{84} Dean Winchester

Imagine: Dean is possessed by a demon and you try to perform an exorcism, but it almost kills you.
You knew that it was risky. You knew that you shouldn't have gone. But, when Dean asks you to do something, you have a hard time saying no.
Sam was gone, helping one of his hunter friends that Bobby knew, which left you and Dean alone. You have been together for several years now and trusted each other completely. You and Dean met at Ellen's roadhouse when Sam and Dean visited and the two of you couldn't help but feel a connection.
Several months later, the Winchesters asked you to begin hunting with them and a short while later, you and Dean were dating. It was hard dating a hunter because any hunt could end one of your lives, but you couldn't deny the feelings you had for the eldest Winchester.
Dean was getting anxious waiting for Sam to get home from his hunt so he decided to find some work of his own. He managed to find some news of a small town in Georgia that was being overwhelmed with the smell of sulfur and bad luck. Multiple natural disasters had practically destroyed the town. You weren't too sure it was anything supernatural, and if it was, it was something very powerful; and, you weren't sure if you were ready to fight something like that.
But, Dean insisted, so you packed your gear and the two of you began the road trip. You arrived at the small town the next day and began interviewing the locals. While you questioned them, Dean took a look around the town looking for any omens.
The two of you met up a couple of hours later and Dean had explained to you that he found multiple pieces of evidence that all pointed towards a demon. In turn, you explained that multiple locals had claimed they were witnesses to demonic possessions that had been taking place throughout the town.
The omens Dean found were not just the common ones though. They ranged from horrific possessions to natural disasters that prohibited the locals from living normal lives. Whatever demonic entity was here, it was not happy and it was very dangerous.
Dean, however, had all the confidence in the world as he began to do some research. The two of you spent hours in the library reading up on demonology books and other lore, attempting to find the source of this town's hardships.
Finally, just as you were about to throw in the towel and call it a night, Dean stood up from the table and said, "Found it." You turned your attention to your boyfriend as he began reading you a passage from the book about a demon named Xephros.
Xephros was a Knight of Hell according to legend and was a very powerful demon. He could cause natural disasters that affected a small area, but could not affect areas around them and as a hobby, he possessed multiple people, making them go crazy before eventually taking their lives.
You matched evidence you had seen from the town and the locals to facts about Xephros in the books, and in the end, you decided that he was the demon you were dealing with. It made you nervous that he was a Knight of Hell and you tried to convince Dean that it was risky to try and take him on without Sam's help. You thought it would be a good idea to wait for Sam to get back from his hunting trip and then the three of you could track Xephros down.
But, Dean disagreed. He believed that if the two of you left now you wouldn't be able to find him again for a long time and he would only kill more innocent people. He wanted to take care of Xephros tonight.
You were exhausted from the drive and from talking to locals all day, but you weren't going to let Dean go by himself. So you gathered up what energy you had left and the two of you went to find the demon.
He had made his own little hideaway on the edge of the town that was miraculously untouched by the natural disasters that had destroyed the rest of the town. You and Dean readied your weapons as you entered the building. You followed closely behind Dean, watching your backs as he led you through the building.
You made your way to the very top of the building and saw him standing there, looking out one of the windows. "Looking for me?" he asked with a smirk as he turned to face you and Dean. You stood confident, grasping your weapon with all your might.
"Where's the other one?" Xephros asked, referring to Sam. "He's not here right now, but I'll tell him you said 'Hi'," Dean sarcastically replied. "Dumb move not bringing all of your manpower to a fight with me. Do you know what I am?" he asked, straightening his posture so he stood taller. He was at least six and a half feet tall with a large muscular build. "You're a Knight of Hell," you responded. "You're not the first one we've killed," Dean added, confidently. The demon smirked as he flashed his standard black eyes at you.
Then within a second, he sent you flying to one side of the room. You groaned as you sat up, looking for your weapon, but it was nowhere to be found. You scanned the room to look for Dean, but when you saw him, you felt your heart stop.
