The Next Day
10:03a.m. Yamada-Aizawa Residence
Izuku woke up in bed curled up next to his heroic dads. He was still tired so he stayed there for a while, not wanting to disturb the other two men. Soon he felt Shota start to wake up next to him. "Hey Izu," he said upon noticing that the boy was awake.
"G'morning dad,"he said, curling closer to him. His dad put an arm around him and embraced him tightly.
"Hey Izu, do you want to help me make breakfast before your other dad wakes up?"
"Sure!" The pair got out of bed, Izuku still clinging to his dad's shirt. They made their way to the kitchen and began to prepare fried rice and eggs. About twenty minutes later Hizashi stumbled into the room to be met with the delicious meal.
"Well isn't this a nice way to wake up?" The blond sat down with his family and they began to eat. Once they were finished Hizashi looked over at Shota, who motioned for him to take Izuku to the livingroom. He picked up the small child and headed towards the livingroom, with Shota following close behind.
"Izuku, you know we have to talk about what happened yesterday, right?" Shota got a head nod in response. "Why have you been saying you're quirkless all this time?"
"I thought I was...I didn't know I could do that."
Hizashi looked confused,"Do you remember how you felt when you acrivated your quirk?"
"Yea..."
"Try to feel that way again, look back on the events of yesterday if you have to." Present Mic had grown very good at quirk training due to his job at U.A. and had an idea of how to help his son.
Izuku closed his eyes tightly and conjured the memories of the previous day.
Everything was going wrong.
All Might couldn't move.
He pulled and squirmed until the man dropped him and ran over to the fight.
He was scared and angry. A bad guy was hurting his family!
Izuku lifted his hands slowly in front of him.
"STOP!" He opened his eyes and looked around. Everything was frozen again. He walked over to his dads and unfroze them.
"GREAT JOB LITTLE LISTENER!" Hizashi shouted.
"Christ, you two are so loud," Aizawa said covering his ears. "However, that was impressive kiddo. I think, since we know what we're working with now, that its time to start your training."
12:07p.m. A Public Hero Dojo
Eraserhead had a capture scarf specially made for Izuku, expecting him to be quirkless. Upon the discovery of his son's quirk he called the company that made the scarf, bu they confirmed that it would still work as long as Izuku was able move. Eraserhead had put on his costume and took Izuku to a special hero training dojo.
When they got there Izuku's eyes went wide. He was then told by his father to keep up. "Since we don't want to over exert your quirk, I'll be teaching you how to use your capture scarf today."
"I get my own scarf?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"Yes." Eraserhead remained stoic while handing the young boy a wooden box. "As soon as you touch the material it will only follow the commands you give it via brainwave. Because your quirk doesn't produce static like mine I had the company design yours so that you don't need a quirk to operate it."
The boy slowly opened the box and lifted the scarf out. He looked at it for a moment then put it on. He looked at himself in one of the mirrors hanging on the walls. He smiled over a his dad,"Now we look alike dad! See!" He grabbed his father's hand and pulled him over so he was in the mirror too.
"Yea, I guess so." He chuckled lightly. "Alright, now lets start training."
For the next few hours Aizawa helped Izuku get the hang of his scarf. By the end of the day he was able to extend and retract the scarf quickly. "Tomorrow we'll work on wraping, ok?"
Izuku nodded eagerly. They walked out of the dojo hand in hand with their scarves till on, only to be met by a hoard of press members. 'Damn, this is what I get for training the kid in a public dojo.' Eraserhead held on to his son's hand tightly, pushing his way through the croud. After a few minutes they finally made it to their car and drove off.
"Hey dad, can I ask you a question?"
"You just did."
"Oh you know what I mean," he said pouting.
"Ok, what is is kid?"
"If the scarf listened to me only after I touched it, then what about the people who touched it before me? What if someone touches it in the future?"
Aizawa sighed, "Such a busy mind for such a young child. I made sure that the people who made your scarf never touched it with an uncovered hand. As for your other question, as long as you don't willingly give up your scarf to a new master it doesn't matter who it touches. Like I said, it senses your brainwaves. You controll it."
That answer seemed to satisfy the child because the rest of the car ride passed silently.
The Next Day
7:00a.m. Bakugou Residence
Katsuki Bakugou rolled out of bed that morning to get ready for school. He hated mondays. He always has and always will. He put on his clothes and walked downstairs into his kitchen to get breakfast. His mom was at the stove cooking so he sat on one of the barstools to wait for his breakfast. Impatient as always he looked around for something to do. Thats when he saw the newspaper. He pulled it towards him and saw the headline.
A Hero In Training! Is He The Next Eraserhead? Underneath was something that young Katsuki was unprepared to see. There was a picture of Deku holding Eraserhead's hand!
"Mom!" He shouted, getting his mother's attention, "What the hell is Deku doing with a hero?" He lifted the paper so his mother could see. All she did was sigh and sit next to him.
"Well sweety, its time I told you something." Katsuki knew something was wrong because his mother never called him sweety. "Do you remember how there was a fire at the appartment that Auntie Inko and Izuku lived in?"
Katsuki nodded and said, "Yeah, thats why they had to move away!"
"They didn't move away Katsuki. Well, at least Auntie Inko didn't..." His mother was now crying softly. "Auntie Inko passed away in the fire. Izuku was sent into fostercare. I didn't tell you because you were so young. I didn't think you would be able to take it."
"Why didn't Deku tell me about this?" He was so furious and sad, but he knew the answer already. It was because he bullied him. What the hell else was Deku keeping from him? Katsuki got up and ran out of the house, forgetting all about breakfast. He ran all the way to his school. When he got there he sat behind a bush and started to cry. About half an hour passed before anybody noticed that he was there.
"Kacchan... what are you doing?"
Kasuki quickly looked up and wiped away his tears,"None of your buisness Deku!" He quickly pushed past the other boy and ran to his class.
3:15p.m. Masegaki Primary School
The bell rang to signal the end of the school day. Izuku was still worried about Kacchan. He wanted to ask him about what was wrong but knew that if he did he would regret it. He decided to just go home. He quickly walked out of the building. He was almost at the gates when he was grabbed by the collar of his shirt. He was dragged into a small shed near the main building.
"You think you can get away from me that easily Deku?" Kacchan looked angrier than usual. "Damn it Deku...you've been lying to me for two years! Did you think I was going to let you get away with that?" Izuku kept his mouth shut out of fear. He was shaking and trying to get out of the larger boy's grasp. "Answer me damn it!" Kacchan said as he landed an explosive punch on the green-haired boy's face. He and his cronies continued to beat on deku until they were satisfied. They were crule, but not stupid so they avouded bruising his face so adults wouldn't see.
Izuku didn't know how much time had passed. After Bakugou and his friends left and he was sure they were gone he got up and walked home.
The Same Time Bakugou Residence
Katsuki ran up to his room the moment he got home and flopped down on his bed. He began sobbing into his bedsheets. He thought that beating up Deku would make him feel better, but it didn't. 'Damn it Deku! Why didn't you just tell me? How are you not broken yet? You lost your mother, you should be shattered! Why don't you talk to me about it Deku?!?'
4:00p.m. Yamada-Aizawa Residance
Izuku half walked, half limped through the door. "Izuku! We were getting worried, where were you?" Present Mic took a moment to take in his son's condition then with more concern in his voice he repeated his question,"Where were you?"
