27. He Gets Sick

Adam Milligan~

The loud ringtone going off from your phone on your nightstand is what wakes you up, and you lazily throw out an arm to grab the annoying device. Rolling onto your back, you sit up amd squint at the bright screen before pressing answer and holding it to your ear.

"Hey Kate. Is everything good over there?" You sleepily greet your boyfriend's mom, stifling a yawn as you swing your legs off the bed and move around the room to get dressed for the day.

"Not really. Adam came down with a fever last night and I have work today. If it's alright with you, could you stop by and check on him today for me?"

The news that Adam is sick wakes you up the rest of the way and you subconsciously nod your head before realizing she can't see you.

"Yeah I'll head over now. I'll be there in a bit Kate."

*timeskip*

"Adam, sweetheart how are you feeling?" You reach his bedside and lean down to rest the back of your hand on his warm forehead.

"Like shit. Did mom call you?" He opens his eyes amd turns his head to check the time on his clock. 10:04 Am.

"Yeah. You just rest up a bit and I'll bring you some food. Do you want soup or something else?"

Adam yawns and presses his eyes shut tightly as you take his temperature with the thermometer on his nightstand table. 100.4...

"Tomato soup and grilled cheese please?" He turns away to cough into his sleeve, and you nod.

"Coming right up. I'll get you some Tylenol and a damp cloth first though to help with that fever."

Balthazar~

"But Y /nnn!! Wine will surely help with this illness! It couldn't possibly hurt to try..."

"No wine!" You grab the bottle away from Balthazar and stash it in the cupboard behind you. You then grab your boyfriend by the shoulders and spin him around to push him back up the stairs towards your shared room.

"Y/n please! I am quite fine I swea-" A sharp sneeze interupts his statement, and you sigh as you hand him one of the tissues that had been stuffed into your pocket when you were in the kitchen.

"Balthy, you never beg unless you're deadass drunk or very sick. So hush up and go to bed now."
With a tired grumble of annoyance, Balthazar finally stops fighting against you and slowly stomps to his room like a child.

"Very mature! I'll have you know that this is all caught on camera because of the security cams I unstalled!"

The door slams and all three of the security cameras are zapped with some of Balthazar's grace, causing them to explode and fall to the ground smoking.

"Balthazar!!!"

Bobby Singer~

Coughing from downstairs is what wakes you up, and you tiredly roll out of bed to head downstairs, not bothering to get dresed properly.

Your nightgown is warm, and you don't have work today so why bother?

You slowly shuffle down the stairs towards the source of the coughing, to find Bobby, who had just gotten back from a salt and burn case. His clothes are soaking, and as you near him, he's hit with another bout of coughing and sneezing.

"Bobby." You yawn again as you help him take off his jacket, and you steer him towards the kitchen.

"Hey honey." His face morphs to a gentle smile, and he moves to give you a kiss, but you hold him an arm's length away.

"No way! I'm not catching your cold Bobby. Come sit down, and I'll make you some soup."
With a grumble of annoyance, he follows your orders, and within minutes you're dumping a can of chicken noodle soup in a bowl and putting it in the microwave.

Turning around, you hurry upstairs to grab a blanket from your room, and some dry clothes for him.

"Now change and when you're done, get your butt back here for soup. No arguing!" You shoo him towards the bathroom as the microwave dings, and you have to hold back another yawn.

"This is gonna be a long day."

Castiel~

"Y/n?! Something is wrong!" You almost trip on your dash up the stairs as a human Castiel yells your name from above.

"Cass?! What is it?"

He stands at the entrance to the livingroom. His eyes red and puffy, and his nose running slightly.

"I don't know. My head feels as if it will explode."

You almost start laughing as you walk over to the bathroom.
"Follow me Cassie."

You lead the confused former angel into the bathroom, and get him to sit on the edge of the bathtub as you dig through the medicine cabinet.

"You know what is wrong right Y/n?" His voice is fearful as he looks up at you while you search for Tylenol.

"You have a cold Castiel. I'm getting something to help with your headache."

The dark-haired male sighs as he rests his head in his hands, and you laugh gleefully as your fingers find the familiar little bottle.
Pulling out the bottle, you note with annoyance that there's only one pill left.

Shaking it out into your hand, you hold it out to Castiel.
"What is that?"

You force him to take it in his hand, as you lead him back out to the kitchen.
"It's a pill. It'll help make your headache go away." You pass the confused angel a cup of water.
"Put it in your mouth and drink the water. Make sure to swallow the pill."

The poor angel looks confused as ever, but he puts the pill in his mouth and takes a sip of the cold water.
Midway through his swallow, he coughs, and he struggles to swallow as he chokes for a moment.

"There you go. Now hurry on over to the livingroom and make yourself comfortable. I'll be right over with some soup."

Crowley~

Quiet mews are what wakes you up, and you quickly poof out of bed, fully dressed beside your tiny reddish-tan companion.

"What is it Pounce? Is something wrong?"

The tiny kitten continues her mewing as she dashes down the hall towards the throne room.

Confusion floods you as you follow her, and she leads you to your boyfriend. The king of hell himself.

"Crowley? Did something happen?' You approach the throne from behind. Not yet seeing him.
"Pounce seems to be upse- oh my.. Are you alright?"
Your train of thought switches in seconds as you see the king.

His face is pale, and he seems to be trembling.

"Gerard, leave us." You shoot the order towards crowley's right-hand man and the demon quickly leaves.

