Imagine: You and the Winchesters go on a hunt for a witch. Dean gets cursed by the witch to have nightmares. He hides it from everyone, but he can't hide it from you when you hear him crying one night.

"Witch-killing bullets?" Dean asked out loud. "I got it," you replied, placing the bullets in your gun and handing Dean an extra magazine. "That's why you're the best," Dean told you, placing a kiss on your lips. You smiled in return before moving towards some other hunting gear.

You and the Winchesters were currently packing gear to go hunt a witch down in Alabama. You had found an article about some unexplained deaths that were happening in a small town. Upon further research, you discovered that the only explanation was a witch.

"Just make sure you stay safe," Dean told you. Every time you went on a hunt with the Winchesters, Dean said something about making sure you stay safe. You and Dean had been dating for about five months now. You had first met him when he came to get Sam from college right before Jess died. You were Sam's best friend in college.

You never thought you were going to see Sam again after Jess died until you found that a spirit had been haunting your apartment. You didn't know what to do so you called Sam and asked for help, remembering that he once told you that he liked researching the supernatural.

He showed up a few days later with Dean and they helped you get rid of the spirit. Watching them take care of the spirit got you interested in the supernatural. You began researching and hunting on your own. Sam had no idea until he ran into you one time while you were hunting. Since you were like family to Sam he refused to let you hunt on your own because he was afraid something bad might happen to you.

So, you began hunting with the Winchesters. You and Dean didn't hit it off right away. You thought that he was just an overconfident manwhore. But, the more you got to know Dean, the better the two of you got along, and eventually, you started dating.

Sam didn't approve of the idea at first, thinking Dean was just playing you. He didn't want to lose his best friend. But, once he saw how happy the two of you were together, he loved the idea. He believed Dean had finally found someone that could make him happy.

You didn't go on every hunt with the Winchesters. Despite your protests, Dean didn't let you go on the very dangerous ones, and Sam agreed with his brothers. So two on one meant you had to stay home and watch Netflix instead of hunt, but the hunts that you did go on with the Winchesters, you loved.

However, even though Dean knew you could handle yourself, he always kept a close eye on you, making sure that you were always within an arm's reach of him in case anything bad happened. You loved how protective Dean was of you, but likewise, you were always doing your best to make sure he didn't run into any trouble.

It didn't take long for the three of you to reach the house that the witch was supposedly hiding in. The three of you decided to stick together, a bit concerned with how powerful the witch might be.

The second Dean broke down the door, you and Sam were immediately blasted back. You hit your head on the porch and heard Dean pop off a couple of shots. You did your best to get up but you were lightheaded from hitting your head. Sam quickly ran to you and helped you stand up before the two of you rushed inside.

Dean was on his knees on the ground, looking down, and the witch was next to him on the ground, dead. You quickly moved to kneel down in front of Dean. You placed your hands on his cheeks and tilted his head up to look at you.

"Are you okay?" you asked him. Dean seemed to be in a trance but quickly snapped out of it when you started talking to him. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied. "Are you sure?" you questioned, still not sure. "Yeah, I promise," Dean told you, giving you a smile. He then got up to his feet and helped you stand up as well.

He interlaced his fingers with yours and led you back to the Impala while Sam took care of the body. Dean saw the look of worry on your face and asked, "What's wrong?" "I'm just worried about you, that's all," you replied.

Dean pulled you into a hug and placed a kiss on your head telling you, "I'm fine, I promise." You decided to just trust Dean and not push him. The three of you headed to a motel for the night, deciding to drive back to the Bunker tomorrow. You were so tired that you immediately crashed when you got to the motel.

You were fast asleep the whole night so you missed Dean waking up in the middle of the night, having had one of the worst nightmares. He sat

up suddenly, trying to grasp onto reality and get out of the dream he just had.

He wanted to wake you up and hug you - anything to make him feel better about what he just saw. But, he felt embarrassed. He felt like waking you up would mean that he was weak. After all, how was he supposed to protect you if he couldn't even handle a nightmare?

He decided to just go back to sleep in the hopes that it was a one-time thing. But, it was not a one-time thing. Every time he closed his eyes he had horrible nightmares about you or Sam or Cas dying. He tried to figure out why he just suddenly started having these dreams and realized that the witch had cursed him.

He did his best to hide the nightmares from everybody, but you could tell something was up with Dean. He had heavy bags under his eyes and no energy for anything due to lack of sleep. You tried to ask him about it, but he would always just tell you everything was fine.

But, one night, Dean had no choice but to tell you the truth. You were sleeping next to Dean when you heard him begin crying. You quickly got up and asked, "Dean? What's wrong?" When he didn't respond, you realized that he was sleeping. He began yelling, "No!" in his sleep so you decided to wake him up.

You gently shook him and he jolted awake, tears streaming down his face. "Dean?" you asked softly. Dean's facial features softened as he looked at you sitting up next to him. You rubbed his back gently to comfort him as a few more tears fell down his cheeks.

"What's been going on with you, Dean? You need to talk to me," you told him. Dean let out a sigh as he let his head fall into his hands. "I saw you die," he replied. You furrowed your eyebrows as you waited for him to continue. "You, Sammy, and I were hunting a wendigo. You went missing and when I finally found you, it was too late. You were tied up, hanging from the ceiling, dead," Dean told you, a new wave of tears falling down his face.

"Dean, baby, it was just a dream," you told him, brushing the tears off his face. "That's the thing Y/N, it's not just this one nightmare this one night. I've been seeing you, Sammy and Cas die in a different way each night, ever since...," Dean began.

"Ever since what?" you asked Dean. "Ever since that witch hunt," Dean finished. "I think she cursed me with these nightmares. She muttered something under her breath while you and Sammy were out. I couldn't tell what it was, but I figured I ganked her so it shouldn't be a problem, but now every time I close my eyes I see something horrible," he explained.

"Why didn't you tell me?" you asked him. "I didn't want you to think I was weak," Dean replied honestly. You let out a small sigh as you turned his face to look at you. "You're the strongest man I know," you told him.

He gave you a small smile and you placed your lips softly on your lips. "Listen to me, I'm not going anywhere, I promise," you told him. You then gently pushed Dean back onto the bed. You laid your head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around you.

"Go back to sleep, I'll still be here in the morning - always," you told him, rubbing patterns into his chest. You felt Dean's muscles relax as he began drifting back to sleep, feeling comforted. "I love you," you told his now sleeping form before snuggling closer to him and falling fast asleep.
