Gabriel was walking through the bunker, oohing and ahhing at everything he saw.
"This place is incredible, Sam. Its your legacy?" he asked, so stunned that so much had changed since he had supposedly died.
"A lot's changed, Gabe, but enough about that. I'm just glad you're here now. Hungry for something sweet?" Sam asked, knowing of some restaurants nearby that sold both healthy and sweet at them.
"Always," Gabriel said, a twinge of sadness in his tone.
"Stop that, no sadness. I am so happy you're here. Nothing could possibly ruin it for me." Sam said beaming at the archangel.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gabriel had eaten a full plate of pancakes smothered in three kinds of syrup, two plates of stuffed crepes, and two sundaes.
Sam had eaten his salad and sat back watching Gabriel shovel it away in shock. "Aren't you full?" he asked after all that food.
"Yep, I am now." Gabriel said, licking his lips happily, patting his bloated stomach contentedly.
"Wow, I think I would have given up after the first plate of pancakes." Sam admitted, as his phone rang suddenly. "Hello, this is Sam... Yes, we ordered the pancakes... no, we didn't order the marionberry syrup... oh okay... thanks... bye..." he said, hanging up the phone.
"What about the syrup?" Gabriel asked, noticing his stomach was starting to cramp, which was weird because normally that amount of food didn't phase him.
"The marionberry syrup was brewed wrong, and was making people sick." Sam said with a shrug, as if it was no big deal.
"Oh... um, okay." Gabriel said, a bit of panic in his voice.
"Gabriel, what's wrong?" Sam asked in concern, immediately noticing that the archangel did look a bit pale all of the sudden.
"I had the maple, strawberry, and marionberry syrups." Gabriel said, a burp erupting from deep in his belly. He groaned weakly, doubling up and over, before wrapping his arms around his stomach at the table they were sitting at.
"What?! You had the marionberry?!" Sam exclaimed in shock, grabbing his phone and researching how to treat food poisoning in archangels. "There is no information on how to help you." he said, his voice betraying his hopeless feelings and his concern.
"I'm sure you treat it like normal." Gabriel said, trying to be encouraging, as another cramp rolled through his stomach, and caused another groan. "Perhaps I should venture back to hide in the bathroom." He said, half joking, half serious.
Sam looked at Gabriel in confusion, before shaking his head. "I can keep you company, so you don't feel lonely. Being sick alone, sucks." he said simply, not wanting the angel to suffer alone.
"I have a feeling this is about to be gross, you don't have to be there." Gabriel said honestly, feeling his abdomen cramp up in warning that his bowels were growing exceedingly unhappy.
"So what?" Sam asked, folding his arms over his chest, as he got up and held his hands out to help the angel up.
Gabriel accepted Sam's hands, standing up, only to double over with a groan of pain. "Ohh I really don't feel so good." he moaned, holding onto Sam's arm tightly to stay upright.
"Come on, Mr. Sicky, let's get you to the bathroom." Sam said, leading him to the bathroom which was down the hall.
Gabriel staggered along with Sam, leaning heavily on the hunter, until he got to the bathroom where he bolted for the toilet quickly. He dropped his pants quickly, sat down hard, and grunted as his bowels evacuated long and loudly.
Sam sighed in sympathy for the angel. "You okay there?" he asked.
"No, I'm not." Gabriel said honestly, as he swiveled in his seat to face the tub, before spitting into it a few times. "I am so sorry." he apologized.
"I'll clean it up, no qualms here." Sam said kindly, even if the idea did gross him out in all honesty.
Gabriel gagged hard, vomiting into the tub with a loud splatter of liquid and chunks into the tub. He sputtered and gagged, spitting the flavor out of his mouth, which was only causing him to gag more. He gagged and retched, bringing up more and more food, seeing as he had eaten enough for a small army.
Sam got an idea, when Gabriel got a breathing break and started rinsing out the tub quickly, erasing the evidence, for both of their sakes.
Gabriel grunted his thanks, as his bowels evacuated repeatedly. He groaned, relieved it wasn't coming out both ends at the same time.
He finally stopped emptying his body, and wiped, and got up, flushed, and sat down on the floor against the tub. He rested his back against the tub, but not for long before he was hanging his head over the toilet tiredly.
"Already? Just breathe, maybe it will pass." Sam suggested gently, hoping for both their sakes that the angel was done puking.
Gabriel tried to breathe through his mouth and nose slowly, only to start dry-heaving and vomiting moments later.
"Darn it," Sam mumbled softly, rubbing Gabriel's back gently, feeling the angel's body trembling weakly beneath his hand. "You're okay." he encouraged.
"No offense, Sam, but shut up." Gabriel said breathlessly, as he stopped vomiting finally.
Sam looked at him in shock, too flabbergasted to know what to say. He snapped his mouth shut, folded his arms in annoyance, and left the room in a huff, slamming the bathroom door in his exit.
Gabriel watched in surprise, whimpering softly as his stomach cramped painfully. If he wasn't in so much pain, he would have zapped to Sam's location which he knew was in the bunker. He sighed softly, curling into a ball on the floor, as waves of chills wracked his form.
Hours later, Sam peeked into the bathroom, to see that Gabriel was curled in a ball on the floor where he had left him.
"Really? You stayed?" he asked in disbelief, looking down on the angel, as he walked in to look down at him.
Gabriel didn't even look at him, just pushed himself up on shaky arms to the toilet to hiccup repeatedly, only to bring up bile and stomach acid. He rested his head on his arm, that rested on the toilet seat, too exhausted to move.
"Come on, Gabe, let's lay you down somewhere more comfortable. Like a bed." Sam suggested gently, putting a hand on the angel's shoulder.
Gabe shook his head, as more bile and stomach acid followed by vomit poured from his lips freely.
Sam sighed softly, leaving the bathroom and returning with multiple big pillows and a couple big comforters in tow. "If you won't come to bed, the bed will come to you." he said with a big grin, setting it up in a big nest for them.
He laid down beside the sick angel, making it clear he wasn't going anywhere, and that he intended to take care of the sick archangel.
Gabriel finally laid down, curling into Sam, and fell into a restless sleep, whimpering every few minutes as his stomach cramped painfully. Thankfully it stopped after a couple hours and he was able to finally rest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sam kept close watch over Gabriel for the next two days, making sure he was well cared for, and that he wasn't alone each time he had the runs or was vomiting. In the end, Gabriel's visit wasn't horrific, and Sam was sad to see him go, but the angel promised to return again soon.
I hope you enjoyed this little fic! As always: vote, comment, and request away. Love you all! <3
