Cutie (Cas)
For @Livi_Nightshade85
"The reader gets injured badly in a hunt and is in the hospital and Cas starts being unintentionally cute and funny when visting the reader."
Hope you enjoy!
There was too much blood for Sam and Dean to fix up on the spot. Too much pain to be dulled with aspirin.
The hunt had gone horribly wrong, and now you were on the cold dirty floor of an old warehouse while Sam and Dean tried to stop the bleeding and call you an ambulance at the same time. Your mind was clouded with pain and fear, fear for your life.
There was a blurry movement and flashing lights, and you felt yourself being lifted up. For a second you thought you might be being lifted into heaven, but the thought didn't last for long before you blacked out.

Your eyes fluttered open, the first thing you saw being a pair of bright, blue eyes and a very handsome face.
"I must be in heaven..." You mumbled, trying for a small smile despite the pain. The person in front of you backed up a little, mumbling an apology before correcting you.
"N-no... this isn't heaven. It's..." He struggled a bit before he could remember the name. "Seattle Mercy Hospital." His gruff voice and cute way of speaking immediately brought everything crashing down on you, and you felt a sudden rush of fear.
"Castiel!" You yelped, and the monitors next to you started going off like crazy.
"Yes, that is my name," He said, staring at you with confusion for only a short time before nurses came rushing in and shooing him out of the room.

"Do you need anything? Are you sure you do not want me to heal you?" Cas asked, for what seemed like the fifth time in a row. Sam and Dean sniggered from a corner and you shot them a glare, but quickly turned back to Cas.
"No, if you heal me then everyone will get suspicious as to why I got better so quickly. It might create more problems than solve," You explained, playing with your hair. Cas nodded.
"But do you need anything?"
You thought for a moment. "Maybe just company. It can get pretty lonely here," You said, casting a glance toward the window, where a bright, sunny day lay right before your eyes but far away from your grasp. Cas smiled nodded, biting his lip and looking around the room. One of the boys-you assumed was Dean-started singing a familiar song.
"____ and Ca-a-a-s, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes love-" Dean couldn't get much further before he felt a punch to the shoulder, and was being dragged out the door by Sam.
"What was he singing about? Us? K-I-S-S- oh" Cas tried to figure out what Dean had been singing about but the realisation hit him in the middle of his thoughts, and a bright blush rose to his cheeks. You giggled, receiving a confused glance from Cas which you shrugged off with a blush.
He sat down on a nearby chair, busying himself with his tie. You poured slightly, wondering if this was what it would be like if he stayed. Silence. Silence. And more silence.
"You're a really beautiful human, you know," Cas said suddenly, your head snapping toward him in surprise.
"Wha-"
"I mean, I've met a lot of humans in my time on Earth, but you are... Exquisite." You felt the familiar blush creep onto your cheeks. "Had you lived in earlier cultures, you could have definitely been sacrificed to many pagan gods," Cas added, earning a raised eyebrow from you. "I mean- I wouldn't sacrifice you- no human sacrifices- that's not- I didn't mean-" He stumbled on and on, turning your confusion into giggles.
"It's fine Cas," You said. He breathed a sigh of relief.
This would be a fun visit.

"Sir? Visiting hours are over," A nurse said, leading Cas out of the room. You smiled at him, receiving one in return, and a small message in your mind.
I love you.
