{48} Demon Dean (Deanmon)
Requested By: Broken_But_Not_Lost
Imagine: You are out hunting with Charlie and when you come home, Demon Dean is waiting for you.
You had left the Bunker a couple of weeks ago. You and Dean had been in a serious relationship and you loved each other more than words could describe. But, then Dean was killed by Metatron and when he came back to life, he wasn't himself. He was a demon.
You felt bad for leaving Sam and Castiel. Especially since they were trying to find Dean, but you couldn't stay in the Bunker. Every inch of that place had a memory of you and Dean. Memories that now pained you. So, you called your best friend Charlie up and explained everything that was happening.
She was quick to respond and offered to take you out hunting for a while. Just you and her. You jumped at the opportunity, just needing a chance to get away. You tried to explain why you had to leave to Sam and Cas why you had to leave and they seemed to understand but they were also more depressed than ever which broke your heart.
You wanted to promise them you would be back, but you didn't know if you would be. So you hugged each of them goodbye and then left.
Hunting with Charlie was a good distraction. She knew how to take your mind off of everything and killing monsters was an added bonus. Today, was just another example of that. After a successful vampire hunting case, Charlie decided to go get drinks at a bar and forced you to come with her.
You didn't want to because let's face it, you were exhausted. You had been hunting nonstop and at any moment you felt like you could collapse. Charlie, of course, didn't know that you never slept, hardly ate and spent all of your energy in hunting. And, you hid it well. You convinced yourself it would just be another good distraction, so you went with her.
About twenty minutes in, you had downed three whiskeys and Charlie was practically mounting another woman at the bar. You laughed at her before going over to her and telling her that you would meet her back at the motel room. She just nodded, continuing to stare at the other girl and you chuckled to yourself before walking away.
You went back to the hotel room, slightly stumbling, mainly from the exhaustion. You opened the door to your room and flipped on the light to see Dean Winchester sitting on one of the beds. "Look who's home," he stated.
You felt tears threaten to come as you looked at the man. For a split second your hopes skyrocketed as you asked, "Dean?" He let out a small sigh and stood up from the bed, flicking his eyes from his apple green ones to his onyx ones.
You expression hardened again as you muttered, "Not Dean." "Actually sweetheart, I am Dean, just not the Dean you used to know. That Dean is long gone," he told you. "Then, what are you doing here?" you asked, placing your hand on the angel blade that was tucked in your waistband.
He chuckled and replied, "Please, we both know that you wouldn't kill me." You let out a small sigh and Dean took one step closer, but you were frozen in place. "I just came to check up on what used to be my pet," he replied. "I was a lot more than your pet, Dean," you replied, getting angry.
Dean raised his eyebrows and replied, "That's true, although looking at you now, I have no idea why." Your heart broke a little at his words but you kept a brave face. "I mean honestly. What was I thinking? There are way hotter girls than you...like that woman I slept with last night. And don't even get me started about how much better she was in bed. Not to mention she could actually put a smile on my face without me having to fake it," Dean stated not breaking eye contact with you.
Meanwhile, every crack in your heart that the old Dean had once filled was now broken again and all you wanted to do was break down. But, you wouldn't give him the satisfaction. "What do you want from me?" you asked him, your voice slightly cracking.
Dean's smirk only grew as he said, "Sam tried to pay me a visit. Told me you were taking this the hardest. Said you couldn't move on. Well, baby, I'm here to tell you to move on, because I sure as hell have."
Before you could even respond, Dean walked out the door, slamming it behind him, and you collapsed to the ground, unable to control your sobs. Dean knew every insecurity that you had and just used them against you. The man you had loved more than anything had just confirmed your biggest fear -- that you were nothing to him.
Part of you knew that it was just the demon talking, but you refused to believe that part and just focus on the fact that Dean never loved you. When Charlie came home, way later, she found you curled up in the bed, your eyes red and puffy with tear streaks down the rest of your face.
She immediately pulled you into an embrace as you began to explain to her what had happened.
You hadn't been the same since that moment. You were more depressed than ever and Charlie couldn't help you. You refused to hunt or eat or basically do anything. At this point, all you wanted was death and Charlie was growing insanely worried about you.
"Come on, we're leaving," Charlie said, approaching you. You just looked at her as you asked, "Where are we going?" "To go see Sam," she replied and you just simply shook your head no. "Y/N, I know you are going through some pretty hard stuff, but I'm worried about you and you won't let me help you. So, you're going to get your ass in that car, and we're going to talk to Sam, because he is the only one I know who can help you," Charlie stated and you just looked a little taken aback at the fact that Charlie snapped.
Charlie sighed and looked up at you with puppy dogs eyes as she said, "Please?" You let out a small sigh, but got in the car and allowed Charlie to drive you to the Bunker. You soon arrived and took a deep breath before following Charlie up to the door.
She gave you a small smile before knocking and Sam opened it, greeting her with a smile. He glanced at you and his face fell as concern immediately overtook his features. He didn't know what to say. All he could do was pull you into a hug and hope that whatever his message was, it was getting across to you.
You melted into his embrace and he pulled you closer. "Come on," he said, leading you and Charlie into the Bunker. He continued walking and he led you down a couple of hallways into the kitchen. You kept your eyes down on the floor until you entered the room and saw, once again, Dean Winchester.
Your body tensed as you saw him and you went to walk back out of the room when you heard Dean say, "No, wait, please." You turned back around and looked at him. Something was different. You looked at Sam and he told you, "We cured him."
All you could do was stand there like a statue and Sam exchanged a look with Dean before deciding he and Charlie should leave you and Dean alone. Before Sam left, he placed his hand on your shoulder and said, "We'll be right outside if you need us." He then left, leaving you and Dean alone.
Dean took a small step closer but stopped when he saw you take a step back. His heart shattered at the sight of how broken you were. Especially because he knew it was his fault. He knew what he had said to you, but he had no idea how to make it right. "I missed you," he said, his voice cracking from the tears he was trying to fight off.
You looked at a counter that was near you and saw some Holy Water on it. You grabbed the Holy Water and tossed the flask it was in at Dean. Dean immediately understood what you meant and poured some on his arm. There were no signs of burning or anything, so you relaxed just slightly.
"I'm sorry...about the things I said while I...wasn't me," Dean told you, trying to find the right words. "You don't have to apologize, Dean. I just wish I knew how you felt sooner," you replied. His heart swelled at the sound of your voice as he looked at you with confusion. "What are you talking about?" he asked you.
"What you said. You never had to pretend to love me, Dean. I could have handled the truth," you told him in response. He moved towards you, and this time you didn't move away, encouraging to move even closer.
"Is that really what you believe?" he questioned and you nodded your head. "Baby, you are the only woman I have ever loved. I mean truly loved. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, and I know I said the complete opposite while I was a demon, but you have to hear me now. Because that was a different Dean. This is me. Your Dean...the only Dean I want to be," he replied, walking closer until he was right in front of you.
A tear rolled down your cheek and Dean used his thumb to brush it away. "Dean, are you sure? Because you can tell me the truth if you don't feel the same way," you told him. The moment you finished that sentence, Dean pressed his lips to yours. It was light at first, hesitant. As if he was asking if it was okay to kiss you, but you went you parted your lips, deepening it, the kiss got more passionate.
After a moment you both pulled away and he rested his forehead against yours. "If there is one thing in this world I have never lied about, it's the love I have for you. I love you, Y/N. That's the only sure thing I know," he stated. You smiled and replied, "I love you too, Dean," before crushing your lips to his again.
