The Moon Moons of Hunting

Alias sat on the bed in a trance. She didn't know what to do; her cousin was gone with no trace of ever being there at all and after hours of research, the only thing Alissa could truthfully conclude was the fact that Harry's kidnapping probably had something to do with the case. Also that it was some sort of winged creature that took her; it left a rich, dark brown feather behind.

"Goddamnit, Harry, where are you?" Alissa muttered, worried. She hadn't lost her cousin for longer than one day since a hunt with a Wendigo about a year ago, but that really didn't count because she knew exactly where he was, she just couldn't quite reach him. Now she didn't even have any clue as to what country he might be in, much less a specific address.

Alissa got up from her perch on the bed and looked out the window just in time to catch a certain black '67 Chevy Impala pull into the parking lot of the Starlight Motel. Oh, shit. I am not dealing with this right now. She thought, about ready to cry out of frustration and sleep deprivision from research and worry and she knew she could NOT deal with these shitty hunters right now. With the disappearance of Harry and now the appearance of the Winchesters, the most infamous hunters in the business, she pretty much wanted to die.

She yanked shut the ugly floral patterned drapes and plopped down in her bed, heat racing, throat clenching, praying to god the Winchester brothers weren't investigating her case.

Alissa was a bit out of the game as she got dressed and washed her face he next morning. Her usual partner was kidnapped by something and possibly dead and she had no leads as to why she was kidnapped or where she was. To top it off, she had no information on the burning bush case, and Sam and Dean, the moon moons of hunting, were in he neighborhood. Her entire usual hunting routine was stamped into the ground and thrown into the seventh layer of hell.

The Impala wasn't in the parking lot, so  she thought maybe the boys had just stayed for a night and didn't notice the obvious case in he newspaper. Alissa sighed. Unlikely. She reached her jeep, started the engine, and pulled out of the parking lot, heading back to the scene of the burning bush.

As she pulled up to park on the curb, she saw the Winchesters checking out the bush. Fine then, God, just fuck me in the ass with a shard of glass. I love that. Alissa's mind screamed as she left her car. If Harry were there Alissa would probably walk up to the boys, make a smart ass comment about the case, and tell them "Hey, we got this one, you can just mosey on along to the next town.", and hey, they'd probably cooperate. Unfortunately, Harry wasn't there.

"Oi, Winchesters. Step away from the bush." Alissa shouted as she crossed the street. She caught their attention immediately, and Dean put his hand under his jacket, probably palming the gun he had in his waistband.

"Dean! Calm down, she's a hunter. Friend of Harry's. Who isn't very fond of us either." Sam added as an afterthought. Alissa was right in front of them now.

"This is my case. Leave before you fuck it up." Alissa commanded fiercely. The brothers exchanged glances.

"We're not going to. . . fuck it up. We can help." Sam responded before Dean could say anything to defend himself. Dean looked at Sam like he was insane and just mumbled "We need to talk" as he pulled Sam off to the side.

Alissa heard some muttering and a few phrases, like "angels" and "salt her." She waited impatiently, hand on her hip, until they finally concluded their conversation.

"I guess like he said, we're not leaving. We can help out, as you seem to have some kind of emotional tie to this case, judging by your. . . state of mind, and that never ends well." Dean stated. Alissa wasn't nearly as calm.

"You would know! How many times have each of you died? DIED! What happened to death being the end? You're irresponsible and leave a mess in every town you visit! I just want to solve the case, kill a bitch, find Harry and leave without having to clean up your mess." Alissa shouted at them. She was so bent out of shape. She really didn't want to let them 'help' her. She noticed there was water coming from her eyes. She wiped them hastily, turning her back on the boys. Why is she being so dramatic? It's only been one day and one night without Harry. She needs to calm down.

Now that she thought about it, she did have emotional ties to the case and it would be helpful if she could have a different viewpoint of the clues.

"Fine. Whatever." She said, interrupting whatever Sam was saying to try to convince her to let them work the case. "I'll meet you at your motel I guess. I'm in room 16." Alissa said after endless silence from the brothers. She left them to contemplate her words and got back in her Jeep, heading to the nearest bar to take her mind off things.
