman from before made tea and Rose demanded answers as I watched amused. I like it when humans did this. "Don't show her that smile of yours." Dad whispered as I drank my tea. "What smile?" I asked grinning. He chuckled as he got his tea. "That's Charles Dickens over there." He whispered pointing to the man I was speaking too. I had wide eyes. "Really?" I asked finishing my tea then fainted. Something's not right...

REALITY

I took in a deep breath and opened my eyes. "What happened!?" I asked coughing. "We had to move you. They found us." Moriaty replied helping me up. "How!?" I asked slowly pulling the needle out of me. "How long was I out?" I asked rubbing the back of my head. "Half a year." He replied covering me with a blanket and we rushed towards the secret tunnel. We got out in the basement of our house. "You can't be out for too long." Moriaty said worriedly. "I know." I replied smiling. "Oh my goodness! How did they find you?" Mom asked helping us inside. "Saxson traced a bug put on Emily's neck. We were able to remove it, but she had to wake up. Could she please stay? Even just today?" Dad asked worriedly. "If you wish it, sir. Just one day." Moriaty replied as we helped Saxson up.

He coughed grinning. "So close." He whispered. I chuckled as we helped him up the stairs into our spare room. "I envy you, look at this Mansion of yours." Saxson exclaimed smiling. I laughed as we dropped him on the bed. "Ow! Be gentle!" He groaned smiling. We laughed as Moriaty fell on the other bed. "Will you both be alright? I mean I know this room as everything, but you know... the nightmares?" I asked worried. "We're going to be fine. Ems, can you bring me aspirin please?" Saxson asked groaning. I laughed nodding. "I know, I know. I'll be back in five minutes." I replied going out to be met by my four big brothers. "We missed you so much." Sam said hugging me towards him. I laughed hugging him tighter. "I missed you all so much." I said smiling and pulling away. "Well, we got a friggin day. What do you want to do first?" Dean asked grinning. "I have to get aspirin for Saxson first." I replied smirking. Dean shook his head.

"Aside from that." He continued. "I want to see Cas." I replied smiling. Everyones expression went bitter with a mixture of sad. "What did he do?" I asked sighing. "He... uhm... it's not in our place to say it." John replied sadly. "The hell we can't. I get that these other three big brothers of ours are trying to protect you, but you gotta hear it... Castiel is shagging Hannah." Arthur replied steenly. I closed my eyes tightly. "I see... How many months?" I asked opening my eyes to see Mom an Dad joined in. "5." Dean replied gulping.

"Sweetie, I'm sorry." Dad said kissing my forehead. "I'm fine, just get me rum." I replied walking towards ou-my room. I walked towards the bathroom and got aspirin for Saxson. I got out to see Castiel by the other doorway. Shit... He dropped his keys. "E-Emily?" He asked nervously. I smiled and walked past him. "Emily, wait!" He yelled, but I wouldn't listen. I walked past the others and got in to see Moriaty and Saxson giving me a sympathetic look. "Don't." I stated getting an aspirin out of the pack and gave it to Saxson. I gently helped him drink water. "Go to sleep. You got like 25 hours." I replied smirking. "We wouldn't miss it." Moriaty replied falling to sleep. I chuckled kissing her forehead. "Don't I get a kiss?" Saxson teased. "Haha, no. I'm not a cheating bitch." I replied hitting his injured arm. He groaned and I kissed his cheek. "Goodnight, Sax." I whispered as I gently closed the door behind me as I faced my family.

"So, where's my rum?" I asked as John pulled me with him down to the bar. He closed and locked the door behind him. "Hey! I wanna join!" Dean yelled from the other side. I laughed walking towards the door. I opened it and pulled Dean in as I closed the door behind me and locked it. "So, how are you feeling?" John asked as Dean prepared the shots. "Can I get vodka instead?" I asked leaning on him. "No, we're sticking with rum." Dean replied handing me a shot. I chuckled drinking it. Ohh, that feels good. "Emily, tell us about how you feel." Dean said siting beside me. "I feel betrayed. We had a deal that if he couldn't wait for me... he should at least have the decency to tell me before I sleep. I was awake last year, Dean. Whole friggin year just to be with you guys. I got my dad there in the other side so worried he didn't travel for a year, Dean. A friggin year." I replied taking another shot.

