I'm not only human after all

Richard and Mary were able to put together the forged documents to fool anyone and gave Kara some time to settle into their home and allowed her to give school on Earth a chance. Once the parents dropped off their kids off at school, they went to visit Susan at the Baxter Building where she works.

After the psychotic night at the park, Mary and Richard brought Kara into the labs for a better look at her and to hopefully get some answers of the previous night and Sue finally has some news for them.

Sue was there supervising everything, and as the computers were getting the scans they could off of Kara herself whilst also showing something that was discovered on her spaceship that they couldn't see due to the dark and the forest.

On the side of the ship contained a message from Kara's family that was apparently translatable as when they noticed it, it changed from what they guessed to be the Kryptonian language into English for their benefit it would seem.

"This vessel contains my daughter, Kara Zor-El from the now dead planet Krypton. Treat her as you would your own child. She will prove a treasure for your world." Richard read what was translated for them.

"Well, that's a bit unnecessary since we already planned on doing that." Mary supposed.

"Treasure." Sue repeated. "Is it possible that her parents knew about the fact she would have these powers?"

"It's possible, but how is it possible?" Mary guessed and questioned. "What caused them to suddenly activate?"

"According to Kara, Kryptonians lived under the conditions of a red sun, so it's possible that her body is able to metabolize energy from Earth's yellow sun. Similar to how us humans metabolize energy from their food, and she could use that energy to fuel these powers." Sue took a wild guess. "You did say she was out with you for most of the day after I left. Maybe that's all she needed to fuel up. One day's worth of solar charge." She then looked over the information the scans brought up. "It seems her cellular structure is extremely dense. Meaning she actually does metabolize sunlight. And that means she doesn't need a healthy diet to stay in shape, she just needs a day in the sun. What I wouldn't do for that type of power. There is no telling how powerful she is: she already has shown to have flight, heat vision, apparently she's also sensitive to sounds. But from what information this thing had," she then holds up a glowing crystal, "I was able to see how we can help her."

"Great. How?" Mary wonders.

Kara was currently in the halls of the new school and was constantly getting stares from everyone in the school, being the new girl and all. Not to mention she still has no control over her super hearing. She has been able to stop herself from constantly burning everything in sight but is still working on hearing.

Peter was by her side as often as he could as she seems to have problems with sounds, sight and more.

"Who's the new girl?" She could hear someone ask.

"Foster kid. Parker's parents took her in."

"Great. Another Penis Parker."

"Who wants a stranger living with them?"

"Come on, guys, really?"

"No one asked you, Danvers."

Kara covers her ears to block out the noise, but then the bell rings, causing her to be in more pain.

"Hey, Kara, it's okay." Peter whispers softly to not hurt Kara further just as the final bell rings. "Come on." He started to lead her out of the school.

Peter and Kara began to clear her head and to get her senses in order as were standing outside of school.

"The new girl's kinda strange." A passing comments as Kara spins around, looking at the sky as if it were new to her. Which it is.

"Hey, come on, man." Peter tells the classmate, but began to see other people are staring. Seeing he needs to do something , he goes up to her and stops Kara. "Hey, Kara, you shouldn't be doing that, everyone is staring."

"I'm sorry, we just didn't have birds on my planet." Kara tells him innocently.

"Da-da-da! That should be kept on the down low." Peter says, trying to make sure nobody heard that last part.

"Right...sorry." Kara apologizes.

"No, don't apologize." Peter assured her, knowing this is going to be as hard for her as it is for him. "I know it's a big adjustment, and I'm..."

Peter went on as his voice began to zone out whilst Kara hears someone screaming off in the distance, followed by a car crashing and runs off.

"Wait, where are you going?" Peter asks her, feeling like he was trying to explain something to her before she just took off.

Kara races off down the street and finds a car crashed and on fire. She leaps on top of the car and helps the driver by ripping off the door and pries her out of the car and then rescues the baby from the fire.

"Thank you." The mother thanks Kara and the car explodes as Peter quickly runs up to her and gets her out of there before anyone else could either see or them.

After that happened, they raced home and told their parents what happened, and Kara was sitting out on the porch of their home when Richard joins her.

Kara knew exactly what he was going to say and went ahead of it.

"I just wanted to help." Kara defends her actions before she could get talked off to.

"I know." Richard assures her he understands why she did it. "But, Kara, remember what we said. You have...you have to keep this side of yourself a secret."

"What was I supposed to do? Just let them die?" Kara questions him.

"No. But..." Richard sighed as he takes a seat next to her on the porch. "Look, doing what you can do makes you truly special. But right now, it's not safe. This world is scared about anything that's different. And now those kids and their parents are wondering how a little girl pulled off a rescue like that. We told them you were lucky, but that type of excuse won't work twice. I know you were just trying to help, but this world, right now, it just need you to focus on being Kara Parker." He explains to her, and she nods in understanding then pulls out some glasses and hearing aids from his pocket. "And these just might be able to help. Sue put these together for you. The frames are lined with lead. Help you suppress your powers and help you fit in."

