You woke up the next morning in the Hydra room that Dmitri and Johann had given you. It was surprisingly a nice room. It had a dresser with a vanity mirror on it, and about six drawers, it had a nightstand, and it had a queen-sized bed that was very comfortable.
The furniture and walls were all painted red and black and there was one window in the room, but it was very small. There was an alarm clock on the dresser, and a phone on the nightstand, in case anyone needed to reach you, but besides that, the entire room was empty.
You got up and combed through your hair with your fingers because you didn't have a brush. You had brought your purse with you into Hydra, and you had put it by your nightstand last night.
So, you grabbed it and pulled out your make-up, and you also had some gum in there, so you had a piece to freshen up your breath since you didn't have a toothbrush either. You looked halfway decent, and then you heard a knock on the door.
You opened it and there was an Agent there. "Hello, are you Y/F/N?" he asked. "Yes," you replied, unsure of why he wanted to know. "The boss wanted me to give this to you," he said, holding out an outfit that was exactly identical to the other agents.
"Thank you," you said, taking the outfit from the guy. He nodded and then walked away, and you shut the door. You put on the outfit and folded your old clothes so that you could fit them in your purse, easily.
You then walked out into the endless corridors of the Hydra base. You tried finding your way around, but it took you a while to find Dmitri. "Ah, Y/N, just the person I was looking for. Mr. Schmidt would like to see you," Dmitri told you. "Okay, thank you, I will make my way over to him," you responded with a smile.
You then left Dmitri and walked to Johann's office. You went to knock on the door to the office, but you heard voices inside. You put your ear to the door to tried to listen in on the conversation.
"I told you from the beginning that if you messed up, I would end you. Yet, you messed up anyways," you heard Johann say. You gasped slightly and tried to stay silent. "I'm sorry sir, please, don't hurt me. I have a wife, and two kids," he tried to say, and then ear-piercing screams came from the room, and then they stopped all of a sudden.
"If anyone else would like to disappoint me, please, let me know, so I can just kill you now," Schmidt snarled. You heard a few low whimpers and opened the door slightly so you could see what was going on. "Now, let's move on," he said, and then pulled out the tesseract, "The tesseract is one of the most powerful things to ever have existed. As the tesseract in our possession, we now have immense power."
You let your eyes wander around the room a bit, and noticed that there was no dead body to be found. What had happened to it? You continued to listen to the conversation going on in the room. There were about ten agents in there, along with the doctor, who were all listening intently to Schmidt.
"Now that we have this great power what are we going to do with it?" he asked the people. "Control the world," the agents said. "And who will be your supreme leader?" Johann asked. "The Red Skull," they all replied in unison. Johann smirked a bit and he said, "Hail Hydra."
"Hail Hydra!" the men shouted back at Schmidt without hesitation. Johann was about to dismiss the lot of people, until the Doctor pulled him aside, closer to the door you were hiding behind.
You closed the door before they could notice you, but you still pressed your ear to it. "What is it, Doctor?" Schmidt. "These men, sir, their entire unit has betrayed you. "What?" Johann snarled. "I suspected something was up with them so I followed them, and," the Doctor said, pausing for a moment.
"Well, what is it, Doctor? What did you find out?" Johann asked. "They've been working with SHIELD," the Doctor whispered, afraid that Johann would take his rage out on him. Johann took a deep breath in and then let out a low growl. "Thank you, Doctor," Johann said, and they both moved away from the door.
You opened the door slightly again so that you remained hidden, but could see everything that was going on. Johann walked onto a machine that had a seat in it and what looked to be a large blaster gun attached to it.
You noticed the Doctor connected the tesseract to the machine and then back away. "Change of plan, boys, you have to die," Johann said. He then used the machine and blasted it. Blue energy came out of it and struck every man.
As soon as the blast hit each man, the man vaporized. No wonder why you didn't see the body of the man who was first killed. You gasped in horror as each one of the men was killed. 'Oh my God, I have to get out of here,' you thought to yourself.
You figured that pretending to play dumb like you still thought you were trying to make the world a better place by being here, was the best option. Then, you walked away from the room, composed yourself, and came back about five minutes later.
You knocked on the door, and you heard Johann let out a loud sigh and mutter, "What now?" He came over to the door and opened it, and his scowl turned into a forced smile. "Y/N, did you need something?" he asked.
"Dmitri said that you wanted to see me," you responded with a small smile. "Ah, yes, I wanted to ask you if the outfit fits you comfortably," Johann replied.
You looked down at the Hydra suit you were wearing and looked back up at Schmidt with a smile. "It fits great, and I like the color combination. It makes the outfit go with everything," you said with a small chuckle.
Schmidt also gave a small laugh and said, "Great, I think you will make an excellent addition to our organization." "Thank you, sir," you replied. He nodded and said, "Well, if you find Dmitri he will give you the full tour of the base, and give you an assignment."
You nodded and left Johann's office. You walked down the corridors and noticed the main entrance. It was open, with only three guards there. You could easily take out the three guards, but there was a pathway that led up to the Hydra base which you remember was also guarded by agents.
By your quick skim you counted ten agents, give or take a few. You walked more throughout the base and found Dmitri. "Y/N, did you see the boss?" he asked. "Yes," you responded. "Good, then I can give you your first assignment," he replied.
"What is my first assignment?" you asked, trying to sound curious, even though you were a bit frightened as to what he might say. Dmitri gave you smile and said, "The boss has instructed me that your first will be to have a tour of the base."
