{4} Castiel

Imagine: After you get in a fight at school, your brothers take away the one thing you love the most -- your piano. But Cas comes along and saves the day.

High school was a hard time for everyone, but for you it was worse. Nobody understood you at the school you were going to, yet your brothers, Sam and Dean, forced you to continue to go to school there. You knew they meant well by it, they just wanted you to have a chance at a normal life, but you just didn't fit in there, and everyone knew it. Hell, some people even bullied you for it.

A prime example of someone who bullied you would be Maddie Coufal, the school's blonde, petite, cheerleader. Correction -- captain of the cheerleaders, which means she owned the entire school. So, when she hated someone, everyone else hated that person too, and she just so happened to hate you.

You hadn't done anything personally wrong to Maddie, so you didn't quite know why she hated you. Maybe it was the fact that you stood up for the other people she bullied, which only annoyed her to the point of no return. Whatever the reason, you had royally pissed Maddie off, and she intended on making your life a living hell.

You were walking out of your last class of the day, excited to get away from the school and go home where you knew your brothers and your piano would be waiting for you -- the things you loved the most. Your piano was your only getaway from all the drama at school. It was your only true source of happiness...well that, and Castiel. Cas was an angel, your brothers' best friend, and the man you were in love with. But, of course, you could never hint at anything, because just the thought of you and Cas having a relationship would be enough for both of your brothers to blow a gasket.

So you kept your love for the angel a secret, and stuck to playing the piano when you needed a break from life. You were actually very talented on it. After all, when you practice nearly everyday on it, you tend to learn a few good songs. Your brothers loved to listen to you play as well, because they knew how much joy it brought you. And, you were only forty five minutes away from being able to play it.

You walked out the front doors of the school and were immediately faced with the sun's bright light and other students. Suddenly, someone shoved you against the wall, making you drop your bag. You gasped slightly as you looked at your attacker who was none other than Maddie Coufal. "What the hell do you want, Maddie?" you asked, narrowing your eyes giving her a death glare.

She smirked and replied, "Always so brave, Y/N. Well, can you defend yourself against this?" she asked as she quickly and swiftly smacked you across the face. You bit the inside of your cheek as you tried to keep your composure. You knew you could kick her ass, you hunted monsters for a living! She laughed and asked, "Or are you too chicken?" That was the last straw.

She let out another snicker as you punched her across the face. She fell to the ground, and you smirked. But she got up, more mad than ever before, and she continued to attack you. You dodged each of her swings landing your own perfectly onto her face. This fight continued with you winning, not even giving her a chance until, suddenly, the principal came out of the building looking extremely angry.

"What the hell is going on here?" he asked, fuming. He pulled you off of Maddie and stated in a low, dangerous voice, "Both of you follow me to my office, now." He then began to walk to his room, and you and Maddie followed him, rolling your eyes at each other. When you reached the door to his office, he opened it and motioned for you to walk in. You hesitantly took the first step in, and sat down in one of the two chairs that was set up in front of the principal's desk.

Maddie sat down in the other chair, and the principal sat down in his own chair, facing the two of you. "Would one of you like to explain what's going on?" he asked. You look down at the ground while Maddie bit the inside of her cheek. Neither of you were gonna talk...what was the point?

The principal let out a sigh and told you both, "Alright fine, I'm contacting both of your parents." "She doesn't have any," Maddie snickered and you glared at her. The principal gave her a stern look and said, "I'm calling her brothers. They are the legal guardians of her." He then dialed the numbers and explained the situation. Within twenty-five minutes, Maddie' s parents showed up, and another five minutes later, Sam and Dean entered the room as well, looking at you sternly.

"I believe you all know why you're here," the principal said, looking at Dean, Sam, and Maddie' s parents. They all nodded their head and he replied, "Good then we can move on. They will both have to serve a week of detentions as well as a two-day suspension for their behavior." Dean and Sam let out a very audible sigh and just as Dean was about to snap a response back to the principal, Sammy intervened, saying, "We understand. Thank you, will that be all?"

The principal nodded his head slightly and then looked at you and Maddie. "And you two, I should hope this won't happen again. I would hate to have to expel the two of you." You nodded your head silently, and then you got up from the chair and followed your brothers out the door. They kept their mouths pressed in a tight lip until you all got into the Impala. As you shut your door, you took a deep breath in and then the yelling started. "You got in a fight?!" Sam shouted. "Sammy, it's not what you think," you stated.

"Y/N, you are so much better than school fights. Dean and I are trying to give you a normal life! Normal people don't get in fist-fights on campus in high school! What were you thinking?!" Sam yelled back. "Well, have you ever tried asking me what I wanted? Maybe I don't want a normal life. Maybe I want to be a hunter, and save people, and be with...," you snapped back, raising your voice a little, and catching yourself before Castiel's name could roll out of your mouth.

