The night before all of that, Namor McKenzie was currently sulking at a bar near the shore of New York and was currently consulting his life's problems with his new friend, the lobster.

"I know how you feel, Buddy." Namor said as he downed another shot. "I feel like I'm trapped in a box with nowhere to go, too. I had to burry my dad. Now I'm alone." He then sighed as he leaned against the aquatic beings rank. "Hey, can I get another one?"

"Okay, but I'm cutting you off after this one, McKenzie." The bartender promises him and hands him his last shot.

"Now, where were we?" Namor asked the lobster when he was picked up by the chef. "Hey, we're talking."

"Namor, I know you miss your dad-" the man was saying when Namor was fast and saved the lobster before making his way out.

On his way out however, he ran into a much bigger guy than him. "I was gonna eat that."

"Then you gotta get through me first." Namor dared him.

"Works for me, tough boy." The man said and Namor only smiled.

A few seconds later, the man was sent flying through the window next to the door and Namor left some money on the counter.

"Sorry about your window." Namor said before making his way out and towards the ocean. Once he reached it, he placed the lobster go and let him free.

That morning, Emma Frost was just walking up to the steps of the Mansion after being out...doing stuff. When she was on her way inside, she saw her only friend in the school Sophia and walked over to her.

"Hey, Soph, how's your family?" Emma asks.

"Oh, they're doing great." Sophia answered as they strolled inside when they heard someone shriek inside.

"I'm guessing Kurt scared someone new again." Emma took a wild guess as they made their way inside and saw a new kid was looking seriously scared at Kurt.

"Kurt, we've warned you about that." Sophie stated as she and Emma came up to who he scared and saw someone new and saw that he was terrified by either Kurt's appearance or his sudden appearance in the room. "Sorry about him. I'm Sophie. You've already met Kurt. And this..."

Emma was currently curious on Peter's reason for being here and quickly took a glance into his mind, and she was...surprised.

"Wow. Okay, the blue guy was a bit scary, but he just kinda jump scared me. Wow, I can't believe people think mutants are dangerous. Sure, a bit creepy looking, but hey, I'm already used to it. Why's she staring at me? It's getting a bit creepy. Says the guy who's staring at her. You know, I should stop talking to myself like this. She's still staring. You're still staring, Parker! Quick, say something."

"Hi." Peter greeted them. "So, what can you do?"

Emma wasn't paying attention and was more focused on his mind as it was really, really crazy. It was almost psychotic, but...it was also sweet. She could tell he wasn't the type to talk to a lot of people, but he was definitely the talkative type.

But before she could look deeper into his mind, Sophia smacked her shoulder. "Emma. What did we say about poking around in their heads."

"Wait, she can read minds?" Peter asked them.

"Yeah, she's a little read happy when it comes to new people." Sophia stated and looked to Kurt. "Kurt here can travel anywhere in the world."

"Only if I've been there or seeing where I'm going." Kurt added.

"They call me Chat." Sophia tells him and looks to Kurt. "He's Nightcrawler. And she's-"

"Just Emma." Emma stated and took a quick glance at Peter's mind again. "Peter Parker."

That caused Peter to become seriously confused. "Uh...I never told you my name."

"No, you didn't." Emma confirmed before walking off and left them to make it back to her room.

After their talk was over, Sophia quickly walked over to her friend and roommate.

"What were you doing sneaking around his mind?" Sophia asked Emma.

"I was just curious what he was doing here." Emma defended. "He didn't seem to be a mutant of any sort."

"You could've just asked." Sophia stated. "You've got to get better at talking to people. He seemed like a cool guy; did you happen to see his opinion on mutants?"

"He seems to actually like us." Emma admitted. "Seems he was just scared of Kurt's sudden appearance."

"Everyone is." Sophia defended. "He really needs to stop doing that. Who was he here to see?"

"His sister, Kara. That new girl they brought in last week." Emma informed her friend.

"Wonder if we'll see him again." Sophia said as she looked to the doors.

Jean took Kara out on the Blackbird (even though she could easily fly, which she constantly reminded Jean), and we're making their way to find this Kitty Pride girl.

"So, why exactly was I chosen to go with you on this mission?" Kara asked Jean.

"I think the Professor wants you to experience firsthand what the other part of our mission is." Jean supposed.

"What's that?" Kara asked.

"Locating and recruiting people with powers who are afraid of what they can do. Like you were when we found you." Jean explains.

