Demons are very dangerous and once they choose you as their target they have to harm you otherwise they with turn to ash and perish. They also have destined Soulmates with whom they have to produce at least one child with otherwise they will be insane.

Being  half demon is hard because they are viewed as low and appalling to gain respect you have to either be a known killing machine or have a kid with a pure demon.
