Samifer

Look, if you don't like the ship, don't read it. It's simple.

-Third person POV-

The Winchester brothers were out doing their usual hunting, you know, stabbing monsters and all that. Afterwards, Dean went with Cas on some sort of "date", leaving Sam alone in the house.

Well, at least, for a little while.

Lucifer had been interested in Sam since he met him, and watches him (like a fricking Yandere) when he thinks Sam doesn't notice.

Well, Sam is alone now, so Lucifer decided to try to talk to him.

-Sam's POV-

I was alone at the hotel because Dean took his angel on a date. I was sitting on a couch, about to fall asleep, when I heard, "Hiya, Sam." from behind me.
It scared me, so I fell out of the chair.

Once I got up, I saw none other than the devil himself. "What the hell do you want?" I say. He fakes a hurt face and says, "Aww, don't be mean. I just wanted to say hello. And, you looked a little lonely, so I dropped by."

"Okay, now, why, exactly, did you want to see me? What, just to frickin' annoy me? Take my soul?" I ask, curious as to why he's here. "Cool your jets, Sam. I'm not here for anything like that. Let's just say I'm interested by you." He says back.

"Interested by me? How? Why?" I say back. He rolls his eyes, but he's kind of smiling. "Why so many questions? Fine, I'll answer them. 1. How? You're an interesting guy, Sam. And 2. Why, you ask?" He shrugs before continuing, "Well, I like you, simply put."

I was taken aback. "Like me? In what way? Because-" I was cut off.

-Lucifer's POV-

Jeez, Sam really has a lot to ask. I get it, 'I'm the devil', 'I'm a bad guy'. But I mean, come on.

"As in, I'm not afraid to date someone like your brother way. Any more questions?" I say. Somehow, I'm not annoyed. If it were anyone else, I'd have already smitten them by now.

"Yeah, actually. Aren't you supposed to be, like, my enemy? You know, the one I'm supposed to hate?" he says. "Sam, have you ever stopped to consider that I'm not a bad guy? That maybe, just maybe, you have me all wrong?" it's very uncommon for me to feel upset.

He looks at me with an unreadable expression and says, "Then tell me what you want. Tell me how I should see you, Lucifer." he said my name. Sam has never said my name to me like that. It made me feel happy before I answered him.
"I never wanted people to fight, Sam. I'm not the evil man people make me out to be. The only reason I was cast from heaven was because I wanted a change of pace. I thought the rules up there were unfair, so I suggested new ones. Then, God cast me out."

He looks doubtful, and if I wasn't an angel, I would have thought he was angry with me. But his soul was saying that he felt bad.

"I used to be an angel, too. The most beautiful one; the angel of light. I was the first archangel. I'm not a demon, Sam. I don't want your soul, I want you." I say before hopping off the counter I was sitting on.
I walk over to Sam and he says, "Do... Well... Did your wings change when you were cast from heaven?" he says. "My wings...? Why do you care about those things?" I ask. No one ever says anything about my wings anymore; they assume they're ugly like a demon's.

"What, I can't like angel wings?" he says. "No, that's not what I'm saying, it's just... My wings are the only part of me I could ever let you see without killing you. Basically, you'd be seeing me, not the vessel I'm in." I reply.
He ponders and says, "I can't believe I'm asking this, but... Can I... Can I see them? I want to know what they look like." I pause for a minute, but eventually let my wings be seen on this plane.

-Sam's POV-

Lucifer doesn't say anything at first, but then I see his wings appear behind him.
They're not what I expected, but they were beautiful. I stared in awe at them. They were dark red with a gradient of black at the bottom, but they shone like a dim light.

"Did they always look like this?" I ask him. He shakes his head and says, "No, they used to be pure white with golden ends. The more people started seeing me as a bad guy, the more my wings changed. Also because of being locked in hell."
I think for a minute and then say, "How come I've never seen any other angel's wings?" He looks at me like I should know the answer. "You don't know? It's because it's a major taboo up in la-la land. An angel is only to show their wings to a mate. But I don't care for two reasons: one, I'm not seen as an angel anymore, and two, I see you as mine."

Is Lucifer really trying to say he loves me? I don't know how to feel about this...
"Uh, can I touch them?" I say to try to take my mind off of it for now.

-Lucifer's POV-

I can tell Sam is embarrassed, meaning there's a chance he likes me back. He asks to touch my wings, and I pause.

"I-i mean, sure, if you want. Just... Keep on mind I haven't been able to tend to them for a while..." I say. He then says, "Well, then, can I fix them? Let me just go get some soap water and-" "No!! I mean, not if you don't want to, Sam. I mean, it'd not something I usually let people do... But that's because I haven't been around people for thousands of years..." Oh, great. I started rambling.

"Well, I kinda want to. It'll be interesting for me, and probably relieving for you. I'll be right back." he says and heads into the bathroom. He's right, it probably will feel like I just took a shower after not taking one for weeks. That doesn't make me less embarrassed, though.

He comes back with a towel and a bucket of soap water, and says, "So, you gonna let me do this?" I hesitate, and eventually I say, "Sam, I hope you know this is about as embarrassing for me as it would be if I were washing you in the shower..." I can tell my face is red.
I even see Sam's cheeks turn pink and he says, "You... You're serious?" I nod and he just says, "Okay, well... I'll... Try not to make this any more awkward..." And then starts washing off all the dirt and ash off my wings.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this. Eventually, he got to the point where all he was doing was straightening out some of my twisted feathers.

"Aaaaaaaand done. Feel better now?" He says. I nod and he smiles. "Good. I never thought I'd be helping Lucifer groom his wings, but I guess here I am." he says while laughing.
"Sam, how would you feel being around me more often?" I say. He turns around and smiles, saying, "Is that your way of asking me out?" I nod slightly and say "Maybe..." He rolls his eyes and walks over to me.

Yeah, why not? You're not a bad guy like everyone seems to think." I smile and say, "And I'll try not to be."
