(y/n) POV
I barely slept that night. Dick and I spent a lot of time talking after our friends left us. Around eight the next morning, Bruce, Barbara, Tim, and Alfred came by to check on me. They ended up sticking around for a long time. Before I knew it, it was eleven in the morning. There was a knock on the door.
"Come on in," Bruce said.
I heard the doctor walk into the room.
"Good morning, everyone," he greeted. "Are you ready, (y/n)?"
"As I'll ever be," I replied with a smile on my face.
I swung my legs over the bedside and sat still as the doctor walked towards me. I heard my family shuffle around the room, moving out of the way. Dick stayed seated in the chair by my bed.
"Now, (y/n)," the doctor said. "I want you to close your eyes. I'm going to slowly take off the bandage. When I tell you, I want you to open your eyes very slowly so you don't overwhelm them."
I nodded and shut my eyes. I suddenly felt the doctor's hand on my head. He gently took hold of the bandages and began to unwrap them. It felt like there was an endless amount of bandages, but soon, I could no longer feel their weight on my head.
"Mr. Wayne, if you could dim the lights please." I heard Bruce move to the door. "Alright, (y/n). Open your eyes very slowly."
I took a deep breath before slowly opening my eyes. I squinted slightly when I saw rays of light enter my vision. I opened my eyes the rest of the way, blinking as I did. I looked around the room. I saw multiple smiling faces looking at me. I smiled and laughed a little, tears filling my eyes.
"Oh my gosh," I said. "I can see you all." I looked at everyone and laughed. "I can't believe this. I can see you all."
Happy tears rolled down my face. Dick moved from his seat and sat beside me, wiping away my tears. I touched his face and smiled more. My brother had dark hair and bright blue eyes.
"I can see you, Dick," I whispered. "I can finally see you."
Dick simply smiled and hugged me tightly. I looked at the doctor.
"Thank you so much."
He nodded and after talking briefly with Bruce, he said goodbye and left the room. I stood up and walked to each person in the room, gently touching their faces to properly identify them. Barbara had reddish-orange hair. Tim, who stood next to her, had dark hair. Alfred's hair was white, along with his mustache, and Bruce's hair was dark. Everyone seemed to have bright blue eyes, minus Tim, whose eyes looked to be greyish. I laughed and hugged everyone.
"I can't believe this," I muttered as more tears rolled down my face.
Bruce wrapped his arms around me with a wide smile on his face.
"Come on, (y/n)," he said. "I have a feeling you are being expected back at the Watchtower."
~
I looked around in wonder at the Watchtower. I never really realized how big it was until now. Surprisingly, the main hall was empty, minus Kaldur, M'gann, Artemis, Wally, and my bat family. My friends were all smiling at me.
"Welcome back, (y/n)," Kaldur greeted. He had tan skin, pale hair, light blue eyes, and black markings on his arms. "How are you feeling?"
"Amazing," I replied. "I haven't felt this good in so long."
They smiled more. M'gann stepped forward and hugged me tightly. She had light green skin, a red pixie cut, and orange eyes.
"Hi, M'gann," I said, hugging her back. "Hey, Artemis, Wally." They nodded to me. Artemis gave me a hug and Wally swung his arm around my shoulder before Artemis pulled him away, making me laugh. Artemis had long blond hair and grey eyes while Wally had red hair and blue eyes. I glanced around. "Where are the others? I'm surprised they're not here."
"Oh, they're here alright," Wally laughed.
"We had to send them out before you arrived because they were so anxious for you to get back," Artemis explained.
"We probably shouldn't keep them waiting any longer then," I said.
Kaldur nodded to M'gann. She waved her hand and a door to our left opened. I felt a sudden gust of wind and arms wrap around my waist. I laughed and hugged Bart.
"(y/n)!"
I looked up and saw the rest of the team running towards me. I laughed and hugged each one of them. I took in each of their appearances as I recognized their voices. Garfield, Jaime, Karen, Mal, La'gaan, Virgil, and Cassie.
"Look out!" Garfield called with a laugh. "Incoming wolf!"
I knelt down and wrapped my arms around Wolf's neck, laughing.
"Hey, buddy," I said, rubbing his fur and scratching him behind his ears. "It's good to see you to."
He licked my face, making me laugh more. I pulled away from him and scratched his head some more. I then noticed another figure walking towards the group. Wolf looked at me for a moment before running to him. I felt a smile grow on my face as the boy smiled at Wolf before looking back at me. I stood up, recognizing his footsteps and the way he carried himself.
"Conner?" I said.
He stopped a few feet away, a small smile on his face.
"Hey, (y/n)," he replied.
I felt more tears fill my eyes. I stepped forward and put my hand on his cheek, gently feeling his features. My smile grew. Conner had dark hair that fell over his forehead slightly and his eyes were bright blue. I laughed and threw my arms around his neck. He steadied himself and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I can see you, Conner," I whispered.
"That's not a bad thing, is it?" he chuckled.
"Of course not. I'm just so happy that I can see everything now."
Conner smiled at me. He put his hand on my neck and placed a kiss on my lips. I smiled and kissed him back. I could hearing a few of our teammates groaning behind us while a few chuckled. I rolled my eyes and laid my head on Conner's shoulder.
"This has turned into the best day ever," I said with a wide smile on my face.