"Okay, but I mean why just me?" Kara explained her actual question, recognizing the ship could hold up to at least six to eight people at once.

"Oh, because he wants to see how well you can connect with this girl." Jean explains.

"How can I connect with her?" Kara asks.

"It's unclear how her family might react, which is what I'm going to be dealing with. I'm having you go find Kitty at her school and try to talk with her. Show her she's not alone. The same way we showed you."

"Okay..." Kara sighed and noticed the strange outfit Jean was wearing. "What is it you're wearing?"

"Oh, my X-Men uniform." Jean answered. "That's what we call ourselves. Professor Xavier's X-Men."

"Hm. Think I'll get my own outfit like that eventually?" Kara asked.

"Yeah, if you wanna be like one of us, you're gonna need it." Jean supposed. "But you'll want to talk with Hank if you want your own suit."

"Who's Hank?" Kara asked.

"Hank McCoy. We call him Beast." Jean answered as she brought the bird in for a landing and landed out near the school for Kara. "We'll talk more about a suit later. You know what she looks like, right?"

"Don't worry, I'll look for the panicking girl and put two-and-two together." Kara said jokingly and walked out of the jet and Jean smiled.

"Seems she's getting sarcasm down." Jean muttered to herself before leaving the jet and goes searching for the Pryde family home.

Richard sighed as he fixed his reading glasses as he made his way into the labs, keeping up the insecure scientist motif he's supposed to be putting on.

He came to the office late when everyone, but the security team went home and got to work. Mary was currently taking care of the dangerous super spiders Luthor is inventing.

Richard began with deleting all of the personal and backup files on the computers for all of the spiders, which he saved onto a flash drive beforehand.

Quickly, he walked into this large room which they are breeding the spiders in and dropped in a poisonous gas bomb and stayed in with a gas mask so that he can see they all died and left afterward.

And just as quickly as he made it in, he made it out with Mary right behind him. She destroyed all of the footage of this night, making it look like a malfunction and covering their tracks so they can never be discovered.

Lex however was watching the whole event unfold and had a look of anger on his face as years of advancement was destroyed by these two S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.

"Learn all you can on how Richard and Mary Parker plan on getting to Washington. I want to make sure to leave them a gift on the way." Lex tells the men in the room who understood completely.

Namor then walked out of his home, AKA a lighthouse, and towards his truck to go into town when he heard a splash and looked to see that Aquaria was standing on the ledge of the water, her long blonde hair still soaking wet.

"Hey there, cousin." Aquaria greeted him with a friendly smile.

"Oh, no, no." Namor stated as he walked away from her and opened the door to his truck.

"What? I didn't ask for anything." Aquaria stated.

"Because you're going to ask for something." Namor knew as he slammed the door and marched over to her. "Aren't you?"

"Fine." Aquaria sighed. "I need you to come back to Atlantis."

"Okay, great, now the truth is out there...I'm gonna say the same thing that I told that old washed up Vulko. But nicer because you're technically family. No thank you, I'm not interested." Namor stated as he made his way back to the truck.

"Your cousin, my cousin, Orm is trying to convince your mother to declare war on the surface world." Aquaria informed him. "Billions of people will die. From below and the surface. We need to stop him."

Namor then sighed and turned back to her. "And what do you want me to do about it?"

"You're the firstborn son of Queen Fen." Aquaria reminded him. "You're the rightful heir to the throne by birthright. The only way we can save both worlds, yours, and mine, you need to take your place as king."

"Right and you just want me to stroll up to Atlantis and tell them who I am they'll give up the throne?" Namor asks him. "I'm no king. I'm the child of the queen who left me and my father the first chance she got."

"Yeah, it's not the best plan, but the alternative is to let thousands from both lands to die." Aquaria stated. "But your mother believes in you."

"Why don't you just take the throne from him?" Namor asked his cousin.

"Because if you've forgotten, not only am I underage, but Atlantis has strict rules of sons and daughters." Aquaria stated with a shrug. "Boys get the crown first. I just have to wait for you and Orm to croak, and then I can have a crack at it when I'm old enough. Your mother's in power because she was married to the king.

"Yeah, well, listen." Namor scoffs as he walked up to her. "If Orm comes to my world, he'll get the same mercy my mother gave me and my father." He then marched back over to his truck and drove off, leaving Aquaria behind.

Unaware that he was being studied and watched by someone who was currently photographing their interaction.

