Bowser's POV:

Soooo... Why, exactly, are you here? I'm kind of in class right now... So, see ya'.

Yoshi's POV:

Hey there! It's lunchtime, my favorite time of day! I pack basically almost every fruit imaginable! I go to sit down, and Diddy and Rosalina wave over to me, so I go sit with them!

... Wait... Huh?

Wait, WHAT?!

It's been only a few days, and they're already back?! No, I'm not complaining, I'm glad they're back, but, wow! Fast recovery! We start to talk almost immediately.

Yoshi: You guys are already back! That was, like, four days!

Diddy: Yeah! The doctors were right!

Rosalina: Yeah, they definitely know what they're doing!

Then, Rosalina changes the subject, and the mood of the conversation from nice and cheery, to serious, in a  low whisper.

Rosalina: So... I hear there's a new student.

Diddy: Yeah, her name is Lavanne, a Fire Princess of the Fire Kingdom.

Yoshi: Why are we whispering?

Rosalina: Because I want to talk. Anyways, she seems kind of... suspicious.

Yoshi/Diddy: Really? Why?

Rosalina: I saw her sneak into Bowser's room earlier today.

Yoshi: WHAT?!

Rosalina/Diddy: SHH!!!!!

Yoshi: Sorry, sorry...

Diddy: You're lucky the lunchroom is so loud, so no one heard, I hope.

Rosalina: Yeah... Anyways, I saw her do it. She came out a few minutes later, looking defeated. But she wasn't looking at me, luckily. But Bowser was looking at her. He saw her exit his room from the hallway.

Diddy: Yikes.

Yoshi: Uh-oh! How'd it go?

Rosalina: Well...

Rosalina tells us what happened after Bowser caught Lavanne sneaking in his room.

~Flashback~

Lavanne: There's nothing here of importance... That's not good, but I have to go, otherwise, he might come back. Just slowly open the door..!!!

Oh crap.

Bowser: What were you doing in my room?!

Lavanne: I was checking if you were in there or not, I wanted to tell you something!

Bowser: Which was?

Lavanne: I was gonna say... Well... Um... I was...

Bowser: Uh-huh, suuurrreeee..... Well if you do it again, you'll see what happens...

Lavanne: Is that a threat?

Bowser: Maybe, maybe not!

Lavanne: Well, you shouldn't be threatening anyone! Not even a woman!

Bowser: Well you shouldn't be sneaking in other rooms that aren't yours! How can you call yourself a woman when you don't know the rules?!

~Flashback end~

Rosalina: After that, they started arguing, and I left before I was caught too. But I heard a loud slap or something, and then they stopped.

Diddy: I wonder if she slapped him or not...

Mario: Hey guys!

Yoshi: Hey Mario!

Mario: What happened, Yosh? Why'd ya' scream earlier?

Yoshi: Oh... Well, um, well...

Diddy: He was just shocked that Rosalina and I recovered so quickly!

Yoshi: Y-yeah!

Mario: Yeah! Those hospitals must have some sort of magic or-a somethin' goin' on-a... Well, whatcha' guys wanna talk about now?

Diddy: *Looks at Rosalina*

Rosalina: *Shrugs*

Diddy: Well, do ya' promise not to tell anyone?

Mario: 😕 Umm... Ok?

Yoshi: Well, we, I mean, Rosalina saw Lavanne... Um...

Rosalina: I saw Lavanne sneak into Bowser's room.

Mario: *Almost chokes on the lotsa spaghetti he was eating* WHA-?!

Diddy: *Covers Mario's mouth* Shh!

Mario: Sorry, but... Why?

Rosalina: I don't know, but whatever she was looking for, I don't think she found it, because she walked out seeming defeated. Also, Bowser saw her leave, and they got into an argument, and I left after that.

Mario: Ok... Well, I wasn't expecting-a that...

Rosalina: Don't tell anyone.

Mario: But what about Weeg-

Rosalina: No one.

Mario: 😔 *Sigh*Ok... Fine.

Diddy: Speaking of, where is he?

We all look around the room for a minute, then I see him. He's sitting at the end of another table, doing nothing but just swinging his legs back and forth, his head resting on the top of his knuckles. He looks kinda... Bored. Then I get an idea.

Yoshi: Hey, let's go cheer him up!

Mario: Um... Maybe not...

Yoshi: Why not?

Mario: Because he doesn't look like he's in the best mood. Especially for talking!

Diddy: But, he spoke to us a few days earlier!

Yoshi: He even seemed happy, too!

Rosalina: Well, good luck, then.

We go over to where Bowser's sitting, but as soon as he sees us, he turns away, so I decide to try and start a conversation.