The demon had its hand wrapped around Dean's throat, lifting him up off the ground, and he was leaving his previous vessel and entering into Dean. You jumped up and try to run to them as the black cloud began suffocating Dean, but you were too late and by the time you reached them, the possession was completed.
You stood in front of Dean now who had black eyes. He raised his hand and with one powerful blow to your cheek, knocked you back down to the ground. "Leave him alone," you told the demon as you stood back up.
He let out a sinister laugh as he struck your other cheek, sending you flying back down. "Just stop fighting Y/N, there's no point. You won't win," he told you, as you made your way to your knees, encouraging yourself to gain the energy to stand back up, but you just couldn't quite make it.
"Do you really think he loves you?" the demon asked. "I know he does," you replied. "Think again, Y/N. You're a burden to him," he stated. "You're lying," you responded, standing back up. You made eye contact with him and you felt your heart break.
You were standing in front of a man you loved so dearly. A man so full of kindness and love despite the hard times he's been through. But his eyes were cold now. An empty abyss full of evil. You wanted nothing more than to see his green eyes again.
You pushed past those thoughts and focused on the situation at hand. "I know you're in there, Dean," you began but the demon cut you off. "You were Sam's best friend and you had a major crush on Dean. At first, he thought it was cute, but now, it's just annoying. I mean you couldn't even help him stop one demon," he continued.
You ignored his harsh words and began saying, "Exorcizamus te, Omnis immundus spiritus..." "You think that will work on me? I'm a Knight of Hell, that just tickles," he told you. You stopped in frustration, thinking you had run out of options when you remembered that a long time ago you and Sam were looking into some lore.
You had found an entry on the Knights of Hell and next to it was an exorcism. The exorcism was not meant to be done alone as it was a very powerful spell to cast out out the most powerful demons. Who knew what the repercussions would be to saying the spell by yourself.
You and Sam had decided to memorize the exorcism in case you ever needed it for an emergency. You swore to yourself for not convincing Dean to wait until Sam was here to take out Xephros. After all, if Sam was here, the exorcism would work much better. But, even if you were the only one performing the exorcism, you had to try. The love of your life was in danger.
You began reciting the exorcism, feeling yourself begin to grow weak as it was draining all of your energy. "Come on Y/N, we both know you don't have the power to recite that exorcism by yourself, it will kill you," he said, crossing his arms with an amused look on his face.
You tuned out his words as you said, "Dean I know you're somewhere in there, I need you to help me fight him. I can't do this by myself. You can expel him." The demon now laughed as you pressed on. Your nose began bleeding as you felt light-headed. But, you knew you were making the demon weak, and if you could get him weak enough for Dean to push him out of his body then it was worth it.
Dean's eyes seemed to soften as he saw the blood dripping down your nose. "I can't keep this up for much longer, Dean," you told him, your eyes beginning to grow heavy. The demon was now beginning to feel the full effects of the exorcism and he tried to lunge at you to stop you, but his body stood in place.
"What?" he asked himself, as he tried to move again. You let a small smile fall onto your lips as Dean let out a loud yell, expelling the demon from his body. You collapsed to the ground as the demon left and Dean fell down to one knee.
He breathed heavily as he tried to get a grasp back on reality. When he finally did, he turned to you and his eyes were wide as he saw your weak body lying on the ground. "Y/N?" he asked, rushing to your side. "I'm okay, I'm just exhausted," you told him, reaching your hand up to stroke his face.
He breathed out a sigh of relief at your words and you asked, "Is he gone?" Dean nodded his head before replying, "I couldn't have done it without you. What was the exorcism?" "Just something Sammy and I memorized," you told him. "Nerds," he responded, making you laugh and playfully slap him. "Well, this nerd just saved you," you retorted.
Dean let out a chuckle before pulling you into a deep kiss, entangling his hand in your hair. He mumbled a 'thank you' against your lips before picking you up bridal style and carrying you to the car.
He placed you gently inside before getting in as well. He sent you one of his classic smirks as he said, "I don't know what I would do without you." You smiled in return as you stared into those beautiful green eyes, knowing your life was complete as long as you had Dean Winchester.
