Relaxation
Crowley x Reader
Prompt: "Why did we have to have kids?"
Stretching your toes, you admired your bright red toenail polish. It was shiny, and bright and something that you hadn't had a chance to do in a long time. Your legs were bare, wearing just a pair of cutoff shorts and a tank top. The sun was shining down brightly on you, and you were hoping for your first tan of the season.
With a glass of lemonade next to you, and a book in case you wanted to read, you relaxed. Actually letting yourself relax for the first time in as long as you could remember. You could hear the sounds of your kids running around the yard, squealing and laughing. But for just a little bit, they weren't your concern.
Your husband had promised you the day to do whatever your heart desired, while he watched your two little boys for the day. It was a welcome reprieve, with him often gone for a week or two at a time. The boys had missed him, and you had too. Peeking an eye open, you smiled at the sight in front of you.
Your one boy, Alec, was currently climbing your husband like a tree, while the younger one, Brody, toddled around him, begging to be picked up. It was an adorable scene, one that many who knew your husband would never expect.
You see, your husband was Crowley, the King of Hell. He was supposed to be frightening and evil, and yet here he was. A huge smile on his face, and two little kids who had him wrapped around their finger.
Taking a sip of your lemonade, you closed your eyes, letting them enjoy time with their Dad. It was a welcome relief. Raising two young boys, who were just as much a handful as their Dad often left you with little time to yourself. Being able to sit here, and do nothing, was as much a present as anything else.
As you relaxed, you heard a thud next to you. Opening one eye, you saw Crowley sitting on the chaise lounge next to you, breathing heavily. "Why did we have to have kids?" He asked you, reaching over and grabbing your glass of lemonade, taking a drink.
"Because someone wanted to have a normal life as possible. Kids, wife, white picket fence. The whole thing. Doesn't sound like the King of Hell, does it?" You teased, watching as your sons continued to play in the grass.
"Shh, we still don't want our kids knowing exactly what Daddy does." He answered before standing up, pulling you up onto your feet, he settled back down on your lounge before pulling you down so you laid cuddled against him. "And having the whole thing. The kids, the wonderful wife who deserves so much more than I can give her. It's the best part of my life." He told you, pressing his lips to yours. "Happy Mother's Day love."
