Imagine: You are dating Cas but when he is in purgatory you hook up with Dean.

Dick Roman. A name that everyone knew and a name that everyone hated. You especially. You had been hunting him with the Winchesters and Castiel, the three people you were closest to. You used to date Dean. Hell, you used to be in love with him.

But, something between the two of you just didn't work anymore. You both still really cared about each other, you just didn't feel the same way you used to. The break-up between the two of you was a mutual decision, but that didn't mean it hurt any less.

When you and Dean had first started dating, you swore he was the one. So it was really sad for you to see it just burn out the way it did. You left the Winchesters for a while, but somehow managed to find your way back to them.

That's when you met him. Angel, and new love of your life, Castiel. He was immediately in awe of your beauty, and your heart stopped the first moment you saw him. But, Dean was also there, and Castiel was Dean's best friend. So, what were you going to do? Just starting flirting with your ex's best friend in front of him?

No, you kept your love for the angel in a trench coat a secret. That was until he ended up admitting that he loved you, which was something hard for him to do considering he didn't even really know what love was.

Hearing him say those three simple words made you the happiest woman on Earth. But it also brought the problem of finally having to admit your feelings for Castiel to Dean. You remember that day so clearly. The day you told Dean you were in love with his best friend.

He was mad at first, and confused. Then he moved to a stage where it was just hard for him to believe. But, eventually he collected himself, and told you that if it was what you wanted he would support the two of you and be happy for you guys.

From that day on, you and Cas became the happiest couple. He did everything for you. You thought that Dean was the greatest love of  your life, but his love didn't even compare to the love you had for Castiel. He was your other half. The only man who knew every way to make you happy.

You still had your awkward moments with Dean. After all, you had dated him for almost two years. But, you eventually both moved past them, and you knew that you would never cheat on Castiel. How could you?

Then Dick came with his army of leviathans. The year you had faced them had been particularly hard for you, because you thought Cas had died after releasing them. Luckily he was alive, and  you spent every waking moment hunting down every leviathan you could, meeting Charlie along the way.

The final battle against Dick Roman came, and you all had a fool proof plan. But, unfortunately, you, Dean, and Cas had been standing too close when the bomb went off, sending the three of you to Purgatory.

You all found each other eventually and fought your way through the horrors that Purgatory provided. You even ended up becoming pretty good friends with Benny, the vampire. And, when you had discovered that there was a way out of Purgatory, every inch of your body was filled with hope as you looked for the way out.

But, all of that hope was gone when you and Dean passed through the portal without Cas. You looked behind you as Cas faded from vision, you screaming his name the entire time. When you got back to Earth, you immediately fell to your knees, crying your eyes out.

You sobbed uncontrollably at the thought that you had lost Cas forever, and you wouldn't dare move from the spot you were in. So, Dean had to pick you up bridal style and carry you to a motel where you would both be staying the night.

When you had gotten there, Dean laid you on the bed, and tried to move but you clung to him needing the support he was providing at the moment. Dean looked at you with loving eyes as he stroked some hair out of your face.

"Y/N, we will find a way to get him out, I promise," Dean said trying to comfort you. "No, he's gone. He's gone, Dean," you replied, tears in your eyes as you looked up at him. He gave you a small, sympathetic smile and he stroked your hair again.

And, not caring about anything else, and obviously not thinking straightly, you pulled Dean into a kiss. Dean let himself melt into the kiss, but pulled away soon after. "Y/N...," he started. But, you cut him off saying, "Dean, please. I need this, please, only for tonight."

Dean let out a small sigh as he looked at your heartbroken figure and then placed his lips back on yours. He spent the entire night trying to make you feel better, and it worked for a while. But, eventually the pain always came back.

After that night, you and Dean drove back to the Bunker, meeting up with Sam and telling him what had happened to Castiel. You barely made it through the conversation, and Sam pulled you into a hug as he comforted you, knowing how much you loved Cas.

From that point on you spent every waking moment trying to find a way to bring Cas back. You didn't care what it took. You would even sell your soul if you got to spent one more year with Cas. You never know how good something is until you lose it.

Then, one day, it happened. You were in your room doing research when all of a sudden you heard a knock. "Not now," you replied, thinking it was Sam or Dean, and not really in the mood for a chat. "Alright, I'll come back later," you heard an all too familiar gruff voice say.

You immediately snapped your head up in the direction of the voice to see the love of your life, Cas, standing at the door frame. You pushed your laptop off of you and ran over to Cas, pulling him into a kiss.

He immediately responded, pulling you closer to deepen the kiss. When you needed air you finally pulled away looking into his beautiful blue eyes. You couldn't help but let tears fall as you told Cas, "Don't ever leave me again, Cas. I won't survive."

He cupped your cheeks as he gave you a loving smile, wiping your tears with his thumbs. "Y/N, I assure you, leaving you would hurt me more than it would ever hurt you," he replied before pulling you into another loving kiss. A kiss that you and he had both wanted and needed for too long.

