{36} Castiel

Imagine: Reader and Dean playfully flirt a lot and Cas gets jealous and a bit possessive.

You had been dating Castiel for a little while now, but you had known him for so much longer. You had first met the Winchesters on a wendigo hunt gone wrong. You had gotten yourself captured, and luckily they saved you. The three of you parted ways, but a few weeks later, you ended up saving them from a banshee.

After a few more chance encounters, the Winchesters decided to add you to their "friend-list," so to speak. They called you whenever they needed help, or if they just wanted to make sure you were okay.

Eventually, you had found yourself on the King of Hell's hitlist, and you call the Winchester's up to ask for help in protecting you. They agreed and allowed you to stay at their Bunker, where you had your own room. That's where you met Castiel. The Winchesters asked him to keep a close eye on you, and to protect you while they went out on hunts or while they tried to find Crowley.

Castiel did everything he could to protect you while also trying to make you feel like less of a prisoner. He would talk to you, or watch TV shows with you, or play games with you. You and he ended up getting pretty close, and by the time the whole Crowley situation was settled, Cas had grown too close and convinced the boys to let you stay.

You stayed with the three boys for months before Castiel even tried to make a move. Along the way, you became very close friends with the Winchesters. Dean eventually convinced Cas to ask you out, and even though he told his angel friend exactly what to do, Cas was still a bit confused and ended up being a stuttering, confused mess, which you found even more adorable.

Now, you and Cas had been dating for a couple of months, and although he doesn't always understand everything about relationships, he is always willing to learn, and you are always willing to teach.

You woke up with a small smile on your face. Ever since you had moved into the Bunker, the smile seemed to be permanently there, because you were with the three people who made you happiest. You crawled out of your bed and stretched a little, before making your way down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Good morning," Dean greeted with a genuine smile. "Good morning," you replied, opening the refrigerator, looking for something to eat. "You hungry?" Dean asked. "A little," you replied, sitting down at the table.

"Good, because I made pancakes," Dean said, putting a couple on a plate and then bringing the plate over to you. He sat them down in front of you before ruffling your hair in a playful way, a smirk on his face. "Hey!" you said with a smile as you noticed Cas was standing in the kitchen, watching you and Dean.

You stood and up and hugged him. "Hey you," you said with a smile. Cas smiled back and replied, "Hello." You walked back to your seat and continued to eat the pancakes that Dean made you as Dean and Cas began to talk about a hunt they were trying to research. Apparently, another hunter had taken care of it.

You finished eating your pancakes and began washing your plate. As you scrubbed the plate clean you failed to notice Dean sneak up behind you and tickle your sides, almost making you break the plate.

"Dean, stop!" you said, laughing. Dean laughed a little before walking away, and you looked at Cas. He seemed mad, but it was focused more on Dean than on you. You shook it off as you finished cleaning your plate. "So, you up for watching some movies?" you asked Cas, putting away your plate.

He looked at you for a moment and you continued, "Well, we aren't doing anything, are we?" "I suppose not. I would love to spend some time with you," he said, interlacing your fingers with his as the two of you began walking into the living room.

When the two of you walked in, you saw Dean spread out on the couch, already trying to find a movie. "Looks like you read our mind," you told Dean and he nodded his head. You began to walk past Dean, but before you could get past him, he grabbed you by your waist and pulled you onto his lap, making you laugh, but Cas looked furious.

"You know, I don't think that I want to watch a movie anymore," Cas stated, making you and Dean stop laughing. "Is everything alright?" you asked Cas, moving off of Dean's lap. "Everything is fine. I just didn't realize you and Dean were in more of relationship than you and I," Cas said, before walking to the bedroom you and he shared.

You looked shocked as you looked at Dean. "You should go talk to him," Dean suggested and you nodded your head. It was never your intention to make Cas jealous, and you didn't think anything of yours and Dean's harmless flirting, and neither did Dean.

You approached your door and knocked on it softly. "Cas?" you asked, and you just heard a small grunt in response. You let out a small sigh and opened the door to find Cas sitting on your bed, facing the door. You gave him a small smile, before walking in, shutting the door behind you, and sitting next to him.

"I'm sorry about what just happened. I didn't mean to make you jealous. Dean and I always play around, it doesn't mean anything," you told Cas, placing your hand over his. "Does Dean know it means nothing?" Cas asked, looking at you.

"Yes, we are best friends, nothing more. Besides I'm in love with a certain angel," you told him placing a hand on his cheek. He let out a small sigh and nodded his head before saying, "I'm sorry, it's just that I've never been in a relationship and I don't really know how this all works." You gave him a small smile and responded, "That's why I'll be here every step of the way. And, next time you get jealous, just tell me."

Cas nodded his head and you placed your lips on his. He kissed back immediately and wrapped his arm around you waist. "I love you," he said, looking you in the eyes. "I love you too," you replied with a smile. "Now come on, let's go watch a movie with our friend," you suggested.

Cas nodded and stood up, holding your hand as the two of you left the room and entered the living room once again. "Everything alright between you two?" Dean asked. You nodded your head, but before you could say anything else, Cas stated, "Dean you are like family to me, but if you ever make a move on Y/N, I will not hesitate to smite you."

Dean looked slightly scared as Cas stared him down, making you laugh. You pulled Cas to the couch and he sat down as you curled into his side. He wrapped his arms around you and you said, "I'm glad I have someone who cares enough to be jealous." "I'm glad I have someone worth being jealous over," he replied making you smile. He leaned down and placed his lips on yours before the two of you began watching the movie, wrapped in each other's arms.

Hello my little monsters,

This was a little short but hopefully you still liked it. Thank you for all your comments and votes! I love you all and all of you are amazing!
