"S-01, Lena Luthor, confirmed, access granted, S-07, Cora Essex, confirmed, access granted." Brainy heard the Zeta tube AI say as the tube whirled to life as Lena and Cora came walking out of it.

"Where is she?" Lena asked of her fiance, since she'd come as soon as she'd gotten Brainy's call and Kora had insisted on coming with her when she'd heard.

"Still healing in the solar pod. Her injuries were extensive." Brainy said, since Powergirl and Darkstar had rushed Supergirl into the pod as soon as they'd evacuated her from the fight.

"Where's Karen and Donna?" Lena asked.

"Standing guard over the solar chamber to make sure Kara doesn't leave until she's fully healed and to make sure she isn't attacked while she's vulnerable. Just in case they were followed back here." Brainy said.

"Good. I'll go relieve them from guard duty. I don't want to let Kara out of my sight until she's healed." Lena said and Brainy nodded.

"I suspected as much. Dreamer is currently on patrol for Supergirl's attacker, but she has orders not to engage, since she wouldn't stand a chance." Brainy said.

"Have you informed the League?" Lena asked, right as the Zeta tube whirled to life again.

"07, Green Lantern, confirmed, 06, Martian Manhunter confirmed, 20, Blue Beetle, confirmed." the AI said as Alex, J'onn and Felicity all came out of the tube.

"How's she doing?" Alex asked.

"Healing slowly. She took a lot of damage from her attacker. It will take time before the solar pod has fully healed her." Brainy said.

"Is she conscious?" J'onn asked.

"No. She blacked out on the flight here and I haven't seen a need to wake her up, since the healing process is no doubt painful, since her powers were greatly drained keeping her alive." Brainy said, since his initial scans of Supergirl's solar energy readings when she'd arrived and they were dangerously low. It was clear that whatever energy she still had was being used to keep her alive.

"What's the status of her powers?" Alex asked.

"Drained, even with exposure to the solar pod. All the energy she's absorbing now is being used to help heal and once her body is fully healed, I'm going to have to pull her out, even though her powers still won't be restored yet." Brainy said.

"Why?" Felicity asked.

"Even a kryptonian has limits to the amount of solar energy they can absorb. If Kara's cells absorb too much energy at once, they'll become unstable. The very energy that gives her power could destroy her. She'd be like Icarus, who flew too close to the sun." Brainy said.

"You're saying that energy could kill her?" Alex asked.

"Not just her. If her cells absorb more energy than they can handle, it'll act like a bomb and turn her into a supernova that could wipe out the whole city. It's true what they say. In some cases, too much of a good thing is dangerous. Lethal even." Brainy said.

"Then don't risk it. As soon as Kara has absorbed all the energy she can safely, pull her out." Lena said, right as the computers beeped.

"That would be a signal that the pod is powering down. I suggest that Lena bring those into Kara while the rest of us give her some privacy, since I don't think Kara would appreciate her friends and family seeing her in her current state. Which is why I asked you to bring that bag." Brainy said, referring to the bag Lena had over her shoulder.

"And what is that state?" Alex asked as Lena looked in the bag and what was in it.

"I'm guessing that whatever she was wearing didn't survive the infusion?" Lena asked, since the bag contained some of Kara's regular clothes.

"Her suit was already badly damaged in the fight and I thought it would be best to burn off what was left to allow the solar chamber full access to all her injuries. Thankfully the only thing inside the chamber that's visible when it's closed is the face of whoever's in it. I've turned the pod off, but I'll refrain from opening it until it's just you two in there to preserve her modesty." Brainy said and Lena nodded at him gratefully before she headed to the solar chamber.

After dismissing Karen and Donna from their guard posts, Lena was grateful that there weren't any surveillance cameras in this chamber for this exact purpose before she told Brainy over the comms to open the pod, since while Kara was still out, she could see her love regaining consciousness and she knew Kara would not like waking up in a pod, due to the fact that she was claustrophobic.

The pod quickly lowered itself to the ground and opened with a hissing sound, revealing Kara, still unconscious, but fully healed and Lena quickly rushed forward to grab her fiance she fell over.

"Oh dear. Brainy wasn't kidding when he said he burned off all your clothes." Lena said of Kara's current state of undress, understanding why Brainy had told her to bring everything Kara would need. Shirt, pants, jacket, socks, shoes and other things.

"Let's get some clothes on you before you wake up, since while I adore you in this state, I don't think you want everyone else to see you like it, especially since we have a lot to talk about." Lena said as she dumped the clothes out of the bag and rather than waste time trying to force Kara's body into her clothes without waking her up and being gentle, Lena decided to take a short cut.

"Seyhtolc lla emoceb" Lena said and in a flash of violet light, the clothes quickly lifted up into the air and moved to up themselves Kara's body, stretching and manipulating themselves as necessary until Kara was now dressed in a white top, jeans, black boots and her favorite bright blue leather jacket. Lena felt inside her jacket pocket for the final piece of Kara's outfit, but she'd give it to her when she woke up.

Speaking of which, Kara groaned as she fully woke up.

"Welcome back love." Lena said with a smile.

"I don't even want to know how I got here, but thank Rao I'm dressed." Kara said, since she was too aware of how awkward it was when she came out of the chamber in a different way.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Lena asked as Kara groaned again, but for another reason this time.

"I remember getting the crap beat out of me by Astraea." Kara said.

"So you knew the woman who attacked you?" Lena asked.

"It's a long story and one I'd rather give once and I'm assuming there are others who want to hear it?" Kara asked.

"Yeah. You good to make it out there on your own?" Lena asked.

"I won't be flying anywhere anytime soon, but I can walk." Kara said, since she could tell that while her injuries were healed, her powers weren't back yet.

"Of course not. Even if you had your powers, which you won't for at least a few days, after the beating you just took, you're grounded. Especially since you don't even have a suit to wear anymore, since I'm not letting you just remake your old one. This encounter proves that you need an upgrade. Something to do a better job of protecting you against threats like this. Not even Darkseid was able to hurt you that badly. I was terrified when I got Brainy's call and he told me how badly you were hurt. I didn't think it was possible for a Kryptonian to get hurt that badly on this planet. And from the sound of it, you didn't really fight back. I don't know what the deal is, but you have a fiance and a daughter to think about, not to mention a dog who would be almost as devastated to lose you as I would. I don't know why you didn't fight back against her, promise me, next time, you'll at least defend yourself and anyone she puts in danger. You have too many people who love you to risk losing you and several of them want to see you now. And I think we all want an explanation." Lena said and Kara nodded.

"It's a long story. But I think I might have found my Lex." Kara said and Lena did not like the sound of that.
