Ariel's POV

I look around at the castle still standing tall and proud on the cliff overlooking the ocean and smile. "It looks just like it did in your memories." Sam says as he walks up beside me smiling also. 

"It hasn't changed a bit." I say as I turn back to see Cas about to collapse. "Cas!" I call out as I run over to him and catch him before he falls. "Are you okay?" I ask as I look into his eyes. 

"I just need to rest." He says and I sigh as I look up at Sam and say, "Will you take him below deck to the crews quarters and find him a hammock to sleep in until we get back?" Sam nods as he lifts the angel over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and carries him below deck.

"What's wrong with him?" Dean asks as he watches his brother take the angel below deck. 

"Remember when he sent us back in time?" I ask and then the realization covers his face. 

"He can send people back in time?" Killian asks his eyes filled with an unknown purpose. 

"Don't even think about it." I say as I understand his intentions. 

"Don't think about what love?" 

I raise an eyebrow as I say, "Really?" He smiles and I quickly look away before my face starts to flush. "Anyway, I think before we start our mission we should go ashore and gather supplies, there's no telling how long Cas is going to be out of commission." 

"What you mean we may be stuck here?" Dean asks his voice filled with worry.

 I look up at him and smiling say, "Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing eats you." 

Then I turn and walking away hear Dean ask Killian, "She's joking right?" 

"If only she was mate."

I smile brightly as I help Killian drop anchor, "You do realize we have one slight problem, don't you love?"

 I turn toward Killian my eyes narrowed in confusion and he sighs as he points down to my clothes. I mentally slap myself as I say, "I understand, do you still have any of my dresses?"

 He smirks as he says, "They are right where you left them." 

I smile as I say, "Okay, do you mind if Dean and Sam can borrow some clothes as well?" 

Killian raises an eyebrow as he says, "You're going to go ashore with the Prince's doppelganger?" I mentally slap myself again as I realize Sam will have to stay on board the ship. 

"He's not going to be happy about this?" I say as I fold my arms over my chest.

 "Well go and change, I'll get the life boat ready and then we'll talk to him." I smile as I reach up and gently touch his cheek before I turn and head inside the Captains Quarters.

After I am dressed I walk out to see Dean and Sam wearing pirate outfits and I burst into laughter. "Your moose like friend was too big for any of the clothes." Killian says as I try to stop laughing at Sam, he looked like he was wearing midget's clothes. 

"Sam, you're gonna have to stay behind on this one." I say as I stop laughing earning me looks of confusion from both him and Dean. 

"What why?" Sam says as he throws me his famous puppy dog eyes. 

"Think long and hard Sam, You look just like Eric therefore if we show up with you people will get the wrong idea. They'll think we've kidnapped their king or something like that." Sam pouts as he nods in agreement. "Don't worry I'll pick you up some more fitting clothes, okay?" 

He smirks as he says, "Okay just take care of yourself." 

"Will do," I gently rub his arm before standing back away from the men and saying, "Well I guess there's no time like the present."

They all look at me confused until I reach into my pocket and pull out the vial of glowing green liquid and with a shrug of my shoulders I say, "Cheers," bringing the vial to my lips I let the liquid slowly slide down my throat until the vial is empty. I purse my lips at the overly mint flavor as I say, "Oh that was nasty," I place the vial back into my pocket as I wait for some sort of reaction. 

"So?" Dean asks his eyes searching mine. 

"I guess I'll just have to wait until I go swimming to find out." The guys stare at me worry filling their eyes causing me to roll mine. "Look I'll be fine, just don't let me get wet okay?" Dean snorts as he tries not to laugh. "Really Dean?" 

"What you're the one who said it?" 

I put my hands on my hips as I say, "Okay, for one you can't talk like that here someone will literally try to kill you. Another why don't you just not talk at all, it'll save me a lot of trouble of keeping you alive." Dean bites his lip as annoyance fills his eyes.

"Alright shall we?" Killian says as he motions to the lifeboat. 

"We'll be right back Sammy," I say as I walk over and hug him. 