"Emily, look, we're sorry we didn't tell you... It's just... You were so happy with him and we couldn't destroy it since... since we destroyed it twice already."John replied kissing my forehead. "I get where you're coming from, but at least give me the decency of knowing. I have the fucking right to know." I stated taking the whole bottle from Dean. "Hey!" Dean scolded grabbing the bottle from me. I grinned massaging my head. "Come on, were's taking you to your room." John stated carrying me bridal style. "No, please. I don't want to see him. Bring me to the spare room. Just get me a pillow and blanket." I replied slurring. "No, if you don't want to stay in your room then take mine. I could just stay in your room or Sammy's." Dean replied taking me from John. "See you later." John whispered kissing my forehead. It was 2 in the morning. I wrapped my arms around Dean's neck and we walked up the stairs.

"Emily, I swear I'm gonna fix this." Dean stated as I shook my head. "There is no fixing this, Dean. I get that Cas is your best friend too, but he's got Hannah, alright. I don't want to do anything with being in a three way relationship." I replied as Dean helped me towards his room. "Y-You... you're okay with Hannah and I?" Cas asked as we reached the top. "Bloody hell, just get me to your room. I need that soft pillow." I stated ignoring Cas. Dean walked towards his room and laid me on his bed. I hate alcohol.

PARALLEL UNIVERSE

"Emily, you have to wake up!" I yelled carrying her out as the flames engulfed the house. We all walked towards the TARDIS. "Will your daughter be alright?" Dickens asked worried. "She'll be alright, sir. Can you just sign this for her? She's also a big fan." I stated before we left him. I gently laid Emily on her bed with the signed books beside her. "Will she be alright?" Rose asked as we tucked her in bed. "Who knows? This happened before and it went on for a year, but I don't know how long this one will last." I replied kissing her forehead. "Best if we leave her like this." I stated taking Rose's hand and we walked out the door and started a new adventure.

REALITY

Emily

I woke up with a massive head ache. "Coffee?" Castiel asked as I sat up. "What the hell are you doing in Dean's room?" I asked leaning on the headboard. "It's our room. He told me to care for you for the time being." Cas replied frowning. He wanted to say more. "Spit it out." I replied taking the coffee and drinking it. "Emily, I love you." He replied staying still. I raised a brow in confusion. "Sorry, did I just hear you say you love me after shagging that girl?" I asked glaring at him. "Emily, I do love you, and only you. Sleeping with Hannah was a mistake I am not willing to pay." He replied sitting beside me. He looked into my eyes. "Emily, I know how hard it is to be there in the other world while you have a family here and I understand that. I am willing to wait and I'm not going to sacrifice my relationship with you because of the mistakes I've done. I really do love you." He whispered kissing me. I had wide eyes, but I kissed him back. I missed him so much.

"I thought I really lost you." I whispered leaning on his shoulder. "You never will. I was drunk and Hannah... She tricked me into doing it." He whispered as Dean and John came barging in. "Quick, get ready. Arthur is coming to punch Castiel." Dean said carrying me towards our walk-in closet. "I'll get her changed." Donna said huffing. "What's happening?" I asked as I changed. "Well, Arthur and Sam heard Dean and John talk about how Castiel was to explain everything to you. I swear, I was there, Castiel is telling the truth. We trusted Hannah... even if you said not too. Em, I'm so sorry." Donna said huggin me as I changed.

"Castiel!" Arthur yelled. "My que to go out." I stated walking out and tackled Arthur. "Stop it!" I ordered as he tried to get me off. "You believe him!?" He asked glaring behind me. "I do, can we just spend today like a normal family? I have to get back in eleven hours." I asked getting off Arthur. Mom smiled. "How is my old self?" She asked helping me up. I smiled hugging her. "I... We didn't lose you yet." I replied as we all went down the stairs. This going to be a long day.