~1 month later~

Everything had been perfect since Cas came back. You spent every moment making sure that you both knew how much you meant to each other, and how much you loved each other. You were both happy, but then all that changed when you realized that your period was late.

You inhaled a shaky breath as you took a pregnancy test and waited for the results. A couple of painfully slow minutes later, you looked down at the stick as it revealed a tiny plus sign. You let out a gasp as you dropped the test. You were pregnant.

You and Cas had always wanted a kid, but you knew the dangers of birthing a nephilim. Still, you would be more than happy to have Castiel's child. There is only one problem. You and Cas hadn't slept together since before purgatory. The only man you had slept with was Dean, and you hadn't told Cas about that.

You began getting a headache as thoughts rushed through your mind. How was Dean going to react to this? How was Cas going to? Were you going to lose him because of one night? Tears began to slip from your eyes as you thought about losing Cas again. 

Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted when there was a knock at the door. "Y/N, are you okay? I hear crying." It was Cas.

You slowly stood up and made your way to the door, pulling it open and revealing your tear-stained face to Cas. His face immediately filled with concern as he looked at you. "What's wrong?" he asked you.

"I need to tell you something," you muttered, leading him into yours' and his shared room in the Bunker. "Okay, what is it?" he questioned. "When Dean and I got out of purgatory without you, I thought I had lost your forever. I was completely heartbroken and I didn't think I would be able to live. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think, so I did something stupid," you started to explain.

"Y/N, I don't understand. Why are we talking about purgatory again? I'm back, I'm here now, with you," Cas replied. "I needed to be comforted, and the only other person there was Dean. I am so so sorry Cas, we slept together," you whispered the last part, but he still heard you.

His eyes widened as he began to make his way towards the door. "No, Cas, please don't leave," you said, tears now streaming down your face. He turned to face you, and you could see tears threatening to spill from his eyes as well.

"Why would you tell me this now?! Why not when I came back?!" he asked, feeling his shatter. "I didn't want to tell you, because it didn't mean anything. But I had to tell you," you replied. "Why," he questioned cautiously.

You inhaled shakily as you responded, "Because I'm pregnant." Cas lost it at the point as a tear fell down his cheek. He opened the door to the room and walked out of it. You quickly went to follow him but when you reached the hallway, Cas was gone.

You sank to the floor, sobbing, and a few minutes later Sam and Dean came into the hallway. "Y/N?" Sam asked as they both came to sit next to you. "He's gone, he left me," you told Sam, as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Cas would never leave you Y/N, he loves you," Dean replied. "Loved me. Dean, I'm sorry, I had to tell him what happened between us," you muttered. Sam looked between you and Dean before asking, "What happened?" "We slept together," you replied, looking at him with puffy eyes.

"What?!" he asked, surprised. "It was right after Y/N and I got out of purgatory, she needed some comfort," Dean responded, before asking you, "Why did you tell him now? If you were going to tell him, why didn't you tell him sooner?"

You exhaled as you said, "Because I wasn't planning on telling him, but I had to, because I knew it was just a matter of months before he figured it out." "What do you mean?" Dean questioned. You avoided all eye contact with either of the brothers as you stated, "I'm pregnant. With your kid, Dean."

Sam muttered an 'oh my god' and Dean's eyes widened as he was unable to breath. "And now Cas is gone," you said, more to yourself, as more tears fell. Sam pulled you into a tight hug as you cried into your chest.

"I'm going to go find Cas, see if I can talk to him about this," Dean said before standing up. "Dean?" you asked before he left. "Yeah?" he responded, looking at you. "Are you mad at me? Because I swear I didn't mean for this to happen," you said barely above a whisper. He shook his head softly as he replied, "Of course not, Y/N. I'm not going to abandon you or the baby, but I know how much you mean to Cas, and how much he means to you. So, I'm going to try and help you out."

"Thanks Dean," you told him, not letting go of Sam. He gave you a small smile before leaving. You clung to Sam as the tears fell freely and eventually, you fell asleep. Sam carried you into your bed, and laid you down, pulling the covers over you, before leaving.

You woke up to a hand on your face. You opened your eyes to see Cas smiling softly. "Cas?" you asked in a broken voice. "I'm here, Y/N, I'm here," he told you, as you sat up. He handed you your favorite kind of flowers, which you took and placed on the night stand before looking back at Cas.

He sat on the bed next to you, pulling you into his chest as you said, "I'm so sorry Cas, I didn't mean for this to happen, I swear." He placed a kiss to your temple as he replied, "I know, it's okay, I forgive you." "Please don't leave me," you whispered into his strong chest as he pulled you back down into a lying position.

"I will never leave you Y/N, no matter what. I love you too much. So, I guess that means this baby is going to have three parents," Cas replied making you smile softly. You looked up at Cas and he pulled you into a kiss. It was sweet and loving. You pulled away before laying your head back down on Cas chest as he muttered, "I love you way too much." "I love you to Castiel," you replied, falling asleep.