"I'll watch over Cas until he wakes up." He says as he hugs me tightly before I release him and walk over to the ladder that led down to the lifeboat. The boat ride to shore was short and quiet. Killian was the first one to hop up onto the dock, after he tied the boat off he reaches his hand down to me. 

After we are all on the dock we start making our way into town. I smile as I watch the townspeople go about their daily lives bustling back in forth in the market. 

"You look like you're having fun." Dean says causing me to look up at him and smile brighter. 

"You have no idea how much I have missed this place." His hand reaches out and gently takes mine as he looks around uncomfortably.

I contemplate pulling my hand away from him but decide against it; instead I reach over with my other hand and take Killian's hook in my hand. "What's this?" He says as he feels me tug on his hook. 

"Nothing I just felt like holding your hand."

 Killian smirks as he pulls Dean and me through the crowd over to a clothing kiosk. I smile as I release their hands and walking over to the clothes look for something large enough to fit Sam. After I purchase Sam's clothes I turn to see Dean helping Killian with the supplies and smile as I think to myself, 'If only they didn't have to go back, we could stay here and be a happy family.' Losing myself in my thoughts I start to stray from the clothing vendor and smile as I walk through the market.

When I finally break away from my thoughts I look around to see that I am standing in front of a kiosk filled with jewelry and other trinkets. As I look at them I spot something that Bobby would like. 'BOBBY!' my mind screams out causing me chide myself for leaving and not telling him. 'He's gonna kill me!' I say to myself as I reach down and pick up the personal mirror that is enchanted with magic, allowing the keeper of one side the ability to see the owner of the other half. "Excuse me how much is this?" I ask once I get the attention of the man standing behind the table. 

"For a pretty girl like you, it's free." 

"Oh no I couldn't, let me give you something for this." I say as I reach into my pocket and pull out a pouch of gold pieces that I use to give the man five pieces to which he stares at me dumbfounded but grateful.

"Thank you, but this is more than generous." 

"It's okay; I'm in a generous mood." I say as I give the man a polite wave, place the mirror in my pocket, and turning walk right into somebody causing me to drop Sam's clothes. 

"My deepest apologies," The man says as he kneels down to help me pick up Sam's clothes. 

"It was my fault I should have watched where I was," My voice catches as I look up to see the familiar face of my first love, his long hair dangling down to his shoulders. 

He smiles as he says, "Do I know you? You look very familiar to me?" My mouth hangs open as I stare into his greenish blue eyes speechless. His eyes sadden as he says, "I'm sorry; you could not have been her." 

"I'm sorry?" I say as I find my voice.

I watch as he clenches his jaw as he says, "She died, a long time ago." 

"I'm so sorry; she must have been someone special." 

He smirks as he helps me stand and says, "She was, I just did not know how much until she was gone." 

My heart clenches as I reach over and gently touching his arm say, "I'm sorry for your loss." 

He half smiles as he says, "I should let you get back to your shopping." 

"Well thank you again, and I hope you find your missing girl. Good luck Eric," I say as I grip tightly to Sam's clothes and start to make my way through the hustle and bustle of the market. I look around for Dean and Killian but don't find them. "Dean?" I call out as I try to push my way through the crowd. "Killian, where are you?" I ask as I try to make my way back to the dock.

I keep calling out their names until I hear a man call out, "Ariel?" I turn toward the voice to see Eric pushing through the crowd trying to get to me. "Ariel wait!" He cries out as he tries to make his way to me. My heart starts to race causing panic to fill my body making me run toward the dock where I see Dean and Killian almost finished loading the lifeboat. They turn toward me and Dean's eyes widen as he sees the fear in my eyes and he rushes toward me. As he reaches me I grab his hand and pull him back toward the boat. 

"What's wrong love?" Killian says when we reach him. 

"We have to go now!" I say as I jump into the boat followed by him and Dean. 

"Ariel please wait!" Eric says as he starts to run down the dock followed by his body guards.

"Sam?" Dean says as he looks back toward the dock a look of confusion filling his face. 

