I let out a groan as I tossed and turned in bed. It had been a week since we stopped Metatron and heaven had been crazy, keeping my best friend away. At first it didn't bother me because I would normally stay awake having a move marathon, but now that I was missing sleep I wished he was here.

"Gadreel..... please hurry back... I really miss you." I prayed as I tried to get some sleep.

After a hour of no sleep I set up and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a glass of milk and warmed it up before drinking it.

"Can't sleep?" Sam asked as he leaned against the door frame.

"Nope.... Gadreel should be home, but heaven is crazy and they need his help in fixing it."

"Let me guess you can't sleep without him beside you."

"Nope.... something about being in his arms calms me.... I don't know what it is though. I mean we are just friends and.... I shouldn't miss him so much." I said with a groan.

"Maybe you miss him so much, because you know you aren't just friends.... (Y/n), no one misses their friend as much as you miss Gadreel."

"I miss you and Dean all the time."

"You never loss sleep because of us." He said as he turned and walked out of the kitchen.

"Sometimes I really hate you!" I yelled as I heard him let out a laugh.

I let out a groan as I stomped to my room and plopped down on the bed. I let out a muffled scream and hit my head on the pillow.

"Gadreel...... I really miss you.... and I don't know if you can hear me, but I wish you were here... I can't sleep without knowing you are okay." I prayed as I felt tears stream down my face.

The next morning I walked into the kitchen to see Sam and Dean talking.

"Another sleepless night?" Dean asked calmly.

I nodded my head and plopped down in a chair and laid my head on the table.

"If Gadreel doesn't get back here soon I'm going to die from exhaustion."

"You ever gonna tell him you love him?" Dean asked calmly.

"I don't- oh my god..... I'm in love with Gadreel!" I gasped out.

"Are you just now realizing this?" Sam asked with a laugh.

"That's why I miss him so much! That's why I can't sleep without him beside me! That's why I swoon every time I hear his voice or he looks at me! Oh my God! How am I just realizing this!"

"She is going crazy." Dean said calmly.

"Of course I am! I've went a week without sleep!" I growled out.

"I could knock you out."

"Dean...."

"What! She needs sleep so if I knock her out she will be a sleep."

"Asshole." I said as I stood up.

I walked to my room and plopped down on the bed.

"Gadreel.... I love you." I prayed as I tried to fall asleep.

I heard the flutter of wings and I looked up to see Gadreel.

"I heard your prayer." He said softly.

"What took you so long you dick with wings?" I groaned out.

"They needed my help... did you mean what you said?" He asked softly.

I looked up at him and then laid my head on my pillow.

"After I get at least two hours of sleep we will talk about what I said... I'm not in a clear mind right now." I said as I made grabby hands at him.

He let out a chuckle and set down beside me. I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his chest and closed my eyes, within seconds I was out. The next morning I woke up to someone running fingers through my hair, I smiled as I snuggled into his chest more and let out a sigh.

"Are you in clear mind now?" Gadreel asked softly.

"Yes.... I meant what I said." I said softly.

"Good.... I love you too." He said with a smile.

I looked up at him and smiled as I leaned up and gently kissed him.

"What was that?" He asked softly.

"A kiss... it's to show affection."

"Can we... do it again?"

I smiled as I leaned up and gently kissed him again.
