Old friends/ New enemies
Quick A/N
These one shots don't interconnect with eachother. This is basically a bunch of 'what if's' stories. Also thank you @Ashl0390 for the request! This was quite a challenge for me! Either ways now let's get into the story!

They used to be friends. Now all of that was gone. They are totally strangers now. The way he looked at him. It was wrong. He was different, he was not the same person he knew when he was a kid. The way his eyes widen in fear when he put the head down at the table. It hurts.
Austin kept remembering the night him and the true alphas ruined the dinner party. He wasn't expecting him to be there. The last time he saw him, he was completely normal. Apparently things changed for the both of them.
Austin could only pace around just thinking. This caused Ritchie to be confused and concerned. Cause Austin hardly ever thought to his knowledge. Ritchie walked up to Austin with a smile.
"What has you thinking?"
Austin didn't look at him tell Ritchie called his name once more.
"Hello? Earth to Austin?"
"Uh?"
"What's wrong with you? You've been thinking a lot lately. It's honestly freaking me out."
"Sorry that I actually think," Austin replied sassily.
"Hey, I think!"
"No you don't!"
"Yes I do!"
The bickering began and no one was there at the moment to stop them. It continued for several minutes.
"Just leave me alone!" Austin barked at Ritchie.
Austin then marched angrily away from him. Ritchie was a little taken back by this. Sure they fought a lot, but Austin never snapped at him. Now something was definitely wrong.
"Austin.... what's wrong?" Ritchie said as he walked to him.
Austin didn't respond but he did put his hands to his face. Ritchie immediately understood why Austin was like this. Sharing a soul meant no secrets apparently.
"You messed up how?"
Austin stayed quite before he spoke. "The night of the vampires and the werewolves meeting. We killed that guy, lev? No mev."
"Yeah what about it?" Ritchie asked as he started to recall that night.
"Well I saw someone I thought I would never see again..."
"Wait- you knew someone from the dinner?!" Ritchie said in total shock. "Wow you really did mess up."
Austin just looked at him before speaking. "Thanks so much for letting me know" he said sarcastically.
"Sorry, please continue."
"So when I saw him. I didn't know what to think. It was just that.... the fear in his eyes. He saw me as a monster...." Austin said dipping his head.
Ritchie didn't know what to think. Actions were the only course for him. He gave Austin a huge hug. Austin was honestly taken back by this but he soon embraced it. He was glad he had a friend like Ritchie besides him. Even though they fought like 85% of the time.

Flashback!
————————
When night came in the forest it was perfect for hunting. It was especially easy for the young pup Austin. He was learning fast to hunt for food without no adult to teach him how.
Austin was extra careful tonight though. There were hunters out in the forest. He wasn't strong enough to take out a group of hunters. So Austin stayed low and away.
His stomach growled and he whined. Maybe he wasn't going to eat tonight. The hunters most likely by now took most of the game tonight.
He hurried along a path to a cave as it started to pour. The inside of cave was mostly covered in vines. A few small cave drawings that he made when he was bored.
After a few minutes in the dark and cold. His ears perked up as he heard someone walk in. He did his best to transform into a pup and lurked to the stranger.
Most likely a hunter he thought to himself. He was ready to attack before they saw them. They froze when they saw a little boy around his age. He was fragile, timid, and he looked scared. When the boy saw him, the boy immediately took a step back.
Austin backed away almost in pain as his stomach growled. He needed to eat something. The boy somehow noticed this. He slowly reached into his bag. Austin barked at his movement.
The boy froze before he finally got what he was looking for. A wrapped piece of meat. It smelled newly hunted.
The boy threw the whole thing to Austin before he sat down at the far end if the cave. Austin still in wolf form, sniffed the meat before taking a bite out of it.
Once he devoured the whole thing he looked at the boy. Both of them were unsure what to do. Austin tried to walk closer to him but failed as the boy stiffened.
Austin backed away before he transformed back. The boy stared in amazement.
"You're a werewolf!" The boy said excitedly.
Austin nodded.
"Are there more of you?" He asked.
Austin stayed silent for a second before he shook his head. "No more of me."
"Really? I thought werewolves came in packs?" The boy said as he now scooted closer to him.
"They do, but I'm not part of one."
"Why is that? Did something happen to them?"
Austin stayed quite before the boy talked again.
"It's ok. You don't have to tell me."
Austin nodded. They both stayed in silence as the rain pour down. The boy was now doodling with some dirt and Austin watched.
"What's your name?" The boy soon asked him.
"Austin."
"That's a nice name! I'm Bryan!" The now known Bryan said.
After a few minutes of Bryan asking questions and Austin responding, the rain stopped. It looked like Bryan had to go. Before he did he hugged Austin and waved goodbye promising to come again with some food.
Once every three days, Bryan came with some food he sneaked from his house. They either always shared it or gave it all to Austin. They started to draw on the cave walls till they were no more space for more. They talked about new interesting things they always wanted to do. Sometimes they hunted together. A boy and a werewolf. Everything was perfect for 12 years. Till that one day.
Austin waited near the cave waiting for Bryan to come. After a few hours it became dark. This was unlike Bryan to come at dark. Austin started to get worried.
He soon heard commotion nearby and so he hid in a bush. He saw people, no hunters walk up to the cave followed by Bryan behind. Bryan had a bruise mark on his face. This caused Austin blood to boil.
"Where is that mutt!?" The man yelled at Bryan. Bryan only flinched. "You better tell me Bryan or-"
"Don't talk to him like that!" Austin yelled as he revealed himself.
"Austin run!" Bryan yelled before he was hold back.
The next thing Austin knew, he was being attacked by some of the hunters. Things soon became bloody for the hunters side. Austin's vision was red, he wasn't in control. All that was left was a man, Bryan and Austin. Austin at this point both sides of Austin didn't care as he killed the man. Bryan screamed as the man was struck down.
"Dad! No-no d-dad!" Bryan yelled as tears rolled down his eyes.
Austin looked at his hand before he looked at all the bloodshed that was left. He looked at Bryan and then he gasped. What did he do?
Bryan at this point was crying and saying soft apologizes like this was all his fault. Austin soon started to run away from all of it. He couldn't face Bryan again. He was a murderer.
"Austin!" Bryan yelled after him. But boy how Austin couldn't stop.

Present time
————————
Austin was still hugging Ritchie before he stood up. The memory was still fresh in his mind. It was still painful.
"So mind telling me what happened between you two?" Ritchie asked being careful not to push it.
Austin nodded before explaining the whole thing.
"Wait so let me get this straight. You and this guy, Bryan were best friend for so long. He's- well was human before this whole incident. Not only to add that until one day you killed his father i'm guessing? As well as hunters that trying to kill you? So you ran away. Now you're in shock that you saw him, he's now a werewolf, the opposing side. He sees you as a monster and you're not even sure he remembers you?" Ritchie says recapping the whole explanation. At this point I really haven't have wrote that flashback cause Ritchie summed it up for me!
It was only a simple nod and Ritchie sighed. They both stayed in silence. Ritchie was now starting to understand Austin more now. With one more reason why his life was so overly complicated.
