40. He realises he likes you
Adam Milligan~
His foot taps impatiently against the floor as he checks his watch for the third time in the past five minutes.
What's taking so long?
When he finally sees you approaching, bookbag slung over your shoulder as you talk to another friend, he breaths out a sigh of annoyance, and jogs over towards you as you wave goodbye to Tyson.
"You're late!"
And you're with him again...
A tinge of jealousy marrs his voice as you sling your arm around his shoulders and the two of you start walking towards the school building.
"Sorry, sorry I know! Tyson wanted some advice for something." You scrunch up your nose and Adam finds himself leaning closer to you as you near the school building.
"It's our first day of grade eight (8)." Adam relishes in the closeness of your figure as the two of you head towards the gym where you'll be assigned your homeroom class.
I wonder if she sees me the same way I see her?
"Yeah I know. Oh man I hope we have the same homeroom class this year again!" You can't help the happy jump you do as he laughs, and you slide your arm off his shoulders to link it with his.
I'm so lucky to have her. Even if it's only as a friend for now.
Adam quickly finds himself blushing, but as soon as he sees another guy staring at you, he feels something twist in his stomach. Sending a glare towards the guy, he focuses on your words as you chatter. Loving the sound of your voice and whole heartedly knowing that he fell for you sometime over the summer break between your hangouts at the mall and waterfights by the river.
I want this to last forever.
Balthazar~
The bright lighting reflects beautifully off of your eyes as he dances with you, and Balthazar is mesmerised by the laughter passing your lips. His steps falter for a moment as he realises that this is only a front for the quick hunt, but he inwardly scolds himself for wanting this to happen again
She's a human and will pass far sooner then I will. Wanting more then her friendship is pointless.
Balthazar can't help but try to memorise you in this moment though. Engraving the look in your eyes and the smile on your face within his mind.
Although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask someday.
He had realised that through the teasing and the laughter the night before that he felt something for you. Something stronger then just the amusement of the situation or the fondness of your company as you sat together on his couch, drinking champagne and venting about the expectations of others late into the evening.
He sighs as he spins you again, and pulls you back towardrs him, feelling your hands snake around his neck and holding you a little closer then before.
"Is everything alright Balthazar?" Your eyes move up to his, seeing torn emotions flitting over his face, and he nods quickly.
"Of course love. Just thinking that's all. Why dont we get this done and over with so that we can get back and relax?"
And so that I can get away from this addictiong touch of yours before I do something foolish.
Bobby Singer~
Snow falls softly outside as you prepare food for your usual group of hunters, and the group of three welcomes you over. Your shift had just ended, so your boss had given you permission to sit with your friends and all enjoy a meal together in the later hours of the day.
"So get this," You set down the last two plates of food, Dean's pie and Sam's salad as you listen in on their conversation, and then slide into the booth next to Bobby, who sends you a quick nod before turning his attention back to Sam.
Y/n finally got off work. Maybe she can help us with this case?
Bobby finds himself shifting closer to you as the three of you listen to Sam's report on a possible shapeshifter the next town over.
She smells good. Like pastries
He finds himself starting to lean closer, but quickly snaps out of it as you offer to head over with them, knowing that your friend lives in that town.
What the hell am I doing? She's probably got a boyfriend, if not a husband.
He finds himself looking to your finger for a ring, or a tan mark, but there's none. Slight relief floods through him, before he narrows his eyes and shakes his head slightly.
Why does it even matter? It's not like I like her
You laugh at something that Dean says, and Bobby finds himself growing warm at the happy look on your face.
Well damnit
Castiel~
Castiel tilts his head in confusion as he watches you cleaning your weapons at the bench in your basement. His eyes follow your practiced movements, and he feels a pleasant tingle in his stomach and chest as you look over and send him a small greeting smile.
She's making me feel such odd things...
"What can I help you with feathers?" Your voice is soothing to his ears as he wanders over towards you, and he looks on in fascination as you disassemble a shotgun and clean each part carefully.
"Dean said that I should ask you about this, but my chest has been feeling tight when I'm around a particular girl lately. Is this a form of human sickness?" The angel looks on in curiosity as you furrow your brow and turn to face him.
That expression she's making is adorable
"That depends. Do you also feel kinda warm around them? LIke if they laugh or are acting cute or something then does your face start to feel warm?" Castiel takes a moment to think about the time he's spent with you. His thoughts skimming over the times when you're laughing and the tingle in his chest doubles, and an odd but not horrible warmth rushes up to his face.
"Yes. Is it a bad thing?"
Before Castiel can start worrying, you quickly shake your head with a smile.
"No Cass. It means you probably like the person." You turn back to your word ready to give him the talk if needed.
So I like Y/n? Perhaps I should ask Sam for advice on what to do with this knowledge.
"Thank you. I will ask Sam for advice now. Goodnight Y/n."
Crowley~
"You have horrible taste in men mother. Perhaps you should try women instead." Crowley scoffs as he watches his mother's latest boyfriend leave her, and the red head looks at him furiously.
"Like who Fergus? Give me the name of the woman you think could treat me better then these men because I'm getting tired of this!" She snaps at him, and he unknowingly starts of think of you.
"Crowley. You're late. Why aren't you at the meeting yet?" The sharp, yet familiar voice of yours truely rings out behind him, and the king of hell spins around.
I forgot she can hear when others think her name. Perhaps I should be more careful of that in the future...
