Cole had left the Winchesters after fighting a khan worm that had killed his friend Kit. He had meant to head home, but he didn't want to go home and freak out his wife and kiddo. So he drove around aimlessly for a little while, before pulling over on the side of the road to try to get some sleep and ignore his upset stomach.

He leaned his head back, cursing under his breath as the pain in his stomach spiked a bit harder. He was half tempted to call Sam and Dean, but he didn't want to appear the wimp. He had survived war and more, he could handle a stomach ache... Couldn't he?

He looked up suddenly, hearing a buzzing on his phone. He picked it up, relieved to see Sam Winchester's name on the screen of his phone.

"Hello?" he said, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Hey, Cole, it's Sam Winchester. I was doing some research on the side effects of the Khan worm, I discovered that the liquid left behind in their host tends to make the host physically sick..." Sam explained, completely oblivious to Cole's predicament.

Cole swallowed hard, trying to fight back the sudden urge to puke. The idea of having that nasty worm inside him, was sending his stomach churning aggressively. He tried to swallow, but the bile in his stomach continued to try to rise. "S..." he slurred softly, hoping fervently the Sam heard him and understood what was going on.

Sam stopped talking when he heard the slur, making him look at Dean immediately. "Cole, where are you... We will come get you." he said immediately, taking the choice away from everyone involved.

Cole swallowed hard again, stopping the bile enough to speak. "A couple miles down the road from where I left you." he ground out painfully. He wrapped his free arm tightly around his stomach, as he tried not to groan as he felt his stomach flipping.

"Okay, we are a few miles away. Just breathe and we will be there shortly," Sam said, pointing where to go out to Dean.

"No promises, Sammy. I don't think you want to come deal with me." Cole said, trying to sound tougher than he felt. He bit back a whimper, hanging up on Sam, and thrusting his head back against the seat's head rest in discomfort. He could tell this situation was not going to end well, but he hoped he could get through it with his dignity intact. The way his stomach was flipping and his intestines were clenching, he didn't think this was going to end pretty.

He hissed softly, wincing as he gagged softly, fighting to keep his stomach contents where they were, in his stomach. He leaned forward to rest his head against the steering wheel, breathing harder as he tried to calm his insides down. He retched softly, spitting the pooling saliva in his mouth to the floor of his jeep. He'd clean it out later, but he knew if he swallowed his was screwed.

He looked up as he heard the impala pull up behind his car, he winced as he quickly put his head back down. He heard and felt someone open the door to his left, but he didn't react.

"Come on, stop acting so tough." Dean admonished firmly, not at all thrilled to be around this man again after dealing with the Khan worm inside him.

"Lay off, Dean. He is miserable enough without you making him feel worse. Now check if he has a fever, from the poison in his system." Sam said firmly, as he grabbed some stuff from the back of the impala. He grabbed a bucket for Cole, a towel for the man to sit on in case, a bottle of water since he knew Cole was probably still dehydrated, and a blanket to help the man stay warm as soon as the fever set in.

Dean reached over, touching Cole's forehead, shocked that the man didn't fight him off. The Winchester's heart jumped as he felt the heat radiating from the other man's body. "Yep, definitely has a raging fever." he yelled to Sam, causing Cole to jump and flinch at the same time. "Sorry," he added at a quieter level for Cole's sake.

Cole didn't bother to respond, he was too miserable and sick to bother saying anything. He moaned softly, dropping the facade since he had been quiet the whole time.

Sam walked over when he heard the moan, immediately putting the bucket in Cole's lap. "Talk to me, what are you feeling exactly?" ha asked gently. He could see the man was really sick, not to mention that he was trying really hard to stay in control.

"Feels like my stomach and intestines are livid. I've never felt this sick... Not since watching Dean kill my dad." Cole whispered weakly, closing his eyes to hide the bucket from view and hopefully prolong the inevitable.

