The Crossroads ~ Bela's Review

Title: The Crossroads

Author: @HeatherS_

Summary:

"A month?" He got out, his breath caught. His heart pounded, his mind swirled... He hadn't realized his short amount of time.

 "Your life for Sam's. But beware, once your time is up, there is no running away from your fate. If you so happen to sidestep this once again, we're dragging you and Sam down to Hell."

 He had been told. He couldn't run from this one; he knew the consequences.

"You can't hide from your fate, Dean. I only came here to warn you. If you think about doing anything to get out of this, we will find you."

~~~~~~~
Life isn't what it seems.
 There are shadows lurking in every corner. There are creatures that feed on human minds and hearts; creatures that posses human beings; creatures that can steal your form. They are all real.
The Winchesters--brothers that have been hunting these creatures their whole lives--are being hunted down, and their friend, Castiel, has been taken by demons.
 When Dean Winchester sells his soul to save his brother, Sam, he doesn't realize that he only has a month to live. And with Castiel gone, there may be no hope for saving Dean.
 They must run from this terrible fate, or the demons will take what is theirs. And the Winchesters must survive what is coming for them.
 But will they be able to defeat this threat among them, or will this finally be their last fight?
Opinion: First, that cover is the best cover I've ever seen. Your graphic designer is awesome.
The story takes place around seasons 4-5. It's an original plot, and a very interesting one at that.The book is currently being rewritten, so please keep that in mind. I've read the first few chapters, and oh my gosh, it's amazing. The detail. The brothers' POVs. All of it was so true, so real that I could see it happening in my head, as if I were watching the show. I can't imagine how awesome the rest of the book is.
Dean sells his soul, and only has one month to live. Sam doesn't know why he's brought back from the dead, after he died on a hunt. Castiel seemed a bit too human-like for my taste for the first few chapters, but quickly redeemed himself as the strong, mis-understanding soldier we all know and love.
Tensions rise between the brothers, and it all boils down to what happens next. Will Dean go to hell? Will Cas break free from his kidnappers? What happens when Sam finds out Dean sold his soul? If you're interested, I completely 100% recommend reading this book.
