Synopsis:

Maryanne Hayward has spent most of her life wishing she were never born. With deadbeat parents and a rocky childhood, the only thing barely keeping her alive was her little brother, Felix.

After Felix dies, Maryanne must deal with the aftermath. She goes after his killer, only to find out that the life she left behind years ago is catching up to her, and the only way to get revenge is to revert back to the life she never wanted. Along the way, she meets Castiel, an angel who's willing to help her find her brother's killer, and he introduces them to two other hunters who he claims will help her get her revenge. 

In her search for vengeance, Maryanne learns to trust again, to love again, and to feel again...

But she also learns that even those who find salvation are likely to break.

So, let's move on to what matters: this here review.

This book is an AU, and let me tell you, I think this is the first I've read. I usually read those set within the show's seasons (I am also guilty of writing fanfics in seasons, but that's besides the point). The reason why I really gravitated towards this book was the fact that it's a CasxOC fic.

Let's face it, folks. Out of Team Free Will, Cassie has the least amount of love and fics. So already I like this.

Oh, this is also a review based on the first chapter that I read. I prefer to read stories when they're complete, but that doesn't mean I won't write reviews on books that are in progress. Besides, if the book gets enough love, maybe it'll encourage the author to keep on with the plot! (Psst, that's a hint!)

Our MC is a vengeful girl by the name of Maryanne Hayward portrayed by The Vampire Diaries' own Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett y'all).

We open on her ranting to God about how she wants to avenge her brother. Then poof Castiel swoops in to hear her. He wants to help Maryanne out the angel smol precious bean who deserves love. 

We don't know who killed Maryanne's brother, or why. I suppose that will be revealed as the story goes on. 

Just based on the first chapter alone I'm hella hyped. I want to see their chemistry slowly burn and grow :) 

So...should it be Marstiel? Castanne? 

Something else? 

But unfortunately I'll have to wait to see how the ship progresses, as I like to read stories when they're complete.