"Be with who?" Dean asked, speaking for the first time, and quirking an eyebrow. "I don't know, maybe another hunter," you responded, quickly making something up. Sam wasn't buying it though. "Look, Dean and I will talk about this, for now, you're grounded," he told you as Dean pulled up to the Bunker. "What?" you asked.

"Hardcore grounded, Y/N. I'm taking away your piano," he told you. "No, Sammy, you can't do that, please, I need my piano," you pleaded. "I'm sorry, Y/N, but getting in fights in unacceptable. You have to be punished for it," he responded as he got out of the car. You and Dean got out as well, as you looked at Dean with begging eyes. "Sammy, are we sure we want to take away her piano?" Dean asked, trying to defend you as you all walked into the house.

"Yes," Sam simply stated as he walked into the basement and grabbed chains and a lock. He walked into your room, where your piano was, and he wrapped the chains around it. You watched from the door as he put the lock on, turning the key, and then putting it into his pocket.

You looked at Dean who just gave you a sympathetic look and shrugged his shoulders. You rolled your eyes, and you pushed past Sammy, lying down on your bed, not speaking to either of your brothers, and they silently left your room. A few hours later, you heard a knock on your door. "Yes?" you said softly. The door opened a moment later, revealing Dean and Sam. "Y/N, Dean and I are going on a hunt, and we just wanted to say goodbye. We're leaving now," Sam informed you, and you stayed silent.

"Y/N, I know you are mad at us, but come on, give us a hug goodbye. You're grounding will be over as soon as we get home," Dean told you. "When will you be home?" you asked. "In five days," Sam replied. You let out a sigh but nodded your head, and hugged them. Life was too short to let your brother's go without saying goodbye, just in case, but this didn't change the fact that you were extremely mad at Sam for taking away your piano.

You watched your brothers leave, and as soon as the Impala drove off, you ran into Sam's room and searched every inch of the place for the key. With no luck, you did the same to the rest of the rooms in the house, but nothing turned up. So, defeated, you went back into your room and laid down on the bed.

You were extremely depressed. Your main source of happiness had just been taken away from you. You buried your face in your pillow, when all of a sudden you felt a small breeze followed by a low voice saying, "Y/N, what's wrong?" You gasped as you quickly sat up, only to see Cas sitting next to you on your bed.

"Cas, what are you doing here?" you asked. "I sensed that you were upset. What happened?" he asked you. "Sammy took away my piano," you said quietly. "Why?" he questioned, tilting his head to the side. "Because I got in a fight at school. But, I didn't even start it," you explained. Cas gave you a soft smile and he placed his hand over yours, making you blush a little. He cared for you, and you found it completely adorable.

"It will be okay," Cas reassured you. "Cas, you don't understand. My piano was like my safe haven, the one thing I could turn to when I needed to get away from all the drama in my life," you told him. He nodded his head, and then gripped your hand, pulling you up from the bed. "Cas? Where are we going?" you asked. He said nothing. Instead, he led you over to your piano and guided you to sit down on the bench.

Then, with a snap of his fingers, Cas broke the lock and the chains that had been binding your beautiful piano only moments before. You smiled widely as you looked at your piano, and then you moved your eyes to meet Cas'. He had a dopey smile on his face and you hugged him. "Thank you so much, Cas!" you exclaimed. You let go of him and then let your fingers linger on the piano keys.

"Do you want to hear a song?" you asked Cas, honestly a bit nervous. He smiled largely and replied, "There is nothing that I would want more." You blushed slightly, again, as you took a breath, and then began playing your favorite song. You played it perfectly, smiling softly as your fingers moved across the piano.

Cas watched as you continued playing as if he was in awe of you. Like there was nothing more beautiful, more perfect, to him. You could see out of the corner of your eye how he looked at you and it made your heart melt. When you finished the song, you couldn't take it anymore.

You retracted your hands from the keys and looked at Cas. You gave him a small smile and said, "I need to tell you something." "What is it?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows a little bit. You took a deep breath and you told him, "I love you Cas. I'm in love with you, and I know it's crazy for a human, let alone a hunter, to fall in love with an angel, but you just needed to know -- I love you."

Cas was silent for a moment, and you nervously tugged at your bottom lip. After another moment or two, he looked into your eyes and replied, "I love you too, Y/N, and that is a hard thing for me to admit, because as you have said I am an angel, and we aren't supposed to have the feelings. But, you have somehow twisted your way into my heart, and you should know that I love you too."

A large grin spread across your face as you leaned in to kiss him. He placed his arms around your waist and you wrapped yours behind his head. After another moment you both pulled away, and Cas had a huge smile on his face. "What are you smiling about?" you teased.

"You're everything I've always wanted," he told you. You smiled back and said, "Yeah, you are too." You then pulled him into another kiss, and this time when you broke away, he whispered in your ear, "I'm also smiling because Sam and Dean are gone, which means we have the whole house to ourselves for five days."

You pulled away to look him in the eyes and he smirked as he gave you a suggestive look, motioning towards the bed, which is exactly where you took him next.
