You don't exactly know why you're in Heaven's prison. You weren't given a trial or anything, they just threw you in here and left you to rot. The only time they remember you is when it's time for your weekly sessions of torture. You've tried to beg and plead for your release, but your pleas seem to fall on deaf ears.

The sound of footfalls alerts you to the arrival of three people. By the sounds of it, the two regular guards and a newcomer who's being dragged by them.

They open the door of the cell next to yours and throw the new prisoner into it. Then, they walk away.

You wait a few seconds before tentatively calling out, "Hello?"

Silence is your response. You shrug and go back to counting the stones of the prison cell. It is quite a time before you hear the man speak.

"Y/n?" He asks, a tinge of hope in his raw voice.

Your ears perk at the sound of your name. You haven't heard it in years. "Yes. Who are you?"

"It's me, Gadreel," the man says.

Gasping, you walk to the cell bars and try to see into the neighbouring cell. He also stands by the bars of his cell, so that you can see a part of his face.

"Gadreel? It's been so long!" You cry out in happiness.

You had been the closest friends before you were taken away. You had given up hope of ever seeing him again and now he's here.

"It has. Y/n, I thought you were dead." He says, reaching through the bars to grasp at your hand.

It's the first contact you've had in many years that is soft and gentle instead of bruising and painful.

Tears pour down your face as you clasp his hand, "I didn't know if I'd ever see you again."

"I'm here now, it's okay," he comforts.

You ask, "Why are you here?"

He pauses before he explains how he was supposed to guard the Garden of Eden and how he let Lucifer in. You shake your head and try to tell him that it's okay, that everyone makes mistakes.

"At least we have each other again," you say with a smile.

He squeezes your hand, "Yes, I'm glad we do."

Weeks pass, and life is much better with Gadreel by your side, even if a wall separates you. The beatings don't lessen, but the emotional pain of being alone dissipates. Of course, now you must hear the same guard that tortures you torture the angel you love.

Years go by with the same routine of torture and imprisonment, but now it is more bearable. Though, you long to be back in his arms, surrounded by his warmth and his heavenly wings.

More years pass, and your bond grows with the more time you spend talking to him.

Until one day everything changes.

And suddenly, you're falling.

You burn as you fall to earth, the pain causing you to scream in pain. The one thought in your head is this: Will I ever see him again?

~

You came to confused, lost, and scared. You've never been to earth before, so this experience is entirely new to you.

Gadreel, you pray over the angel radio, Gadreel, where are you?

No response comes your way, but other angels chatter, just as confused as you. You know one thing for certain, you need a vessel. So, you go out to find one and eventually you do.

Then you begin looking for him. Before you can though, you hear someone praying for any angel to come to Dean Winchester and heal his brother.

Since you heard it, you think that Gadreel could've heard the call, so you hop onto a bus to find this Dean.

When you arrive, you see someone getting out of a different bus. Your eyes meet, and you recognize the essence of Gadreel.

"Gadreel! I was scared that I wouldn't find you!" You call out and run to him.

Now that there are no walls between you, you can finally wrap your arms around him, something that you've been waiting for millennium to do.

He embraces you tightly, "Y/n, I'll never leave you again. I swear."

"I won't leave you either. I love you Gadreel," you confess as you embrace him.

He smiles and holds you closer, "I love you too, Y/n."
