You've hunted with Sam and Dean for years. Ever since you first discovered the supernatural, you and the boys have been inseparable. They've become your best friends, and you are their closest confidant.

Being so close can be difficult though. Sometimes, you need to release your emotions and you don't want them to find out. You've taken up an interesting hobby to help with that.

You write songs in a small leather journal when no one is looking. They are rich and full of your unspoken emotion, whether is be sadness, joy, or even hate. Hate for the monsters of the world.

Sometimes, your songs focus on fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of loneliness, fear of failure.

You never let the Winchesters see your songs, and they don't even know about them.

Tonight, you're writing in your song journal, a new one that you came up with earlier today. Pencil scratches on paper as you thoughtfully compose the lyrics.

The door opens and two flannel-clad brothers lumber into the motel room.

"Hey, Y/n, what're you doing?" Sam questions, setting his computer on the table.

You slam the book shut, "Nothing."

Dean lunges towards you, trying to snatch it away. You dodge his attack and leap off the bed. You continue trying to evade him, but he catches you eventually and tears the book away.

"Dean! Please don't!" You beg, horrified that he'll open it and start reading.

He stops and looks at you. He can tell by your voice that this is serious and he's crossing the line. The smirk falls from his face, "Why?"

"It's private. Those are my private thoughts, and I want to keep it that way. So please, give it back."

He hands it back and raises his hands, "Alright, sorry."

You hug it close before tucking it under your pillow.

"Better get some sleep, big hunt tomorrow," Sam breaks the silence.

You nod and close your eyes, hand on your precious journal.

~

The hunt turned out to be fairly easy. A few vamps were snacking on some people, but now their heads have been removed from their stupid vampire bodies.

So, in celebration, you and the boys decide to head to the nearest bar.

You weren't dressed up fancy, wearing jeans, a tank top, and a f/c flannel. Sam and Dean are also donning flannel.

"Good job on the hunt, guys," you say, sitting beside Sam in a booth. You took the outside spot so that you could better observe the bar.

You instantly spot two men at the counter, one blonde and the other with longer brown hair. They're both handsome, but you have eyes on the blonde.

He's muscular and wears a leather jacket.

"Yeah, great team work," Dean's voice brings you out of your daydream.

You stand up, "I'm gonna get us drinks. The usual?"

They nod as you saunter to the bar. You lean against it and wait for the bartender to notice. The brown-haired man elbows his neighbour, looking pointedly at you.

"Sorry, I hope I'm not intruding," you smile at them.

The blonde returns the smile, "You're not intruding at all."

The bartender asks you what you want, so you order three beers, before turning back to the men.

"You here alone?" The brown-haired man asks.

"No, I'm with my friends," you nod towards the Winchesters.

"I'm Bucky," he introduces, "And this is Steve."

"Hi," Steve greets.

"I'm Y/n, pleased to meet you."

You get your drinks and head back to the table, but not before smiling at Steve again.

After around thirty minutes, Steve walks up to your table, looking nervous.

Dean turns to him in an intimidating fashion, "Can we help you?"

You shoot Dean a glare, "Dean, be nice. This is Steve. Steve, this is Sam and Dean."

Steve nods at them before turning back to you, "I, um, I was, uh, wondering if I could maybe get your number?"

You grin, "Sure." Grabbing a pen from your purse, you write your number on the napkin and hand it to him, "Here you go."

He smiles, "Thanks, have a good night."

"You too," you bid him farewell as he leaves with his friend.

~

He phoned you the next day, and asked you out.

The first date was amazing. He took you to a nice restaurant and then walked you back to the motel.

The second and third dates were just as magical.

Now, months have passed and you're on your way to meet your boyfriend at his apartment. You rap on the door before entering.

Shocked, you drop your bag as you come face-to-face with Steve. Only he's dressed as Captain America. The actual Captain America is standing right in front of you.

He looks at you, equally startled. "Y/n, I can explain-"

With an excited squad, you leap into his arms. Even though he's surprised, he catches you without a problem.

"Oh my gosh! You're Captain America!"

"Wait, you're not mad?"

"Why would I be mad? You're a superhero!"

"But I didn't tell you."

You laugh, "It's okay to have some secrets, Steve, I understand that. You would have told me eventually anyways, right?"

He nods, still surprised at your reaction.

"I'm gonna go get changed, okay?"

"Sure," you say, getting settled on the couch. Pulling out your journal, you continue writing a song. It's about Steve.

He finishes and then pops some popcorn. Sitting down beside you, he looks to the journal, "What's that?"

"Oh, nothing. What movie do you wanna watch?"

He doesn't say anything more about the journal.

~

A few days have passed, and now you're showering back at the motel room. Dean takes advantage of this, and sneakily starts to examine your song journal.

When you exit, you spot him reading the latest pages.

"Dean, what the heck!" You shout, angry. "You had no right!"

"I know, but listen, these are really great, Y/n. Like, wow!"

You pause. You had expected him to laugh and mock them, but he didn't.

"I'm guessing this last one's about Steve?" He asks.

You nod, uncertain.

"Jeez, you should sing it to him. It's awesome."

Thinking about what he said, you decide that he's not wrong. Maybe you should sing it to him.

~

You invited Steve, Sam, and Dean to the bar the next day.

Getting onstage, you clear your throat before saying, "This is for Steve Rogers."

Then, you proceed to sing the song you wrote about him. When you finish, everyone in the bar claps wildly.

You walk to Steve, blushing a bit from the attention.

"That was amazing, Y/n!" He states as you stand in front of him.

You smile, "Thanks, Steve. I'm glad you liked it."

Before you can say anything else, he takes you into his arms and kisses you.
