Imagine: Being in a friends with benefits relationship with Asmodeus.

You smiled to yourself as you opened the letter that you received. You unfolded the paper inside and read the letter to yourself. It read:

Darling Y/N,

I hope this letter finds you well. I've been stuck in Hell all week, waiting for a moment to escape and come see you. Tonight might be the only night I have. Meet me? Midnight at the Bluebird.

Asmodeus

You closed the note as you looked at the time. It was one o'clock in the afternoon so you had plenty of time before you met up with Asmodeus. You were a demon, like Asmodeus, but you did mostly fieldwork - making deals and such. Meanwhile, Asmodeus was currently leading Hell in the absence of both the King, Crowley and the devil himself, Lucifer.

You and Asmodeus met while he was in hiding. He was the last Knight of Hell alive and he wanted to keep it that way. So, he hid on Earth. You ran into him one time when you were making a deal at the Bluebird Diner in Iowa. The man you were supposed to be making a deal with was a sorry excuse for a life.

He was a criminal, and a bad one at that. He liked to pull off petty theft and vandalism. He had decided to expand his job, however, to other crimes. He ended up trying to break and enter the house of a rich family.

What he didn't realize, or bothered to notice per se, was that the family was still inside the house because he did it in the middle of the night. His goal was to escape unnoticed, but he was a clutz and ended up knocking stuff over. The father of the family immediately came down with a gun in his hand.

The man got the jump on him though and wrestled the gun away from him. He panicked and shot the father and with his mind clouded with thoughts of jail, he then proceeded to kill the rest of the family, not wanting any witnesses.

His DNA was left all over the crime scene though and the cops were able to pin the murders to him. He had come to you at the crossroads to make the deal, but told you it was too out in the open and that he thought it would be a better idea to meet at a diner where there would be other people to blend in with.

You thought it was a horrible idea because his photo was all over the news and you believed that he would be caught, but you didn't argue. After all, it wasn't your life. So you decided to make an exception just this once and met up with him at the diner.

When he told you everything that happened, you just felt bad for this man. He wasn't asking for a rich life or for the police to stop chasing him. No, he asked for you to change his identity. He believed that if you changed his name and other demographics that everything would be fine. You almost wanted to facepalm in front of him, but you resisted.

You offered to change his look so that the cops couldn't find him, but he refused because he liked the way he looked. You decided not to press the issue and sealed the deal. You handed him an ID with a fake name, address, etc. on it and explained that his birth certificate and social security number would all be changed for him as well.

He was so thankful, he practically left the diner singing. You let out a groan after he left, thankful you didn't have to work with him anymore as you approached the counter at the diner. "Rough deal?" a voice with a thick accent asked from beside you.

You turned and saw a man sitting there with dark hair, dark eyes, and a beard. He was wearing an all-white suit which was a little out of place for the small diner, but it looked great on him. You had to admit he was quite attractive. You weren't afraid to talk about the deal you had made, because you could tell the man was a demon - you just didn't know how powerful he was.

"You could say that," you responded, looking out the window of the diner to see the man still celebrating. "Not that I'm complaining, but he's an idiot for making that deal. Once the cops see that the identity of the man that they've been looking for was completely erased from all databases, they're going to immediately think that he got a fake identity and they'll find him within a couple of months," you explained.

The man laughed and said, "Well, we can't all be Einsteins." You laughed at his joke and you said, "I'm Y/N." "Asmodeus," he replied with a small smile. You felt your heart stop when he said that. "Asmodeus...as in the Knight of Hell?" you asked, almost fearful of him, or rather the power he possessed.

"Shh," Asmodeus told you, looking deeply into your eyes. You heard rumors that Asmodeus had been hiding from Hell, not wanting to be discovered until he was ready. But, you always thought they were just rumors and that Asmodeus was actually dead.

You and Asmodeus continued chatting at the bar for another hour and you enjoyed getting to know more about him. Not only were you having a conversation with an incredibly attractive man, but you were also learning all about the intriguing life that he had.

After the time had passed, Asmodeus asked you to get dinner with him, but you told him that you didn't date other demons. He agreed with you and said that he didn't either, he just didn't have any else to talk to.

You agreed to go to dinner with him then, with both of you making the point that it was just a "friend" dinner. You didn't date demons because it always ended badly and he didn't date demons because he was afraid they would expose his location if he got too close to them.