Sam nodded his understanding, wishing he had some way to help Cole without him getting sick. "That's the poison caused by the secretions of the Khan Worm. The sooner you vomit, in theory, the sooner you will feel better." he explained, hoping it would be like food poisoning. Throw up the agitating contents, and one normally starts to feel better.

Cole whimpered softly in response, gagging unproductively towards the bucket. Dean jumped back in surprise, before shaking his head, and walking back to the impala. He quickly got into the car, and turned over the engine. He could see the downward spiral going on in the younger man's body.

Sam put his hand on Cole's back lightly, waiting to see if he would fight back or shove him off. When Cole didn't do either of those reactions, Sam rubbed the other man's back gently. "Easy, easy. Scoot over so I can drive us back to the motel." he suggested, hoping Cole wouldn't get offended.

Cole nodded slowly, scooting to the other seat but stopped when he saw that a towel was spread across the seat. He looked at Sam questioningly, as he didn't trust himself to speak without a reappearance of anything in his stomach.

"It's there in case, you lose control from the poison." Sam explained gently, as he slid in beside Cole.

Cole paled to almost white, as he realized what Sam meant. He moved into his seat, making sure the towel was in place, and made sure the bucket was in position. He gave Sam a shaky thumbs up, before closing his eyes and leaning forward.

Sam turned the ignition, and immediately got them back on the road. He tried to drive carefully, but knew that Cole didn't have long before his body rebelled. "We'll be at the motel really quick. Just breathe in your nose, and out your mouth." he suggested, hoping he was helping and not making matters worse.

Cole winced, groaning every time there was a bump. "M tryin." he gagged out, retching weakly and unproductively again.

Sam sighed softly, reaching over and rubbing Cole's back again. "I know, I'm sorry you are in this situation. If you need anything, tell me." he said simply, feeling really bad for Cole.

Cole started shivering weakly, as his body prepped for what was to become inevitable. "So when did you figure out this would happen?" he asked weakly.

Sam thought for a moment, before responding. "I was thinking about it when we left, but didn't put two and two together until we had gone our separate ways." he explained gently, not wanting to upset the man.

"So you've..." Cole started to ask, before lurching forward with an extremely painful retch.

Sam sighed softly, reaching over and rubbing the man's back again. "You may just want to let it out. And yes, we've encountered other versions of the khan worm." he replied, feeling how tense Cole's body was. He knew it was only a matter of time, and it wasn't going to be pretty.

"M good." Cole said firmly, denying that he was moments away from losing his dignity in front of Sam, and Dean probably. He could feel his stomach pushing upward with a vengeance, as he focused on swallowing repeatedly to try to slow it down.

Sam pulled into a motel parking lot, looking around quietly as he pulled up beside the Impala. "You good to get out and walk inside?" he asked gently, not trying to insult the man or anything.

Cole nodded very slowly, before opening his side door and sliding out gingerly. He moved with calculated precision, making sure his steps were exact as his stomach flipped with each movement. He was almost to the door, when he retched hard under his breath, and gagged up a small amount of water.

Sam moved to Cole's side, steering him into the motel room as the man gagged again, bringing up more water. "Let it out." he said gently, wanting to help in some way.

Cole looked up at Sam in a panic, his insides were on fire and his stomach was about to explode. He wanted to say something, but knew it wouldn't be pretty if he did.

Sam caught the look, steering Cole into the bathroom. "Want me to stay?" he asked uncertainly, he wasn't used to asking permission. He just made Dean deal with his presence.

Cole nodded quickly, whimpering softly as the movement jarred his body too much. "Please," he pleaded, kissing his dignity goodbye. He knew he was stronger than that, but at the moment, Sam's offer to help was exactly what he needed most.

Sam moved over to turn the shower on, therefore muffling the sounds so that Cole wouldn't feel too embarrassed. He sat down against the wall, watching as Cole debated what he wanted to do.

On the one hand, the toilet would be best since Cole knew the runs and vomiting were coming. But the shower sounded safer, and less messy for the both. He didn't even hesitate, before stripping in front of Sam and climbing into the tub.