"And who might you be miss?" Your attention shifts to the witch wearing an emerald green dress beside him, and Crowley can feel annoyance brushing over him as he sees the look in his mother's eyes.
Oh no you don't. This angel is mine.
He doesn't pause to think about the thoughts rushing through his mind as he takes your hand and snaps his fingers, sending the two of you to his throne room as Rowena is left staring at where the twwo had been.
"Oh, Fergus likes that one."
Meanwhile, back in hell, Crowley can't help but glance at you throughout the meeting as you make your typical deals with crossroad demons to stay away from certain crossroads, and try to find a better way to bring damned souls to hell other then hellhounds.
I thought of her as mine. Perhaps I should claim her to be my queen before some angel tries to take her. The Winchester boys' pet angel has been with her more often after all. She would make a fine queen of hell.
Dean Winchester~
"Hey shortstack, miss me?" The older Winchester looks up at the sound of your voice ringing through the bunker. The door creaks shut behind you, and you spin your keys on your finger as you walk down the steps with your bag in hand.
Yes but I shouldn't
"What's the right answer to that?" He answers back teasingly ashe watches you near him, and Dean can't help but let his eyes wander over your figure as you turn down a hallway towards the kitchen.
"If you want some of the pie I'm about to make, the answer is yes!" You call out from the kitchen as he hears the faint sound of a mixing bowl being set on the counter, and you look up from where you're unpacking grocerys as he follows you in slowly.
Oh my god she can make pie
"If you're making a pie, I might have to keep you here." He follows you over like a lost puppy, and you wave towards the grocerys needing to be unpacked.
"That's semi doable. Hurry up and put this stuff away and I'll let you pick what's for dinner too." You turn on the radio as you start preparing the pie crust, and Dean's mouth almost starts watering.
What can't she do? She's got the looks, personality, hell she cooks and she can make pie! I think I'm in love! She was amazing before, but this is even more of a bonus
Dean finds himself doing what you said, glancing over at you periodically as you work on the dessert for after dinner.
Gabriel~
"You know, if I'm being totally honest, that wasn't half bad." You and Gabriel are walking side by side down a bustling New York city sidewalk once again after getting out of a movie he had recommended.
"Of course it was awesome! I'm the one who chose it!"
Did she really like it? I hope so
You roll your eyes at his proud face, and he feels a flutter in his chest as you bump his hip with yours.
"Yeah yeah. Can you get me home now? We didn't exactly drive here." Gabriel finds himself starting to reach for your hand. Ready to use the excuse that it'll be easier to fly there if he's making physical contact, but you pull your hand away at the last second with an excited gleam in your eyes as you see a shop.
"Wait wait hang on I've gotta get something quick first."
Damnit... wait why do I care about holding her hand? She's just another human
He waits for you while trying to distract himself by winking at the ladies as they pass by, and he almost snaps you to the bottom of the ocean when you appear from behind him, suprising him with a bag.
"Don't look until you get home!" You then hold out your hand, ready to go home, and Gabriel quickly grabs it.
I wonder what's in the bag?
You're home in seconds, waving goodnight to Gabriel as the golden-haired archangel stands on your front step, staring quizzedly at the bag. He flys to his own home quickly, excitement filling him as he finally opens the bag.
Oh my dad she got me candy I think I love this girl.
Lucifer~
You swing your angel blade at himagain, and he dodges easily. Moving behind you in the blink of an eye and holding his own blade to your throat.
"Too slow." Lucifer releases you, and you spin around with a huff.
"You're cheating!"
Oh that face is adorable
He smirks back at you and tosses the blade up into the air, catching it easily and pointing to you with it. "Am I though? Only humans are as slow as you are dear Y/n"
Lucifer could've sworn he saw a blush dance over your cheeks before your face went stern, and he opened his mouth to try and say something to make it come back.
"I don't think so Luci!" You dart forwards and try to stab him, the sparring match becoming slightly more intense as he dodges easily, and grabs your arm. Twisting is to disarm you. Lucifer sings you around, pulling your back flush against his chest, and holding his own angel blade to your neck yet again.
I think I quite like her in this position
"I think you're getting worse. Am I distracting you?" A devilish smirk spreads his lips, and you struggling away with a scowl and a blush.
Ah there's that cute face
"Shut up and fight me damnit!"
Sam Winchester~
Sam sits quietly at the table in the motel. His eyes skim over the article on his laptop as he searches for cases in the area, and he barely flinches as you open the door and walk in. Dean looks up from his bed, and a smile breaks out on his face as he welcomes you in.
A part of him relaxes at your presence, glad to know that you got back safely. The taller Winchester's eyes briefly flick over to skim you up and down as you set the bag with food on the opposite side of the table, and he finds you already looking at him.
"I brought the pie Dean!" You quickly look away from him, but not fast enough for him to miss the small blush rising to your cheeks.
Damn that's cute
A smile smile plays at Sam's lips as he sees the tint of pink, and he doesn't even realise what he had thought until a couple minutes later when he's eating with you and his brother, and he chokes on his salad, waving off your concern.
Shit this is bad. She's supposed to be just a friend
Sam takes a minute to drink some water, and carries on the conversation. His mind circling around his previous thoughts and trying to pinpoint when he first started thinking of you as more then just a friend.

Still working on the longer chapter. So I figured I might as well do some shorter ones while you all wait!
