Mary Winchester

Mary's POV (SPN)

"Where are we?" I ask as I look out the window of the Impala as Dean pulls into a small town nestled next to the Atlantic Ocean.

"A town called Storybrooke, the funny thing is I'm not finding it on any of the maps." Sam says as he refolds the Maine state roadmap.

"Storybrooke? What kind of a name is that?" I say as I run a hand through my long copper curly hair and lean back against the back seat of the impala. As we drive through the town I look around to see all the people staring at our car. "Um why do I have the feeling these people don't get very many visitors." I say as I lean forward and point to the hordes of people staring at us. "This kind of reminds me of that case we had with the scarecrow, remember all those people did the exact same thing."

I smack Dean on the back of the head and say, "Don't jinx us asshole."

Dean clenches his jaw as he says, "You're lucky I'm driving,"

Smiling I lean over the front seat until my face is inches from his and say, "Or what?" Keeping his eyes on the road he smirks. "That's what I thought." I say as I gently place a kiss on his cheek.

"Please guys, I'm right here." Sam says as he looks the other way.

"Don't worry Sammy; I won't do that with you here."

"Thanks," I smile as I lean back in the seat and let out a sigh.

"So Sammy, what's the deal with this place, why are we here?" Dean asks as I return to looking out the window.

"It seems that before a few months ago this town didn't exist."

I raise my eyebrow and turn toward him as Dean says, "How is that possible?"

Sam shakes his head as he says, "No idea, but I figured it was worth checking out."

"Town pops up outta nowhere yeah I would call that abnormal." Dean says as he pulls into Granny's Bed and Breakfast.

"Well this looks cute," I say as I open my door and climbing out take in the sea air as the wind blows it through the trees. I smile to myself as the smell touches an unknown memory.

"Hey Mary you coming?" Dean says breaking me from my day dream.

I smile as I say, "I've been cooped up in a car all day, I think I'm gonna stretch my legs." I say as I reach into the back seat and grab my leather coat.

"Wait," Dean says as he walks over to me. "Take this, just in case."

Rolling my eyes I look down to see him handing his handgun over to me. "Dean, I'm okay. I'm not going to look for trouble, just going to go for a walk."

Dean clenches his jaw as he peers into my oceanic green eyes and says, "We never go looking for trouble, but it still seems to find us so take it."

Smiling I reach up and kiss his cheek, "I'll be fine." I turn and start making my way down the road putting my jacket on in the process.

Dean had always been protective over me ever since they found me unconscious in the middle of one of their jobs. I still have no memory of how I got there or who I was before, but they had taken me in and started calling me Mary. I smile at the memory and taking a deep breath put my hands in my pockets and continue walking down Main Street. I look around at the buildings and smile. I see a restaurant called Granny's and my stomach starts to grumble. I smile as I walk into the diner to see a bunch of people filling the booths. I look around until I find an empty seat at the end of the bar and quickly make a beeline for it. "What can I get for you to drink?" A tall girl with long black hair wearing a skimpy red outfit says as she hands me a menu.

"Can I get a glass of water please?"

"Of course," She smiles as she walks away. Looking at the menu I catch a glance of another woman at the other end of the bar staring in my direction. I quickly put it off and when the woman in red returns I smile. "Find something you want?"

"Can I get a Caesar salad and then can I also get the bacon cheeseburger and another salad to go, and do you guys have any pie?" Smiling she points to the other end of the bar where three trays of pie sat in a warmer. "I'll take a piece of pumpkin,"

"Okay have it ready in just a few, if you need anything else just call my name, and by the way my names Ruby."

Smiling at the irony I say, "I'm Mary, and thank you." I quickly eat my food and then grabbing the to go bags pay for my meal and say, "Thank you Ruby." I quickly make my way out the diner door and start walking back to the bed and breakfast. The sea breeze hits me again and I freeze in my footsteps as I take in the scent.

"Ariel?" I turn toward the voice to see the woman from the diner standing a few feet away, her long dark brown hair cascading around her beautiful face.

"My name is Mary, can I help you?" I say as I stare at the woman's face to see her grey eyes fill with tears.

"Ariel, I can't believe you're actually here." She starts toward me and I take a step back as I say, "Look I don't know who you are but my name isn't Ariel, it's Mary, Mary Winchester. Now if you'll excuse me." As she steps toward me I bolt toward the Bed and breakfast not stopping until I am at the front door. 'If I walk in like this Dean will freak' I say as I slow my breathing and compose myself. I reach into my pocket and pulling out my cell phone call Dean.

Dean - "Mary, are you okay?"

Mary - "Yeah, just need to know what room number."

Dean – "Okay, we're in room 18."

Mary – "Okay, be there in a sec."

Hanging the phone up I open the bed and breakfast door and quickly make my way up the stairs to room 18. When I come to the door I open the door and smile to see Sam deep in research on his laptop and Dean sitting at a desk cleaning his guns. "Hey I brought food." I say breaking them from their trance. Smiling I set the bag on the table as the two of them walk over to me. Reaching into the bag I pull out two containers and handing one to Sam say, "Salad for you, and a bacon cheeseburger for you." Dean smiles as he takes the container from me and walks over to the bed and turning the TV on starts to eat.

I set down at the laptop and start to check emails when the woman's face pops into my head. I don't know why but she seems familiar to me. I stand and walk over to the window and stare out at the sea as her face tries to bring up my lost memories. "You okay?" Sam says as he appears by my side.

"I don't know," Sam's face turns concerned as he lays a hand on my arm and says, "What's wrong?"

Running a hand through my red hair I say, "Just now on the way back from the diner a woman called out to me, but she didn't call me Mary; she called me Ariel."

Sam nods as he says, "Is it possible that you are from here?"

I shake my head as I say, "No, I'm not from here. There isn't anything about this place that feels familiar."

"Then why is an woman getting to you?"

I shrug my shoulders as I say, "I honestly don't know."

"Well there's nothing we can do about it now, how about you get some rest and we'll locate that woman tomorrow."

Nodding I walk over to the table where my backpack sat and pull out a big t-shirt and a pair of shorts. "I'm gonna take a shower real quick." I say as I walk toward the door clothes in hand.

"Need any company?" Dean says a smirk crossing his face.

"No, besides you have pie."

Dean's eyes widen as he runs over and grabs the pie container out of the bag and smiles, "See Sam at least Mary remembers the pie." I smile as I open the door and quickly make my way to the bathroom.

After my shower I walk back to the room to find Dean asleep leaning against the headboard of the bed, and Sam asleep in the chair his laptop setting in his lap. I smile as I walk over and grab the laptop and turning it off set it on the table. I walk over to the closet and grabbing an extra blanket and pillow, walk back over to Sam and gently cover him up placing the pillow gently under his head. I then look over at Dean still asleep leaning against the headboard and smile. I walk over and gently pull him down to sleep comfortably. When I am sure he is comfortable I walk back over to the closet and pull out another blanket and walk over to the window seat and crawling up next to the window cover myself up and fall asleep to the smell of the sea filling my senses.