Megan was coming past Peter's household when she heard barking and was shocked when she saw a white haired Golden Retriever run out the door and began barking at her.

"Well, hello there." Megan greeted the dog happily as Peter raced out of the door and found the two. "Hey, Pete, when did you guys get a dog?"

"Uh...we didn't officially." Peter admits. "Found him searching through our garbage. Noticed his tag looked awfully like the necklace Kara carries."

Megan then looked and saw the S symbol on his collar with his name tag. "What, is it some type of family crest or something?"

"Something like that, yeah." Peter confirmed when they both looked and saw that the neighboring house that was recently sold had a moving truck.

"Howdy there, neighbors." A cheery elder man greeted them as he exited the house and saw the two of them and offered a friendly wave.

"Hi." Peter greeted him when he noticed his mother and father are walking up to the house and spotted their new neighbors.

"Oh, hello. Are you all just settling in?" Mary asked as she and Richard leaned against the fence.

"Yeh, me, the missus and our two kids." He said just as someone who's likely his wife came out of a car. "In fact here she is now."

"Hi, I guess we're your new neighbors." She greeted the family.

"Hi, I'm Richard. This is Mary. Our son Peter and that's his friend Megan." Richard introduced the family when a certain dog let himself be known and barked at the new neighbor.

"Oh, and who's this little guy?" He asked.

"Uh..." Mary was very confused about the dog and had no idea who it was. "I don't-"

"He's Krypto. My sister's dog." Peter answered before his mother could finish.

"He is?" Richard asked, surprised to hear that.

"I'll explain later." Peter promised.

"Well, I'm Vision." The man introduced himself. "Then there's Virginia. And then our daughter, Vivian." He looked to the car where a teenage daughter got out and opened the back up where a green furred Terrier came out and ran into the house. "And that would be Sparky."

"Well, it was nice to meet all of you." Mary said happily. "We should have you all over for dinner one weekend when you're settled in."

"We'd like that very much." Vision said cheerfully before going back to unpacking and the other family head inside their own home.

"Vision?" Richard asked, the name being confusing.

"Sh!" Mary smacked him.

"I'm just saying..." Richard whispered as they headed inside and turned to Peter who was talking with Megan. "Peter, can we talk?"

"Sure." Peter knew he had to explain the dog to them and looked to Megan. "See you at school tomorrow."

"Yeah, see ya." Megan said as Peter walked and saw Krypto. "Come on, boy!"

Krypto then quickly raced up the steps and made his way inside the home where Peter explained everything.

In midtown high school, Kitty Pryde was going through her locker to get ready for her next class when the popular girls noticed her alone.

"Riley, check our the Kitty pity party." One of the girls tell the other.

"Dreading PE, no doubt." Riley guessed mockingly. "Probably the only class she's not A'cing."

"Let's give her some time off, shall we?" Her friend asked as the two of them sneaked up behind Kitty and pushed her into the locker before closing it on her.

Kitty then began to panic as she tried to get out of the locker, starting to feel claustrophobic. "Help! Hey! Let me out!"

Kara just happened to be walking down the halls when she heard Kitty's cries for help. Quickly making her way down the hall, she was just about to find where Kitty was when she suddenly phased through the locker and tackled Kara.

"Whoa!" Kara cried as Kitty crawled up.

"Sorry! I'm sorry!" Kitty said as she then realized she did something in front of someone else.

"Are you Kitty Pryde?" Kara asked.

"What? Yeah, why?" Kitty asked as she walked away from Kara.

"I'm Kara. Kara Parker. I was here to help you." Kara explained.

"Well, I don't need you anymore." Kitty stated.

"No, not about the whole locker situation." Kara explained. "I mean, I was just coming to help, but I mean about your gift."

"Gift?" Kitty asked. "What part of this looks like a gift?"

"I know it doesn't seem like one at first, but I know what you're going through." Kara promises and started to levitate off the ground and Kitty became very shocked.

"How...how are you doing that?" Kitty asks.

"The same way you just phased through that door. I have abilities." Kara stated.

"I...I don't believe you!" Kitty stated.

Kara sighed and saw she was gonna need more convincing. Looking around, she saw a vending machine and quickly sped over to it, showing off another ability in the process and lifted it with one hand.

"Believe me now?" Kara asked her with a grin.

"Uh...maybe." Kitty supposed. "What were you saying?"

"I'd like to talk to you about a school for people like you and me." Kara said happily, surprised how easy it was to convince her.
