TWENTY-SEVEN
"It's funny how sometimes the people you'd take a bullet for, are the ones behind the trigger."

"LONG TIME NO see."
No. It can't be him.
I heard a click and Dally, Johnny, and Pony screamed. I felt a cold, metal object touch the side of my head.
"You know, I figured since I was exhausting y'all constantly, then I'd just end the whole mystery right here. I'm the one that killed Derek and your Gramps, and now I'm going to be the one to kill you and your friends."
I took a deep and shaky breath. "It can't be you..... it- it can't."
He chuckled. It was an evil kind of chuckle. "What? Did you think it was Bob?"
"No, I didn't, but I also didn't think it would be the person I also considered as a father figure." Tears were now falling from my face.
"I thought the me hating your dad part would easily give me away. I guess you're not as smart as I thought."
"Yeah, and I guess you're not as smart as I thought you'd be either." I laughed.
He pushed me down in one of the four chairs, keeping the gun pointed at me. He turned towards Pony and them. "Get in the chair now, and if you don't listen, I'll blow her brains out right now."
They all were shocked, but afraid at the same time. It was weird seeing Dally scared. I was in between Dally and Pony, Johnny was right beside Pony.
He continued to walk around us, holding the gun at each of our heads. He tied the boys up and left me untied for some reason. I finally got the courage to speak up. "Why are you doing this at Bob's house?"
"Well, his parents are gone on vacation, and he's at some party. So, I was like, why not?"
I rolled my eyes. "You're a cold hearted bastard, you know that, right?"
He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and slapped me across the face with his gun. I yelped out in pain, causing the guys to squirm like crazy in their chairs, trying to break free. I laid across the floor, and he pulled me up by the hem of my shirt.
"I'm going to torture you so much. And I'm torturing them by making them watch." He whispered in my ear.
"I know this bear is probably the most favorite thing you own." He spoke, holding up my white bear that Gramps gave me.
"You do anything at all to that bear, and I won't hesitate to slice your head off!" I yelled, grabbing my switchblade out of my back pocket.
[probably what Kieran wants to do to him right now]
He chuckled and threw the bear up in the air, catching it. "Where's your respect? Didn't your father teach you anything before he left?"
I grasped my fingers around the handle of the blade, squeezing it so tight, my fingers were turning purple. "You know what they say about anger problems, Kieran. Anger is nothing more than an outward expression of hurt, fear, and frustration."
"I wouldn't have to manage my anger if people would manage their freakin' stupidity." I snapped, venom laced in my voice.
(btw she didn't say freaking, she said the F word lmao)
He looked taken aback. "Your parents told you to never have a potty mouth. What a shame."
I growled, "Give me the bear, or I'll have more than a potty mouth."
He gave me a devilish grin. "I either rip the bear, which is the only reminder of your Gramps, to shreds, or I shoot Ponyboy. You choose."
I swear my breath stopped. I couldn't breathe. "W-why do you want to do this?" I sobbed. "I thought you liked me and my parents."
Dale fiddled with his gun. "Well, of course I liked your mother, I was having an affair with her. Remember the triangle? Yeah, that's how I know about everything. Is everything coming together now, Kieran?"
I was still silent, so he took that as his cue to keep explaining.
"I never liked your father. He always got in the way of me trying to get with your mother. I liked you at first, but then you started turning out exactly like your dad. So, I needed to get rid of everything you loved. Tonight I'm going to finish it."
"So, let me ask this again. The bear or Pony?"
That question is basically asking me, Gramps or Pony? I love that bear to death, but a person's life is way more than just a bear's.
"Keep the b-"
"Too late."
I heard a gunshot and started screaming. I dropped the knife and looked at the horror on Dally and Johnny's faces. He shot Pony in the chest.
"You bastard!" I shouted and tackled him. We flew over the couch and I continued punching him in the face. I punched him so much, his face looked like a raisin.
My hands were really damaged. There were cuts, bruises, and blood everywhere. I walked away and ran over to Pony. "Thank God, he's still breathing." I whispered. I ran to go get the phone and call 911, but Dale snatched me and put the gun up to my forehead.
"No need to save him, you'll be joining him soon enough."
I clenched my eyes tight and the gun went off. Blood splattered all over my face and I shot my eyes open.
[what it looked like. PRETEND IT'S KIERAN AND NOT DYLAN LMAO]
Bob was standing there holding a gun. He looks extremely confused and shocked once he glanced down to find Dale.
"Call 911!" I yelled, running over to Pony.
"I already did, don't worry." Bob assured me. He threw me a cloth and I wrapped it around Pony's wound. He already lost a ton of blood.
"Untie them" I motioned to Dally and Johnny, who were crying.
Bob nodded and ran over to them, untying them. Once they got free, they ran over to me. "Please, Pony. You got this. Stay alive." I sobbed.
The blood on my face started drying, and I could smell it. The sirens from ambulances and police cars started getting closer and next thing you know, they busted through the door.
"You've gotta help him!" I shrieked, looking up at them.
"Alright, in order to save him, you have to let go, ma'am." The police officer instructed.
I nodded as he pulled me away from Pony. They put him on a stretcher and rolled him out the door and into the ambulance.
"We've got to go with him!" I cried.
"We have to ask you questions about what happened first, and then I promise, we'll get you there as soon as possible."
I decided to cooperate because being stubborn wouldn't help me get to Pony faster. We all three answered the police officer's questions and they asked Bob questions. They told us that if Dale was still alive, he'd be put in jail for the rest of his life.
I wish he was alive now, just so he'd suffer.
They drove all of us to the hospital and I glanced at Bob. "Thank you so much. If it weren't for you, we'd all be dead."
He shrugged, "Don't thank me. I've been a jerk to you for almost your whole life."
When we entered the waiting room, all of the guys gasped and ran over to us.
"Kieran, what the hell?" Soda had tears in his eyes and pulled me into a hug, even though I had blood all over me.
I sat down and told them everything. Once I finished, they all were shocked and pissed at the same time. "Well, I'm just glad you all are okay." Darry spoke, motioning to me, Dally, and Johnny.
Tears started forming in my eyes again. "Yeah, but Pony isn't."
Dally, Johnny, and I just had a group hug and didn't let go. We all prayed that Pony would make it out of there safe.
"I have some news." The doctor announced.
We all stood up and turned towards him. I felt like I was about to throw up.
"Pony..."
