You rolled your eyes and walked up to the lab where Tony and Bruce were. You took a seat on one of the chairs that were there.

"Is everything okay?" Bruce asked taking in your appearance. "Yeah, I was just questioning Loki," you replied. "Oh, him, I don't like him," Tony told you. You laughed and said, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure no one does."

He nodded his head and Fury came in the room saying, "How's everything going in here?" "Well, it would go a lot faster if we could get through phase 2. What is phase 2 anyway?" Tony asked.

All of a sudden, Steve came into the room and said, "Phase 2 is SHIELD uses the Tesseract to make weapons." You all looked at Steve and then Fury. Fury tried to defend himself by saying, "Rogers, we gathered everything related to the tesseract. That does not mean that we're..."

Tony interrupted Nick by turning his computer and showing everyone plans for the weapons. "I'm sorry, Nick, what were you lying?" Tony asked. "I was wrong, Director. This world hasn't changed a bit," Steve said, and you noticed Natasha and Thor walking in.

"Did you know about this?" Bruce asked Natasha. "You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor," Natasha responded. "I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed," Bruce replied.

"Loki's manipulating you," Natasha told him. "And you've been doing what exactly," Bruce snapped back. "You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you," Natasha retorted. "Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.

"Because of him," Nick finally said, pointing to Thor. "Me?" Thor asked, surprised. "Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned," Fury explained.

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet," Thor defended. "But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled," Fury replied.

"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve asked. "Your work with the tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war," Thor informed all of you.

"A higher form?" Steve questioned. "You forced our hand. We had to come up with something," Nick said. "Nuclear deterrent, because that always calms everything right down," Tony said, jumping into the conversation.

"Remind me again how you made your fortune Stark," Nick replied. You stood up and said, "Come on, guys everyone needs to just calm down." "I thought humans were more evolved than this," Thor muttered.

"Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?" Fury retorted. "Did you always give your champions such mistrust?" Thor questioned. "Are you boys really that naive? SHIELD monitors potential threats," Natasha defended. "Watch list?" Bruce asked.

"I swear to God Stark, one," Steve said. "You're on that list? Are you more crack..." Tony said, but Steve interrupted him saying, "Above or below angry bees?" 'Threatened, I feel threatened," Tony announced.

You rolled your eyes and looked at the scepter, the blue gem on it started glowing. "Guys," you said, but they weren't paying attention to you. "You speak of control, yet you court chaos," Thor told everyone.

"It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, we're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're...we're a time-bomb," Bruce replied. "You need to step away," Fury warned.

"Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?" Tony said, putting an arm around Steve. Steve pushed Tony off and said, "You know damn well why, back off!" "Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me," Tony replied.

You stood up and pushed the boys apart. "Guys, stop," you told them. "Big man in a suit of armor, take that off, what are you?" Steve said. "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist," Tony responded with a smug smile.

Steve returned the smug smile and said, "I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire, and let the other guy crawl over you."

"I think I would just cut the wire," Tony replied, smirking. Steve laughed and said, "Always a way out...You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."

"A hero? Like you? You're a lab rat, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle!" Tony retorted. "Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds," Steve said. "You people are so petty...and tiny," Thor said laughing.

"Agent Romanoff, would you please escort Dr. Banner back to his...," Nick started to say but was cut off. "Where? You rented my room," Bruce said referring to the cage Loki was put in. "The cell was just in case..." Nick started but was cut off again.

"In case you need to kill me, but you can't, I know, I've tried. I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out. So I moved on, I focused on helping other people. I was good until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!" Bruce said, unconsciously grabbing the scepter.

"You want to know my secret Agent Romanoff? You want to know how I stay calm?" Bruce asked. "Doctor Banner put the scepter down," Steve said. Bruce looked at the scepter while the computer beeped and everyone looked at it.

"Sorry kids, it looks like you don't get to see my party trick," Bruce muttered. "Located the tesseract?" Thor asked. "I can get to it the fastest," Tony announced. "Look, all of us..." Steve started.

"The tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it," Thor said, interrupting Steve. Tony started walking away and Steve stopped him. "You're not going alone," Steve said.