"No mate, that's Prince Eric." Killian says as he elbows Dean in the side to start rowing. 

As Dean starts to row he looks down at me as I try to keep myself from breaking down. "Mary, its okay you're gonna be fine." He says as he starts to row faster.

 "ARIEL!" I hear Eric yell out and my heart clenches causing tears to fall from my eyes. I quickly reach up and covering my ears try to block out his cries. All of the sudden I hear a loud splash causing me to turn back toward the dock where I see Eric swimming out toward us. "Is he freaking crazy?" Dean asks as he and Killian stop rowing. Panic fills my body and without thinking I start to take my clothes off.

"Whoa what the hell are you doing Mary?" Dean says as he tries to cover my body. 

"Dean I can't just let him drown, you don't know him he won't stop until he reaches the boat." I say as I turn and jump into the water.

 All of the sudden I feel a tingling sensation as I sink deeper into the sea. I look down to see my beautiful green tail forming beneath me. I smile as I open my mouth and testing the breathing say, "It feels so wonderful." I smile brightly as I see I can breathe and talk under water. Eric pops into my head and I look back toward the dock to see him still swimming toward the boat. My heart clenches as I swim up to the surface and looking toward him see a smile fill his face as he says, "Ariel!" I bite my lip as I slowly swim over to him unsure of what exactly I was going to tell him.

When I reach him he reaches over and wraps his arms around me holding me tightly. "Ariel, I'm so sorry I didn't realize how much you meant to me until it was too late." 

Tears fill my eyes as the old emotions start to fill my body causing my heart to tighten. "Eric you have to go back." I say causing my heart to tighten more. 

Pulling away he looks deep into my eyes and says, "No, not when I've just found you. I'll never let you go again." 

"What about Vanessa?" I ask as I look away from his eyes. 

"Vanessa died, a few years ago. It was when she died that I realized I had not really loved her." 

My eyes jerk back to him as I say, "Eric, I'm so sorry." 

He clenches his jaw as he says, "Why did you leave?" 

My heart tightens as I say, "Eric, I was in love with you; I couldn't bear the thought of seeing you with someone else, so I left." 

"Ariel, I thought you were dead, how did you survive?" 

I smile as I say, "A very good man found me adrift and rescued me."

 Eric looks past me to the boat as he says, "I would like to meet this man and thank him personally." 

I smile as I say, "You might want to call off your guards first," I say as I look past Eric to see his guards rowing out toward us. 

"I agree, I shall meet you there then?"

 I smile as I say, "Sure," He turns and quickly swims back to his guards and I sigh as I turn and swim back to the lifeboat where Dean and Killian are waiting patiently.

"So?" Dean asks as he looks down into my sea blue eyes. 

"We're going to have company." I say as I look away from them. 

"Are you crazy? Do you want them to see Sam?" Dean says his voice starting to rise. 

"I have to agree with Dean love, having Eric on our ship is not the best idea." Killian says as he reaches a hand out to me. 

Rolling my eyes I swat his hand away and say, "I'll meet you at the boat, if I come out now they'll see my tail." 

"You have a tail?" Dean asks his face filled with curiosity.

 I smile as I say, "Yup, and I'm gonna use it, see you at the ship. Peace out bitches!" I quickly submerge myself in the water and swim over to the other side of the ship. When I breach the surface I start to climb the ladder but find it hard to maneuver with my tail. "Sammy!" I call out hoping that he'll hear me. 

"Mary?" I hear his voice call out on the deck and I gratefully sigh. 

"Down here! I need some help!" Seconds later Sam looks over and his eyes widen as he sees my tail. 

"What happened?" He says as he starts to climb down the ladder.

"Long story short I ran into Eric and he's on his way here now." 

Sam freezes and his eyes fill with fear as he says, "He's coming here? What am I gonna do?" 

"I don't know, I'll figure something out. Just help me to the deck and help me get dry." 

Sam nods as he pulls my arms around his neck and says, "Hold on to me." 