"Y/n? I am quite alright. Why don't you just feed the little one. That should do it.

Pounce easily leaps up to sit on Crowley's lap, purring and mewing as she tries to lick his chin.

"I don't think so. You need rest. Gerard can take care of things for today."

Crowly's mouth immediately opens to protest, but with a snap of your fingers, he's sitting on your shared bed instead of his throne.

"Y/n! I have work to get done!"
He lifts one hand to snap, but you grab it before he can.

"No. You rest."

"You force Crowley to lay down, and pull the covers up over him.

"I'll be back with medicine."

Dean Winchester~

A groan sounds beside you, and you roll over as you hear it.

"Dean? You ok?"

Dean is sitting on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands as he lets out string after string of curses.

"Sorry princess. Just a headache. You get back to sleep."

A sigh leaves your lips as he refuses to let you see his face.

"Dean. Look at me now."
Your voice is stern, and the older Winchester complies.
His eyes are puffy and red, and his nose is running slightly.
Paired with the headache, you conclude that it's just a cold, which he probably caught while out late last night on the wendigo hunt.

"Come on you. Let's get you some food and medicine."
You get out of bed, and drag the protesting Dean to the kitchen, where you force him to sit down as you grab a can of chicken noodle soup.

"I'm fine Y/n! Rea-" His protest is interupted by a fit of sneezes, and you toss him a box of kleenexes from the counter.
The box sails past him, landing on the table as his reflexes fail him.

"Well that was just sad."

You pour the soup in a pot and set it on the stove.
While waiting for the soup to finish, you hurry back to your shared room with dean and grab a thick blanket from your stash in the closet.

Reaching the kitchen, you throw the blanket in dean's general direction, hearing the surprised grunt from him as it hits him in the back of the head.

"Sorry Deano."

You ignore his protests as you pour the now hot soup into a bowl, and carefully set it in front of Dean.

"Eat up. Once you're done, we're going back to bed. You can take a day off of hunting."
Once again, you tune out his whining. Singing Hey Jude softly as you wrap the blanket around his shoulders.

"Thanks Y/n."

Gabriel~

"Y/nnnnn" Gabriel whines your name as you take yet another candy away from him.

"Don't you start mister. Get your sorry self back into that bed or so help me you won't have any candy for a month."

"Buut Y/nnn."

"No buts!" You gently push the humanized archangel back towards his bed, and bring the glass of water from the kitchen to set it on his desk next to the bed.

"Why can't I have any candy?" He gives you his best puppy eyes, but you are unaffected.

"Don't bother with that. It won't help you. Just lay down," You pull the covers up over him as he lays down tiredly onto the pale red bedsheets. "and try to sleep. I'll get out a couple of movies for later."

"You press a quick kiss to his forehead and he pulls you down with him. "Just stay with me now. Movies can wait."

Lucifer~

"What do you mean he left!?" You enraged yell echoes through the house, and the two demon cowers away.

"We couldn't exactly stop him miss. I'm so sorry. We shall go out to search for him."
The two terrifed demons scramble away towards the door, fear clear in their movements.

Lucifer had been stuck as a human for a while, and while he was human, he caught a cold, which infected almost every human that he had passed. You were luckily immune to his mega cold, but you had confined him to the house to keep other people from getting sick.

A growl leaves your lips, and Blue looks up at you from his place sitting beside you. His face twists to form a doggy smile as he catches your attention.

"Your father is an idiot isn't he Blue..."
He whines in agreement, and follows you to the kitchen as you get the worst tasting medicine you can find. With your luck, it's the exact medicine that Lucifer needs.

"Miss?! Lucifer has rerturned!" You turn around as a younger demon who has your trust rushes into the kitchen.

"Thank you Terrance, please mesure out the proper amount of medicine for him while I bring him to the livingroom. And Terrance, ensure that you don't get on his bad side. I would rather keep my few friends alive."

His smile is like the sun shining off of a pearl. White and bright as he  realises that you consider him a friend.

"No problem miss!"

You turn and head towards the entryway, meeting Lucifer halfway.

"And just where did those two I sent for you end up?"
You rest your hands on your hips sassily and Blue makes a face as well, the huskey finding amusement in the serious tone of your voice.

"Dead." He responds curtly and makes his way towards the living room. You sigh and trail behind him. Not bothering to argue.

"You know why I wanted you to stay here Lucy."

"I know. But this human sickness is irritating, and I got bored."

Sam Winchester~

"Y/n?" Sam's quiet voice pulls you from one of your rare, pleasant dreams, and you groan as you bury your face in your pillow to try to avoid waking up.

"Y/n please wake up..."
His voice is scared almost, and that's what makes you roll onto your back to sit up.

"You ok Sammy?" A yawn and a stretch later, you're holding his hands in yours.

"I think I'm sick.." His voice is disappointed, and you finally look up at his face.

"Yes." Your eyes wander to where his own eyes are red and dark bags sit under them. You reach up and let the back of your hand rest on Sam's cheek. "Most definately sick Sammy. Sorry."

He groans at your statement and flops down on the bed next to you.
"So that's why my head is kiling me..."

You smile in pity as the tall nerd  rolls onto his belly and presses his face into the sheets.

"Here."
You swing your legs out of bed and grab your purse from beside your night-table. Digging through it, your fingers find the familiar bottle of pills, and you shake two onto your hand.

"Sam, take these then try to take a nap hun. I'll have soup and a movie ready when you wake up."