Sam understood immediately, looking away to preserve Cole's privacy as much as he could. He pulled the shower curtain closed, before moving to sit on the toilet seat quietly.

Cole made a grunt, hoping Sam understood he was grateful for the privacy. He lurched forward, bracing himself on the walls, and gagged really hard. He brought up more of the water he had chugged after the worm, and at the same time his bowels evacuated into the tub.

Sam flinched, wondering how he could help this basically stranger. "You okay?" he asked kindly, not even showing a hint of the disgust he felt.

Cole flinched, forgetting Sam had stayed to make sure he was okay. He debated on what to say, as his bowels evacuated again and he threw up onto the tub floor. He took one look at the tub's floor and threw up again, three times back to back.

Sam flinched again, knowing what he'd do if it were Dean. He got up, grabbed the bucket from earlier, and slowly rinsed out the tub behind and in front of Cole.

Cole was too stunned to say anything, before throwing up five more times back to back. He looked down, seeing some of the green slime from the worm.

Sam didn't even flinch, just kept rinsing it away. He didn't look at Cole directly, so as not to upset him. Nor did he say anything, he was just being a silent companion.

Cole watched Sam quietly for a moment, before paling greatly and loosing control of his bowels twice back to back. "Sorry." he said softly, feeling guilty, as his bowels evacuated painfully.

Sam shook his head gently. "I knew this was going to happen, so there is nothing to apologize for. Just go if you need to go, or puke if you need to puke." he said with a shrug, looking at Cole with a brief look of firmness.

Cole sighed softly, squatting down, as his bowels evacuated painfully and loudly. He shook and shivered with the intensity of the wave, as he fought not to throw up again. He looked down as Sam washed the newest mess away, before throwing up a lot of the green slime from the worm.

"Get that green stuff out, you should feel better afterward." Sam said suddenly, after washing the puke away.

Cole nodded, realizing his stomach was starting to calm down but still hurt like heck. He shoved his fingers down his throat, keeping them their as he gagged and retched repeatedly. Finally after what felt like forever of gagging, he brought more green slime and some blood.

The whole time he was gagging himself, his bowels kept clenching and emptying in painful wave after painful wave.

Sam reached over, patting Cole's back gently not even slightly worried about the blood. "Once you are throwing up pure blood, you can stop. Your system will be mostly cleaned out." he said stiffly, watching Cole shove his fingers down his throat again.

Dean walked into the bathroom, worried about what was going on. All he saw was Cole lurch forward and puke only bright red. "Sonuva..." he gasped in shock, reaching for his phone.

Sam held out a hand to Dean, as Cole's body quieted down finally. "He's okay, he just needed to clean out his system. If he continues puking blood, then call. If not, he should be just fine." he rubbing Cole's back gently.

"I think I'm good, Sam. Thanks." Cole said hoarsely, trying to politely hint at the man to leave.

"Of course, yell if you need me." Sam said, quickly ushering Dean out and following him.

"Is it over?" Dean asked in concern. He looked towards the bathroom, hoping Cole was alright.

"Aside from a mild case of diarrhea, he should be just fine." Sam said in relief, sinking down on his and Dean's bed tiredly.

Cole walked out of the bathroom about half an hour later, looking refreshed and only slightly pale. "Thank you, Sam, for your help. Give me a call if you ever need some help." he said firmly, before shaking both their hands and leaving.

"Why didn't you insist he stay?" Dean asked after Cole had left.

Sam looked at his brother tiredly. "Because it was clear he felt well enough to leave." he said with a yawn. He curled up, falling asleep on the bed almost instantly.

Dean chuckled, shaking his head and pulled a blanket over his little brother. "Cares too much for everyone but himself. Sleep well Sammy." he said, moving over to the other bed and fell asleep.

Cole had been on the road for about two hours, only pulling over to go to the bathroom in the bushes if needed. He was relieved to arrive home, shortly after stopping for the fifth time.

He laid done in bed with his wife, immediately falling asleep. He only got up a few times to go to the bathroom. By morning he was fine, minus a slight queasiness.