You nodded your head and returned the smile. "Well, let's get started," you said, forcefully grinning. Dmitri nodded and said, "Yes, we'd better." Dmitri led you down many corridors and showed you many features that the Hydra base had.
You were actually quite surprised as to how nice the base was. There were enough bedrooms for every Hydra member. There was a very nice kitchen and dining area, a training room, and many other features.
Finally, Dmitri had taken you to the room that you had been dying to see – the weapons room. Dmitri took you inside and you noticed the large array of weapons they had there. There were knives and many types of guns, there were even some weapons that you had never seen before. However, they had a glowing blue look to them, which led you to the conclusion that Hydra made these weapons using the tesseract.
On one of the walls, there were many hooks and each one held a few utility belts. You looked around the room and then looked back at Dmitri. On the same wall, next to the belts, there were a bunch of shelves that reached from the bottom of the floor to the top of the ceiling. These shelves were stacked with tons of ammunition.
"Do you like it? It took us a whole year to finish and buy everything," Dmitri told you. "Yes it's very admirable," you replied. "Thank you. Well, go on, grab a few," Dmitri said. You looked at him slightly confused. "Really?" you asked.
He nodded and said, "Us Hydra agents have got to be protected from our enemies. "Why do we have enemies?" you questioned, wondering if Dmitri would tell you the truth.
He took a breath in to say the answer that first came to his mind – the truth – then he stopped himself, and instead said, "Because not everyone wants to help the world as we do." You slightly sighed to yourself thinking, 'Wrong answer.'
You quickly put on your best smile and walked over to the utility belts. You grabbed one and strapped it around your hips. You then walked over to the guns and grabbed an automatic 48 colt. You slid it into its holder in the utility belt and then grabbed a knife.
You weren't very good with knives, but you figured that it would be useful when you tried to escape. You stuck the knife in the spot designated for it in the utility belt. You grabbed some ammunition for your colt and strapped it into your belt.
You were ready to escape. There was only one thing that stood in your way – Dmitri Artemis. You whispered a quick sorry, and then took one of the big guns off of the shelf and struck Dmitri across the head with it. He fell to the ground, knocked out cold.
Not wanting people to suspect why you had such a big gun when you were a new recruit, you put the gun back and left the room. You walked towards the main entrance and waited until the only guards who were there were the three that were guarding the door.
Then you loaded the magazine into your gun. You cocked the gun and then took a deep breath in. "Here we go," you whispered to yourself. Then you walked through the main doors and when the guards came closer to you, you shot them all.
They fell to the ground and you ran through to the next wave of guards. You went to shoot one, but just as you were about to pull the trigger, another guard knocked the gun out of your hands. "Damn it," you said.
You used your hand combat skills to fight off the four guards that were surrounding you. Luckily, they didn't have their guns at the moment, but that wasn't the same situation for the other guards.
You progressed through the pathway out of the base only for more agents to come up to you, with their guns. You did your best to fight them off, and you managed to knock three of them out, but then another four came you fought them, but one struck you in your temple with their gun.
You touched the side of your head where the man hit you, and then looked at your fingers. Crimson red blood dripped down the side of your fingers, and the side of your face. You ignored it for the moment and continued to fight.
You knocked out another two of the guards and just as you were going to attack another, one of the agents held your arms back and the other came with a knife and plunged it into your side. You gasped as you struggled to breathe for a moment. You looked down and saw your blood falling to the ground.
You snapped out of your trance and then threw your head back, headbutting the guard who was holding you right in the face. He let go of you and you turned around and punched him hard enough to knock him out. Now you were down to the last guard.
You took in a shaky breath, and your vision was already going blurry. You tumbled about as you tried to take a few lunges at him. He dodged each one swiftly and landed a punch to your jaw.
You fell to the ground, but you got up and continued to fight. You took out your knife as your last hope and swung it around trying to plunge it into the last guard. He dodged each thrust you took at him.
You lunged at him, and he moved and pushed you to the ground. You got back up and he came behind you. He grabbed your throat in his hands and started choking you. You were struggling to stay alive.
You gripped tight to your knife and plunged it behind you, right into the stomach of the man. He let go of you and you pulled your knife out, turned around, and plunged it into the man's chest. You let the man fall to the ground, just as Schmidt was coming out to see what all of the commotions was about.
You gasped and started running holding your side where the agent had plunged the knife in you. "Get her!" you heard Johann yell. You started running as hard as you can, but, due to the blood loss, your vision was getting blurry.
You continued to run, and after about twenty minutes you saw that you were approaching the outskirts of New York. You ran harder, and soon reached the beginning of the city. You ran through a series of alleyways, trying to escape the agents, and when you looked behind yourself, you noticed the agents were gone.
However, just as you turned back to the front of you, there were about six people there with guns. "Freeze!" one of them yelled. You gasped and put one hand up, the other pressed to your wound. "Please! Don't hurt me!" you yelled.
You noticed one of the agents come closer, and you tried to take a step back, but you stumbled a bit. The agent came more into the light of a streetlamp and you saw that he was carrying a bow and arrow, and was wearing a purple suit.
"Okay, relax, Ma'am, we aren't going to hurt you. My name is Clint Barton, what's yours?" the agent asked. "I-I'm Y/F/N," you replied. Clint nodded his head and gave you a small smile and then looked at your side.
"You're bleeding," he noted. You looked down at the wound. He took another step closer to you and said, "Please, let me help you." You nodded your head and took a step closer to him, but just as you did, you collapsed unable to stay conscious any longer. Clint caught you swiftly in his arms and carried you to his car.
