Lucifer- Parade
You were such a good girl. You always did your work, always paid your taxes, always listened and smiled. You were happy, you had a good, quiet life, you worked at a little coffee shop. You gave the elderly, which you knew didn't have a lot of money, free food sometimes and paid for it yourself. You knew everyone but not everyone knew you.
When did it all change?
Well, you were at the park, just enjoying some peace and quiet, when a handsome man sat down beside you. He had perfectly tousled blonde hair and blue eyes. He was tall and had big shoulders. Being honest, he was your type. You looked over and smiled. "Hey," you said.
He looked over to you with a deadpan look. "Hey," he replied gruffly.
You were a little spooked by the intense tone of his voice but brushed it off. "You just move here? I've never seen you before," you asked, trying to make small talk.
"Yeah," he said.
"Oh cool. My name's y/n l/n, what's your's?" You asked.
"Lucifer," he said. You wanted to be scared, you knew that name, but growing up atheist you didn't give a crap really.
"That's a nice name. Lucifer, rolls right off the tongue," you smiled at him. "You look a little rough." You motioned to his slightly outgrown scruff and dirt on his face.
"Life's been kind of rough to me," he said.
"Oh? How so, if I may ask?" You asked softly.
"No, you may not, now stop talking to me will you?" He asked harshly. You nodded and went back to your book, not even fazed. Why should it hurt you? You just met him.
After a long pause, he said a soft, "I'm sorry."
You nodded. "It's okay, I shouldn't have questioned you like that," you replied.
"Well, I shouldn't have snapped. Like you said, I'm a little rough," he chuckled.
You smiled softly and nodded. "You wanna take this inside? It's cold enough to snow out here," you asked with a small smile. Lucifer nodded.
"My bad, temperatures don't really bug me," he said. You two walked into your coffee shop and you sat down at a booth near a vent that was blasting hot air.
"These are always the warmest or coolest seats," you smiled. Lucifer nodded and looked around, examining the place. "It's not much, but we get some good customers. It's a friendly place," you explained.
"Feels like it," he said. Then he tensed and untensed. "I forgot, I gotta go," he said in a rushed tone.
"Is everything alright?" You asked.
"Yeah, just meet me here Saturday at noon," he said before walking out quickly. His strides were so long he probably only took five steps for him to get out of the door.
"He was in a hurry," said your friend.
You let out a soft sigh. "Yeah, but he seems okay," you said.
"You just said that because he's got a nice butt," (he/she) chuckled.
"No!"

Saturday around noon you had gotten off work and was waiting for Lucifer. At exactly noon he opened the door to the shop, walking in and sitting down in front of you. You smiled and slipped your phone, which you had been playing with, in your pocket.
"Hey Lucifer," you smiled.
He returned it with a small one. "Hello y/n. Nice to know you came," he said.
"I made a promise to be here. I don't break promises dude," you chuckled. He smiled at you.
"That's adorable," he said, obviously trying to tease you. You rolled your eyes playfully.
"Do you like to read?" You asked, coming up with a way to spend your time.
Lucifer nodded. "Of course. What kind of uncultured swine doesn't like to read?" He asked.
"Exactly! Well, there's a library down the street if you wanna go there and read for a while. We're closing up shop early for the parade," you explained.
"Parade?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow at you.
"Yeah. Every year we have a little Christmas parade. It's mostly for the kids. You know, Santa on his sleigh, some good hearted middle schoolers dressed up as elves for the little kids and handing out candy, the dogs with reindeer ears. It's cute, and a lot of the coworkers go for their kids. I just go to go," you explained.
"So you'd skip out on that parade to spend time with me?" He asked, seemingly shocked.
You smiled softly. "You don't seem to have a lot of friends, Lucifer. I don't mind. I go every year, they can survive without me for a year," you chuckled.
The handsome man gave you a small smile. "I could never do that," he said. "We can just meet up another time," he added.
"Or we can go to the parade together. Come on, you would be a good nutcracker," you joked, punching his chest playfully.
He laughed softly. "I think I'll just watch," he smiled. You grinned.
"Awesome!"
~~~~~
You and Lucifer met up at the parade. You were bundled up in a warm winter coat and a long sleeve hoodie underneath to fight the cold snow, while he just wore his white tee and leather jacket.
You looked at him like he grew two heads. "Aren't you cold?" you asked. He shrugged.
"No, not really. Like I said: I don't really feel temperatures," he said.
You scoffed. "You're like Elsa," you joked. He snickered a little.
Then the parade started. You knew because a bunch of preschoolers started laughing and cheering and waving at the middle schoolers that were 'elves'. They more so did it for service hours and to hang out with friends, but they were there none-the-less.
Lucifer rested his hand on the small of your back as you leaned over the fence to look at the kid's faces. He was making sure you kept your balance. You got a high five from some of the middle schoolers. "Hi Miss y/n!" They cheered happily.
One, who you recognized as Sarah, giggled at Lucifer. "Miss y/n's got a boyfriend! Ooooooh!" She joked. All the kid's laughed and, you, being in good spirit, laughed with them. You could hear Lucifer chuckle softly. Then one of the kids didn't let go of your hand on accident and you almost fell over the railing, but Lucifer grabbed your belt loop and pulled you to his chest, almost out of instinct.
"My bad," he said, letting go of your waist. You could've sworn his cheeks flushed a little.
You patted his chest and blushed as well. "Nice catch," you added before turning back to the parade.
Eventually, you started to get cold and moved back into Lucifer's chest, not realizing you did it. Lucifer tensed for a second before wrapping his arms around you and hugging you close.
You and Lucifer started having a lot more coffee dates.