I tighten my grip on his shoulders as he quickly carries me up to the deck where Dean and Killian were just getting back with the supplies. "Hurry Sam, put her in my quarters'." Killian says as he hands Sam his clothes and some rags. Sam picks me up and quickly carries me into the captain's quarters where he and I start to dry off my legs. "I sure hope Rumple got this part right." I say as panic starts to set in.

Seconds later Killian bursts through the door and says, "Sam there is a compartment in the galley, it's hidden but small you just might be able to fit in there." 

Sam nods as he looks back to me and says, "What about you?"

 "I'll be fine go," 

"I'll help her mate, hurry." Killian says as he walks over and takes Sam's spot rubbing my tail.

 I watch as Sam leaves before I turn to Killian and say, "I bet this isn't how you envisioned us being alone in here."

 Killian smiles as he says, "Not exactly love," All of the sudden I feel Killian's hands against my bare flesh and I look down to see Killian's hands freeze on my thighs. He smiles as he says, "If your ex wasn't on his way here I can think of a couple things we could do." 

I raise an eyebrow at him and lean toward him as I say, "What makes you think you could handle me?" 

He raises an eyebrow as he says, "I have a feeling,"

As I look into his oceanic blue eyes I start to feel my heart race causing my body to move toward him the only thing saving me from kissing him was Dean walking through the door carrying my clothes and saying, "Come on Mary, he's almost here." 

I cough as I quickly pull away and standing up walk over to Dean where he helps me put my clothes on. "I'll be outside love," Killian says as he stands and walks out the door obviously irritated at Dean and Eric's interruptions. As I finish the last ties I grab Dean's hand and pull him out onto the deck right as Eric and his bodyguards climb up onto the deck. Dean's grip tightens on my hand as he looks over and see's his brother's doppelganger. I glance up into his green eyes and give him a reassuring smile as I say, "It'll be okay." He clenches his jaw as his hands refuses to release mine.

 I sigh as I say, "Dean, please let me go." 

"Oh, sorry." Dean says as he instantly releases my hand.

"Ariel," I hear Eric say and I turn toward him with a forced smile on my face. 

"Hello again Eric." He smiles as he walks over and wraps his arms around me. I sigh as I reach around and hug him back; his musky scent fills my senses bringing old feelings back up. I swallow a gulp of air as I slowly pull away from him and say, "You've gotten taller." 

His smile brightens as he says, "Perhaps, but you've grown a lot since the last time I saw you." 

I shrug my shoulders as I say, "I have," 

He smiles as he looks past me and says, "I feel we are being rude. Would you care to introduce me to your companions?" 

I smile as I turn and lead him over to where Killian and Dean where standing and say, "Eric, this is Captain Jones and his first mate Dean Winchester." 

Eric smiles brightly as he says, "I want to thank the both of you for taking such good care of Ariel over the past few years."

"It's been a pleasure your highness," Killian says as nudges Dean in the side. 

Dean rolls his eyes as he says, "Yes your majesty, it's been memorable." 

I swallow a gulp of air as Dean's green eyes meet mine, causing memories to flow through my mind. "I am sure it was, that is why I will be taking her off your hands." 

"What?!" Dean, Killian, and I say in unison causing Eric to look at me smiling and say, "I want to make you my queen that is if you'll still have me?" My heart starts to race as panic fills my body causing my voice to disappear. 

"Um I'm sorry but that won't be possible," Killian says and I turn toward him eyes calling out for help. 

Eric's smile fades as he turns toward the pirate and says, "And why wouldn't it be possible?" 

"Cause she's already married." I hear a voice say and turning see Sam standing a few feet away from the stairs that lead down to the galley.

Everyone freezes as they look at the man who looks like their king. "Who is this imposter?" One of Eric's guards asks as he starts to make his way over to Sam sword in hand. Panic runs through my veins causing me to take Killian's sword and rush over to Sam's side where I stand protectively between him and the guard. 

"Ariel!" Eric says as he rushes over and grabs his guards arm pulling him away from me. "What do you think you are doing?!" Eric asks his guard as he stares daggers at the man. 

