Eun Kyung felt as if she would faint soon. Seeing spirits was a normal thing for her. However, seeing a cat become a HUMAN was not a frequent occurrence.
Eun Kyung pulled her hands away from Taehyung and eyed him and Yoongi carefully.
"Can either of you tell me what the fuck just happened?" She asked. The two males glanced at one another.
"Do whatever you want but I'm sitting down," Yoongi said and made his way to the couch. Taehyung followed suit and Eun Kyung carefully did the same. She was being extra cautious around the strange cat-human man.
When all three of them were seated, Taehyung began the long story.
At the beginning of time, the world was..simplistic. There were only two humans roaming the earth back then, living amongst the animals. Everything was perfect for the two of them, until one day, the only humans on Earth went against the will of mother nature and reproduced. After the baby was born, an evil being grew up from deep within the grounds of the earth and scolded the two of them for bringing another life into the world against orders. Mother Nature cursed the humans and their bloodline.
"Your son's sons and daughter's daughters will be doomed to roam the earth reincarnated as vicious felines after their death," mother nature said. All descendants of the disobedient humans lived long and happy lives but after they died, their spirits were transformed into angry cats. It was a very odd punishment, but it did serve it's purpose. Thousands of years later, one human girl pleaded and prayed to mother nature to revoke the curse, she said she would be willing to do anything at all. Mother nature accepted the girl's pleas, but only partially. She altered her curse so that the descendants would be able to turn their spirits back into a human-like form, but other humans could only see them while they were cats. The price for this, however, was the girl's life. She died to have the curse altered, and that's what brings us to where we are today.
"Since all humans are technically descendants of the original humans, all spirits go through the same thing. This is what awaits you after death, unless you're actually sent to Heaven or Hell," Taehyung concluded. Eun Kyung shivered. The story Taehyung told was much, much different from anything she had ever heard. She only knew about Adam and Eve, and the biblical tales she'd been taught since she was a child.
"I must be dreaming," Eun Kyung said as she stood up. Taehyung and Yoongi simply stared at her and she flinched. Everything they said went against her personal religious beliefs, and she wasn't ready to allow that.
"So what, I'm gonna become a cat when I die?" Eun Kyung asked in disbelief. Taehyung nodded and Yoongi rolled his eyes for the millionth time.
"You seemed so smart before, now you just seem dumb," he said coldly. Eun Kyung glared at the ghost.
"Get out of my house!" She exclaimed, not liking his attitude. Yoongi laughed loudly at Eun Kyung's words and stood up.
"Here's something else you should know, all spirits are trapped in the place they died at. We can leave but after 48 hours, our spirits are sent back to our death place against our will. Even if I leave right now, you'll see me again very, very soon," he said and stalked closer to Eun Kyung. The girl shrunk back in fear with every step Yoongi took towards her. She backed away as much as possible, but the couch was right behind her legs so she had nowhere to go, unless she bolted around Yoongi.
"Yoongi, calm down, don't scare the girl," Taehyung said as he interrupted and pulled Yoongi away. Yoongi looked annoyed but he let it happen without any resistance. Eun Kyung felt grateful that she had brought Taehyung inside, if only to be a peacemaker.
"So I really have to live here with you?" Eun Kyung asked and dramatically plopped back onto the sofa. Yoongi nodded and smirked as he said, "You're stuck with me, baby."
Eun Kyung's cheeks burned up at the use of the pet name but she scowled at the ghost.
"W-what about you, Taehyung?" Eun Kyung asked. Taehyung scratched his head and began looking uncomfortable.
"I...died in the alley right beside your house, so I could stay here since it's not even a five feet away from my death place, but I probably won't," he said. Eun Kyung panicked at his words.
"No, no. Feel free to stay, stay as long as you want!" She said hurriedly. Eun Kyung really didn't like the idea of being alone with Yoongi anymore, even though Taehyung was the one who was still completely naked. Taehyung hesitated for a bit but eventually nodded his head. Yoongi had expected this response out of his friend so he wasn't too surprised.
"But first, I'm gonna get you some clothes," Eun Kyung said. She ran to her room, hoping to find some clothes that would fit the male. Taehyung followed behind her quietly, amused by her unease with his nakedness. Jungkook frequently left his clothes on the floor of Eun Kyung's bathroom whenever he stayed over at her house and showered, but with this being a new house, Eun Kyung didn't have any of her cousin's clothes just lying around.
She picked out the biggest t-shirt she owned and a pair of Jungkook's old boxer shorts that she had claimed as her own years before. Eun Kyung held them out behind her without turning around so that she wouldn't have to face Taehyung's manly glory again.
"Here!" She squeaked as perverted thoughts flitted through her mind. Yoongi snorted from the living room and called out, "You're such a baby!" Eun Kyung growled angrily at the ghost's words.
"I'm dressed," Taehyung's deep voice rang out. Eun Kyung turned around and smiled in satisfaction. She'd gotten lucky and her short had been a perfect fit for him, if not a little bit tight around the arms, and the boxer shorts were just right.
"Look at you, stud," Eun Kyung teased. Taehyung rolled his eyes and fingered the bright pink material that covered his naked chest.
"I could always take this back off if you're gonna make fun of me," he said matter-of-factly. Eun Kyung squeaked and shook her head.
"Don't you dare!" She exclaimed. Taehyung giggled, his boxy smile on display.
"Tae, I'm going up to the attic now. Are you coming?" Yoongi asked as he appeared in the doorway of Eun Kyung's room. His blond hair was falling into his hypnotic eyes, and Eun Kyung momentarily allowed herself to one again observe the ghost's striking appearance. He was one of the most attractive beings that Eun Kyung had ever laid her eyes on, and even though his arrogance and sarcasm annoyed her to no end, she appreciated his good looks greatly.
"Are you done staring?" Yoongi asked with a smirk that Eun Kyung was beginning to realize was his trademark. She scoffed and brushed her hair over her shoulder as she turned away from him to hide her slight blush of embarrassment.
"I'm most definitely done staring. You're dismissed," she said cockily, but Yoongi and Taehyung had already walked out and went up to the attic.
