Season 13

(Jack can sense your pain after leaving the Apocalypse World. He ends up helping you through a tough time.)

You had grown up in a gray world, full of constant war and death with only your father and brother. Everyday, they went out to hunt; for food, angels, answers, anything. But you, being so young, were never allowed in harms way. So you stayed home every day. However, this one day was different. An enormous wave of energy surged through and shook the earth. Terrified of what the surge might've caused your only family, you left your home for the first time since the war began.

You searched high and low, dodging fireballs and avoiding other hunters. But something stopped you; in the middle of the chaos was something bright and beautiful. A long tendril of what looked like pure sunlight, it didn't even look like it belonged in your world.

"(Y/n)?!" A yell pulled you out of the daze. You whipped around to see your older brother limping your way. Your father looked as if he'd walked through hell, slumped across your brother's shoulders, unconscious. "What the hell are you doing out here?!" He yelled in fear.

"Brother, I-" before you could finish your sentence, a loud clap of thunder erupted, and the staff of light quivered. You watched as two men touched the light, and vanish; where did they go?

The next moments seemed to happen slowly. You watched a ball of fire build up in the clouds above and pummel toward you...only, it landed slightly to your right. Flames enveloped your brother and father. The explosion knocked you off your feet and sent you tumbling through the sand, ears ringing loudly.

You lifted your wet eyes to the rod of light; it was beginning to fade. So you took one last look at where your father and brother last stood, and didn't look back. You rose to your feet, vision spinning, and stumbled your way to the light. And just before it vanished, you thrust your hand into it. Pain surged through your entire body, then everything went black.

You groaned as you woke, confused. Under were you laid wasn't the sandy ground of your home, but something soft and fluffy. Slowly, it all came back to you.

"Hey, Dean," a male voice called, "I think she's waking up."

Realizing you weren't alone, your eyes shot open. "Well, it's about damn time," Dean spoke as he walked over to you.

The two brothers took their time explaining everything to you; how you'd gotten there, where you were, who they were. "But it's alright now," Sam assured you, "we're gonna take care of you."

You gave him a sincere smile, and muttered, "thank you." Then another face came into view. He was young, like you, with dark hair and concentrated eyes; he was gorgeous. "W-who are you?"

"I'm Jack," the boy, Jack, introduced himself. He took a few steps closer and sat delicately on the bed beside you, peering into your face. It was as if he were looking into your heart and soul. It was slightly uncomfortable, but the enchantment in his eyes made you feel admired.

"Alright, alright," Dean's voice brought you both back to reality, "enough of the awkward staring, let's get back on the road."

The four of you had finally gotten back to the bunker. Most of the car ride consisted of silence, and you couldn't help but notice Jack staring at you almost the whole time, the same intense look on his face.

That night, after Sam had set the two of you up with guest rooms, you sat alone on your bed. Every time you closed your eyes, you saw your family die again. A small knock on the door interrupted your thoughts, "come in."

The door opened, and in walked Jack. "Hey, Jack," you greeted with a warm smile, trying to hide your nervousness, "everything alright?"

"Hello, (y/n)," Jack began. Your name sounded so sweet on his tongue. "I wanted to talk to you; you are..very sad."

Caught off guard, you only stared at him. You watched Jack make his way over to you and sit beside you, much closer than you'd expected. "I could tell, you didn't want to talk about it earlier," Jack admitted, looking down into your eyes with concern, "so I waited."

You looked up into Jack's dark hazel eyes; clearly he had no idea what personal space was. Slowly, you began to explain. "My father and brother, they're gone," you quaked, tears beginning to brim in your eyes, "and I just, left them. I didn't even think, I just..."

A look of sorrow crossed Jack's face, then he smiled. "Well, that's okay," he assured, "they're in Heaven now; my mother is in Heaven, too."

You gave him a sad smile in return, and asked quietly, "but don't you miss her?"

"Yes," Jack replied, "I never got to meet her, but I know she was amazing. Were your father and brother good people?"

"Oh, definitely," you began with a memorable smile, "they always put me first, they'd do anything to keep me safe." For a while, Jack was able to keep you talking about all of the good times you'd had with your family. Somehow, he knew it would make you feel better. And for some reason, he became addicted to your smile. The way you laughed when telling funny stories was like a drug to him. And when you cried, he felt your pain.

"Thank you, Jack," you cooed after hours of talking, "I'm feeling a lot better now."

Jack seemed relieved at this as his wide grin glowed, "I'm so glad." He was surprised, however, when you hugged him gently. He'd never been hugged before, but it was something he quickly grew to love. But not just any hug, your hug.

He wrapped his own arms around your back, feeling it rise and fall gently as you breathed. Closing his eyes, Jack hooked his chin over your shoulder, not wanting to let go. And you felt the same way.

Eventually, the hug had come to an end. But before leaving your room, Jack planted a soft kiss on your cheek. It seemed to send an electric shock through you both, triggering a deep blush to rise to your face. And then he was gone. You both slept soundly that night, the warmth of being in each other's arms still lingering sweetly.
