This story is currently in progress and has a few chapters as of 12/29/17.

Pros:

*A+ casting choice (I have used Jaimie Alexander as a fellow faceclaim in my SPN fics so brownie points for you there, big time)

*Story's beginning

The story starts off with our protagonist, Julia Roberts (not the actress), wanting to escape her family business, like some hunters want to do. She does a similar line of work, only without the ghosts and ghouls of the world she's used to hunting.

Julia changes her last name to Barton (subtle Avenger reference?) so that her family doesn't come looking for her to drag her back to hunting. Smart move, my friend. Let's see how long it takes you to get back to your family calling.

*Lack of canon characters

We get only Julia's life, we see what she's built since changing her last name. No Winchesters or apocalypse involved. We get to see who she is and dig into her as a character a little bit. She's not directly involved with any of our main characters, so it's nice to see an OC on her own.

*A different ship

I do agree, some other characters deserve a little love. And who wouldn't want to see Gabriel ship with a hunter like Julia? I can imagine him just relentlessly flirting with her and she pushes it off like she doesn't like it but she secretly does. (Wouldn't we all?)

Con:

Yes, con, as in just one. 

*I need updates, damn it! (No rush, dearie, write at your own pace. I totally understand how life can get in the way!)
