Go ahead and get your huge detective glasses on because this chapter is going to have TONS of foreshadowing.

"The body is like a sentence that invites us to rearrange it, so that its real meaning becomes clear through a series of endless anagrams."

"SODA, STEVE, COULD you two let us talk privately?" I quietly asked, and they nodded, giving me one last hug before they left. On their way out, they ruffled Pony's hair.

I glanced at Pony and instantly wanted to pull him into a hug. He had black marks all over him from the fire. He looked miserable, and I probably looked the same way.

He sat in the chair beside the hospital bed, and I sat up, revealing the letter I got on the bear. His eyes went wide as he pulled out his letter. "Before we start talking about this, I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry." I spoke softly.

He knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "Kieran, why are you sorry? I should be the one telling you sorry. I mean, for goodness sake, you just lost your grandfather and you about died in an explosion from saving me!"

I chuckled lightly. "This guy or girl that's after me was originally going for me. Then, you came into the picture. Ponyboy, this is a person that's obviously associated with my parents. It makes me so pissed that they dragged you into it. This person should've just stuck with trying to hurt me."

I got cut off by Pony's lips softly brushing against mine. When he pulled away, I raised my eyebrows. "Well, that definitely woke me up."

He started laughing. "That's why I did it. Now, let's find out who this bastard is."

We switched letters and reading Pony's gave me chills. Pony read out loud the quote in my letter. "The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience."

"Of course. This sick bastard wants us to go out on an adventure like were Lois and Clark." I snapped frustratingly.

Ponyboy started laughing and sighed. "I don't know if I can do this, you know? He or she is probably going to make us go places we've never been and break into things. If Darry finds out, he'll be so pissed."

"He's never going to find out." I gave a devilish smirk and Pony had an uneasy look on his face. "You're scaring me. Maybe that coma has like, messed with you or something."

I started chuckling, "Pony, my parents are in the FBI. Plus, I've watched so many episodes of crimes and mysteries, I'm a pro. You just have to trust me."

"Wait, why AREN'T we calling your parents? They'll probably figure this out in no time."

"Are you stupid?!" I yelled, "That person won't hesitate to kill us or anyone else who gets in the way, Pony. I think they've shown us that by killing Gramps! Plus, payback. No one is going to kill my grandpa and get away with it!"

"And when I get my hands on that person, they're going to wish they've never messed with us. Okay?" I questioned, and Ponyboy just nodded his head.

"We can do this, Pony. You can't be scared, you just have to live a little. There's nothing to fear, but fear itself."

(watch this below PLEASE it's pretty short. Once you hear Adele singing, you can turn it off. Though, I had to listen to the whole thing because Adele's voice was just too amazing)

Pony took a deep breath. "Alright. Let's do this."

I clapped my hands together. "This is going to be a dangerous ride, but I'm up for it. I'm doing this for Gramps."

Derek came in and Pony hid the letters. He had a confused look on his face. "Someone with the name, Lead, just sent you this."

I furrowed my eyebrows at the vase of flowers. "Secret admirer I guess." Derek started laughing and pointed at Pony, "Looks like you have competition."

Pony chuckled and Derek gave me a hug. "You'll be out of this place tomorrow."

"Yay!" I flung my arms in the air, causing both of them to laugh. Derek left and then Pony pulled the letters back out, keeping his gaze towards the vase.

There was a letter attached.

I ripped the letter off and got a sick feeling in my stomach. It had the same handwriting the other letter did.

Ponyboy and Kieran. I have you two together now, so I'm just going to send one letter each day. But, then I got to thinking.

Wouldn't it be better to send you two on a scavenger hunt to find the letter?

It would be much more amusing to me.

I'm going under the name, Lead.

What is lead?

You can pronounce it two different ways. Lead, as in you leading something. Or lead, as in a pencil. You pronounce it however you like, although, I would prefer the first one. I am leading this, aren't I?

So, once Kieran gets out of the hospital, you two are going to look for the fourth letter. You'll know when you get to the very last letter.

You'll know.

So, here's the clue.

Triangle.

Y'all HAVE been in a triangle before, right?

"I didn't know what to say to her - I was caught in a love triangle with one dead side."-John Green

"This person has to know us. He HAS to live in the area. Otherwise, he wouldn't have known about any of this. He wouldn't have known about the bear, or the love triangle." I explained with venom laced in my voice. I was so pissed that if I was a cartoon, you could see steam blowing out of my ears.

"I think the first obvious place to look would be the picture frame." Ponyboy announced while leaning back in his chair. "Then, if we don't find it there, we can go over other options."

"What would other options be?"

It was silent, but then a light bulb went off in my head. "Triangle. He just mentioned the love triangle to throw us off, Pony. It's not in the picture frame. It's in Mr. Stilinski's room! He's a geometry teacher, plus-"

"He has a huge 3D triangle in the corner of his room!" Ponyboy finished the sentence for me.

"I could easily go in Mr. Stilinski's room, but how would I go over there without him noticing me feeling up his triangle?" I laughed.

"I could distract him while you get the letter, or vise-versa."

I nodded. "Alright. Looks like we're both going to school tomorrow even though Derek and Darry told us were not."

Pony groaned. "I'm already going to get in trouble and this is only going to be the first trip he sends us on!"

I laughed. "How much trouble could we get in for GOING TO SCHOOL? Parents would love that."

Pony shrugged. "I guess you're right."

I flipped my hair. "I always am."

He grinned at me, "Looks like we're going on one hell of an adventure this summer."