"Eric, it's not his fault he was just doing his job." I say as I feel Sam grab my hand. 

"Would you mind explaining how there is a man that looks exactly like me aboard your ship?" 

I gulp down a breath of air as I say, "Gladly, This is Sam Winchester Dean's younger brother. They are from a land far from here; they are just here to protect me."

Eric raises an eyebrow as he says, "Protect you? Protect you from what?" 

I look down at the deck as I say, "It's better if you don't know." 

"The sailor said you were already married, if so where is your husband?" My heart stops as I stare at him completely dumbfounded. 

"She's my wife," I hear a voice say and I turn to see Killian walk over to me and protectively wrap his arm around me. 

"Oh, my apologies then Captain." Eric says sadness filling his eyes. My heart clenches at the sight of Eric in melancholy. 

I look up into Killian's eyes as I say, "Give me a moment alone with him please." Killian sighs as he nods and motions for Sam to follow him to the other side of the boat. Taking a deep breath I reach up and gently laying my hand on his say, "Eric, I'm sorry but you moved on with your life as did I and,"

"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise." I turn and my blood freezes as I meet Ursula's eyes. 

"Ursula!" I say as I position myself between her and Eric. 

"My, my, my I must admit I am surprised to see you back here Ariel." She says as her tentacles move toward me only to be sent back by me swiping Killian's sword at them. 

"Stay away from me you bitch!" 

Ursula raises an eyebrow as she says, "You're not the same fragile girl I sent through the portal, you've changed." 

I smirk as I say, "That's because I've seen things worse than you, I've killed creatures uglier and more powerful than you could ever imagine. My days of being afraid of you are over." 

I lift the sword up causing a smile to cover her face, "I may not be able to scare you but your friends I can." She says as her tentacles whip out and seize Killian, Dean, and Sam. 

"Let them go!" I cry out as I rush her only to fall to the deck of the ship as she escapes over the side of the ship. Turning toward Eric's guards I say, "Get his highness to safety, I've got this." The man nods as he ushers his Prince to the boats. 

"Ariel I won't leave you!" Eric says as he tries to push his way through his guards grasp.

"Take care," I say as I slowly turn back toward the way Ursula had taken and taking a deep breath run and jump off the railing and into the water. 

"Ariel!" Eric voice cries out before I hit the water and feel my two legs become one beautiful green tail. I look around until I see Ursula diving deeper into the water the guys kicking and thrashing as the air starts to leave their lungs. 

"Ursula let them go this is between you and me!" I yell out as I near her. 

Ursula smirks evilly as she says, "I'll release them under one condition," 

"I'll do anything!" I say as I watch the men slowly start to loose consciousness. 

"You must return with me and become another one of my precious collectables." 

"Done, just let me save them please." Ursula smirks as she releases the men and I watch in fear as they start to sink toward the bottom.

I quickly make my way to Sam and quickly press my lips to his filling his air with lungs. Sam's eyes shoot open as he becomes aware that he is free from Ursula's grasp. "You'll be okay hurry help me save Dean and Killian. As he nods I quickly make my way over to Dean where I repeat the process with him. When Dean is able to breathe I turn toward Sam and say, "Get him out of here, I'll get Killian!" Sam nods as he starts to pull Dean toward the surface. 

I glance around the sea floor until I see Killian and my heart stops as I see him inches from death. Fear fills my body as I rush over to him and pressing my lips to his start to feel his body become alive under my touch, his hands reaching up and digging into my hair causing my body to heat up sending waves of passion through my body. I lose myself in his touch as he pulls me in closer to him.

"You're running out of time." I hear Ursula say and I reluctantly pull away from Killian and as tear fill my eyes say, "Goodbye Killian, I love you."

 With a wave of my hand I use my mermaid abilities to push him back toward the surface where he would be safe. I feel my heart break as I turn back toward Ursula and say, "Okay, I'm ready." I instantly feel her tentacles wrap around my body and drag me after her. 

"I see something's haven't changed, you still put other's lives above your own." I remain quiet as I make my body go limp and give up readying myself for whatever was going to happen next.