So, the two of you agreed to just stay friends. But, after the first dinner, it was clear that the two of you were physically attracted to each other and you ended up sleeping together. Afterward, you promised each other it wouldn't happen again. But, when he ran into you while you were making another deal, he couldn't resist himself, and that night ended the same way as the first.

Asmodeus decided to lay down some ground rules. He wanted to keep seeing you but he made it clear that it was an absolute must to not let feelings get involved. He explained that what you had for each other was just physical attraction and nothing more. You agreed with him and that's how your "relationship" with him began.

It started off with the two of you seeing each other every month, but the more the two of you got together, the more time you wanted to spend with each other. So, you began seeing each other every week.

But, now, it had been about two weeks since you had seen Asmodeus. In the time that you had gotten together, he had gone back to Hell to rule it since the demons currently needed a leader. Ever since he returned to Hell, he hasn't had much time for you.

Normally, you would just brush it off, but not seeing him as often gave you some time to think, and you realized that you did have feelings for Asmodeus. You didn't know when they developed or how deep they ran, but they were there. You knew that you couldn't just keep pretending to be okay with a "no-strings-attached" relationship.

But, you were embarrassed about your feelings for Asmodeus. You were a demon, you weren't supposed to have these kinds of feelings anymore. So, you decided that when you saw Asmodeus tonight, you were going to end things with him. It would be a clean break for both of you.

You spent the rest of the day contemplating how exactly you were going to tell him that it was over between the two of you. You weren't sure what excuse you should use and when you saw that it was time to meet up with him you got nervous because you still hadn't figured out a plan.

You let out a sigh as you went to the Bluebird Diner. Asmodeus was standing there waiting for you with flowers and you couldn't help but smile. You approached Asmodeus and he kissed your cheek as he offered you the flowers. "Shall we?" he offered, motioning inside. You nodded your head and the two of you made your way inside. Asmodeus had them hold a table for the two of you, so you were able to sit down right away.

The two of you started with small talk. He told you all about his adventures of ruling Hell while you told him the crazy deals people had been making with you lately. Asmodeus found it entertaining and the two of you were having a great night, laughing the whole time.

That was the problem, you felt like you could be so open with Asmodeus and just have a great time. It was painful to think that you weren't going to see Asmodeus anymore, but it was more painful to pretend like you had no feelings for him.

"Y/N?" Asmodeus asked, noticing that you were zoning out in your own little world. You quickly snapped your attention back to Asmodeus and he asked, "Is everything all right?" "We have to stop seeing each other," you blurted out.

Both of you looked at each other in silence. He was taken aback by your words while you were confused why you just blurted it out. In all the plans you made to tell him that you had to stop seeing him, that was never one you planned for.

After another moment of silence, Asmodeus asked, "Why?" You let out a sigh as you did your best to come up with any excuse to tell him. "There's someone else," you told him. You wanted to slap yourself in the face for saying that. You could tell by the smirk on Asmodeus' face that he read right through you and you wanted to jump straight back into Hell and never come out.

"Come on, Y/N. There's not someone else, what's really going on?" he asked, now a little concerned. A blush coated your cheeks as you refused to make eye contact with him and muttered, "I have feelings for you."

Asmodeus was silent again forcing you to look into his eyes to make sure that he heard you. "I thought we said that we wouldn't get feelings involved," Asmodeus told you. "I know! But, I can't help how I feel. That's why we have to stop seeing each other. We should just go our separate ways. I can deal with getting over my feelings," you replied.

Asmodeus hesitated for a second before telling you, "I don't know if I would be able to get over mine." Your eyes widened in shock at his words as he leaned forward and pulled you into a kiss. You immediately kissed back, running your fingers through his hair.

When he pulled away he rested his forehead against yours for a moment before leaning back. "What a tricky situation we've got ourselves into, huh?" he asked, making you chuckle a little. You nodded in agreement. "So, let's say we keep seeing each other, with feelings involved. It doesn't change anything, right?" he questioned, waiting for your reaction.

"Yeah, everything will stay the same...just don't get all soft on me and ask me to marry you," you told him. He laughed and responded, "I promise." You smiled in response and pulled him into a kiss.

That may have been the only lie Asmodeus ever told you, because he did in fact ask you to marry him later, and you said yes. The two of you got married and ruled Hell side by side, happier than ever.