Kara takes the glasses and tries them on and she actually kinda likes them. Richard gave her a hand with the hearing aids and set them to a human capacity of hearing.

"Thank you." Kara says and Richard pulls his daughter into a hug.

The aids seem to work as Kara didn't even hear the car that came up until it was just outside.

"Oh, there are a few members of the family that have been dying to meet you." Richard said with a smile as Kara looked confused whilst the two front doors of the car opened revealing two people, one looks like an older version of Richard with what looks to be half a police uniform on.

The other one was a woman who had what appeared to be reading glasses on and long flowing light brown hair, and she seemed to have a strong energetic attitude as the jumped out of the car and had a gigantic smile on her face.

"Hi!" She greeted them with a cheer.

"Hey, May." Richard greeted as he got up and walked over and received a hug from the man. "Ben. Great to see you."

"Great to see you're doing well." Ben comments before looking to Kara. "And this must be the new addition of the family." He says and walks over to Kara and kneed down to face her. "Hey, there. I'm Ben. You must be Kara."

"Yea, that's me." Kara says a little sheepishly at this new man.

"Oh, a little shy, huh?" Ben took notice of and looked over to Richard. "You sure she isn't your kid, little brother? Smart, shy, can talk people ears off." He recapped how Richard described her to him and saw as Kara blushed. "It's okay. I understand. It must be strange to you. Richard told me you lost your family. I'm truly sorry."

"Thank you." Kara whispers as May walked over to her.

"Hey, Kara. I'm going to be your Aunt May." May promised happily.

"And this is my wife." Ben gestured over to May. "Who is more energetic than shy." He whispers to Kara who laughs at that.

"And that's why you love me." May stated before pecking Ben's cheek and the door opened for Mary and Peter to exit.

"Aunt May!" Peter cheered and ran to hug his aunt.

"Oh, there's my favorite little nephew." May says and dropped down to hug Peter.

Kara watches the family interact and sees she got lucky with this family. She could've landed anywhere in the world, found by anybody. But she was found by Peter. This wonderful family that has given her love and support, been patient with her, and is doing all they can to help her.

This was a family that love her. And she loves them.

Meanwhile, the orange skinned, red haired teenager from the crash site sneaked onto a ferry and was able to make it onto the mainland but didn't make her move until dawn of darkness where she finds three workers getting boxes ready for shipping.

"Well, hello, beautiful." One of them greeted her with a smile.

"King jsem gahng sa'ham?" She asked them in a hurry.

"Whoa, wait, what is that Swedish?" He asked her and walked closer towards the girl. "Come on, sweetheart. Let old Gus give you a private lesson in foreign relations."

The girl then grabbed his arm and crushed it with ease, causing the man to cry in agony before dropping down as she let go of his hand.

The two coworkers ran up to her and was shocked. "Hey, lady, I know Gus is a jerk, but you didn't need to-"

He didn't get to finish that thought as she blasted something from her hands that sent him flying.

The last of them took off his coat and handed it over to her. "I didn't see anything. I have nothing to do with them." He promised and handed her the coat before running off, leaving her with the unconscious workers and the coat.

She placed it on, and it covered most of her body and up to her knees, but it left her legs and feet exposed.

Quickly she raced off to try to find somewhere to hide and hopefully find some better clothes.

Gotham

A woman was at a bus stop, waiting for her bus when all of a sudden she was kidnapped by a creature that flew in, revealing to be a Parademon.

Which is created by the tried and true process of deconstructing and repurposing genetic material from dead and captured enemies of Apokolips transformed with the help from Mother Boxes. But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

The woman is carried off by the creature just as a glowing green blur comes flying in and followed them before appearing ahead of the Parademon that had just climbed a tower.

"Going somewhere, buddy?" Hal Jordon, AKA the Green Lantern asked him.

The Parademon doesn't respond and leaps over the gasps of the buildings with the woman screaming the entire way.

"All right. You wanna dance?" Hal asked with a smile while raising his fist to reveal the glowing ring. "Let's dance!" He then blasted energy from it to wrap the Parademon up and revealed to be a dragon as the front created a face and two giant wings.

The dragon than roars at the Parademon, only frightening the woman more as she shrieks in terror.

"Your move, precious." Hal dared the Parademon who responded with dropping the woman. "No! NO!"

Hal then quickly flew after the woman and quickly used his ring's powers to cushion her fall by creating a baseball glove, followed by it turning into an elevator. "Going up." He then placed her safely on top of a building and let her out by opening the doors.

The woman had a look of shock, fear, and terror on her face as she faced Hal. "You saved me."

"Sure did, Miss." Hal said triumphantly. "The name's-"

"What's the catch?" She questioned him sternly.

Hal looked confused at that before scoffing and taking off. "You're welcome, lady!"

"And how am I supped to get down from here?" She questioned.

Hal didn't respond and continued to fly around, searching to try and find where the Parademon went to.

"Now where'd you go?" Hal whispered as he looked down on the city from above when the Parademon came in and attacked from behind and sent the two falling to the ground.