"Are you going to stop me?" Tony asked. "Put on the suit let's find out," Steve replied. You pulled them away again, saying, "Guys, just stop fighting." "I'm not afraid to hit an old man," Tony said.

"Put on the suit," Steve said. "Oh my God!" Bruce suddenly said, causing you all to look in his direction. All of a sudden, there was a huge explosion, and everyone went flying. Steve helped Tony up, who helped you up and Steve said, "Put on the suit." "Yeah," Tony agreed.

Tony had one arm around your waist helping you walk and you said, "I'm going to go find Natasha and Bruce." "Be careful," Steve told you. You nodded your head and ran down to the lower part of the helicarrier.

You saw Natasha running, and then you saw the Hulk chasing her. You gasped and started running with her, and then, you had nowhere to run and the Hulk was about to smash you both when Thor knocked him off his feet into the next room.

Natasha sat down and you ran to go help Thor. You watched as Hulk and Thor continued to fight and Thor told him we weren't his enemies. "Thor, what can I do?" you asked, but just then, the Hulk punched Thor in the face, and he went flying.

You ran to Thor, to get away from the Hulk, and when you got to him you saw Thor standing up, and touching his lip. "Are you okay?" you asked him. He nodded his head, holding out his hand for his hammer.

"Let me see," you said, grabbing his face so you could see the cut. "Its' not bad," you said, hearing the Hulk's roar getting louder and louder. Thor smiled at you staring into your E/C eyes, and then his hammer flew into his hand, and Thor uppercut the Hulk.

They continued to fight, and you made your way to Steve. "Hey," you said approaching him, and then all of a sudden you were both being shot at. A bullet grazed your arm, but it was nothing serious at all.

You grabbed a gun and shot at the shooters alongside Steve. When the men were down you said, "Repair that engine, I'm going to go see if anyone else needs help." Steve nodded his head, and you walked out into the main lobby.

You ran to the room where Loki's cage was, just in time to see Thor get locked in it. You gasped and saw that Loki was going to drop Thor out of the plane. "Move away please," Coulson said, stepping in with a large gun.

Loki moved away for a second and Phil said, "You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you want to find out?" Phil asked.

All of a sudden, Phil was stabbed through the heart by Loki's scepter. "No!" Thor and you yelled at the same time. "Coulson!" you yelled, running more into the room. "Ah, the brave little soldier. I was wondering if you'd come," Loki said with a smirk.

"Leave her alone Loki," Thor said. You glared at Loki and said, "You killed him." "Yes, he isn't the first, dear," Loki replied. Then he stood behind you and stabbed the scepter through your stomach.

You gasped, and Loki said, "And he certainly won't be the last." "No! Loki!" Thor yelled trying to break the glass but it started to fall. Loki laughed and then dropped Thor. "You're going to lose," Coulson told Loki.

"Am I?" Loki asked looking at Coulson. "It's in your nature," Phil replied. "Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky...where is my disadvantage?" Loki asked. "You lack conviction," Phil told him.

"I don't think I..." Loki started but was cut off when he was hit by a blast from the gun Coulson was holding earlier. "So, that's what it does," Phil said. You did your best to make your way over to Coulson while holding your stomach that poured blood from it,

"You're going to make it through this Coulson," you said. "We both are," Phil responded smiling at you. You nodded your head and saw Phil falling asleep, and you tried to make him stay awake, but you couldn't.

He was gone, and you started falling asleep too. All of a sudden, Steve, Fury, and Hill came into the room. "Oh my God," Steve said rushing to your side. He tried to pick you up, but you pushed him off and said, "Help Phil, first."

Steve shook his head no and said, "You need help. Fury and Hill will take care of Coulson." Then, he lifted you and carried you out into the main lobby where everyone saw you.

Tony ran up to you and Steve and asked, "What happened?" "Loki," you replied, barely above a whisper. Steve took you to the medical room where they stopped the bleeding and patched you up.

They took you to a replica of a hospital room and lied you down, making sure they kept a close eye on you, and you slept for the rest of the night.