Yoshi: Hey Bowser!

Bowser: ...

Diddy: What's wrong?

Bowser: ... Go away...

Diddy: If something's wrong, you can tell us.

Bowser: ...

Peach suddenly comes and starts to drag us away by our necks.

Diddy: 😡 Peach, what the heck?!

Peach: I'm dragging you away from him.

Yoshi: But, why?

Peach: Because I don't want anything bad to happen to you, and plus, I don't like him. I care about you a lot more.

Diddy: But Bowser wouldn't hurt us on purpose!

Peach: After all he's done, I'm not letting you take your chances. 

We manage to struggle away from the hands with nails digging into our necks.

Yoshi: You're lying.

Peach: What?

Diddy: He said, you're lying.

Peach: Wha-? How?!

Yoshi: Sure, you may not like him, but we know that isn't all.

Diddy: You secretly want him to suffer in pain and agony, when really, Bowser's done way more for you than Mario ever has!

Peach: Wha- I- I can't believe this, you guys are actually PROTECTING Bowser?!

Yoshi: Yeah, and our friend!

Peach: Ugh, I can't believe you guys. I'm out of here.

We watched her as she went back to eat her lunch next to Lavanne, and started to chat immediately like nothing even really happened. We, on the other hand, went back the other way, back towards Bowser, and he was reading a book, but before we could get a good look at it or the title, he heard us and shoved it into his shell. I try to talk to him again.

Yoshi: Whatcha' readin'?

Bowser: Nothing much.

Then Diddy sees something that shocks him, or he just gasped and got wide-eyed for no apparent reason.

Diddy: Bowser... Wha... What happened?

Then I see it too: A red mark in the shape of a hand, and bloody scratches starting to leak down his left cheek.

Bowser: I'm fine.

Yoshi: You sur-

Bowser: I said, I'M FINE!

He then stands up and starts to walk away. We trail after him, though.

Yoshi: Are ya' sure? Cuz, that looks like it-

Bowser: JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

He turns around, shoving us both, and we both fall back. We stare at him in shock, and a few seconds after, he turns back around, his arms folded across his chest.

"I'm sorry, I just don't wanna talk ri-!"

Lavanne then comes from seemingly nowhere and slaps him on his right cheek, now leaving a mark and streaking blood on both of his cheeks.

Lavanne: Don't pick on them, you brute!

But, this time, Bowser doesn't argue.

He didn't stop walking.

He didn't even pause to look at her.

He just kept on walking past.

But, this, of course, annoyed Lavanne even more. Big surprise.

Lavanne: Oh, so you're IGNORING ME NOW?!

Bowser: ...

Lavanne: Don't make me slap you a third time!

Bowser: ...

Lavanne: I'll do it!

Bowser: .....

Then Lavanne raised her hand, ready to strike. But when she struck, she didn't slap him. She curled her hand into a fist. Then she pulled back even more.

Then, she punched.

She hit him right in the back of the head while digging the heel of her high heels into his tail.

And then she punched again.

And again. 

And again.

It was then he stopped walking.

It was then he stopped ignoring her.

It was then he seemed to realize that she was even right there.

But Lavanne still wasn't satisfied.

Lavanne: Now you pay attention, when I hit you and hurt you even more?

Then, he spun around.

Except, the eyes I saw weren't the eyes from the Bowser I knew.

They were glowing.

Glowing red.

He let out a growl that was louder then everyone in the cafeteria combined, and there were at least five other classes in it.

Lavanne recoiled, taking a big step back.

Now everyone was silent, staring at Bowser.

Not that he cared.

He blinked, his eyes going back to normal, and he gave a "Hmph", blowing smoke from his nose into Lavanne's face.

Everyone watched him as he started to walk out of the room, and the few murmurs rose back to a roar of shouting and laughter.

Then, the lights went out, and all those screams of laughter turned into screams of terror.

The lights flick back on, revealing DK and Wario giggling next to the light switches, trying not to burst in laughter. Almost everyone laughed along with them, but Peach and Daisy definitely weren't joking around. They both threw each of their high heels at them, hitting each eye of the both of them.

But, Diddy and I were just standing there in shock at what just happened. I was so shocked that I could barely comprehend what had just happened in singular words.

Bowser.

Injury.

Peach.

Shove.

Lavanne.

Fight.

Red eyes.

Darkness.

I almost couldn't believe my eyes. Diddy and I looked at each other, and I knew instantly what he was also thinking.

When the lights went off, how did no one notice the big thumps under their feet or chairs?

How did no one notice the loud growl?

How did everyone go back to shouting, and yelling, and laughing, like nothing happened, and not notice that, right when the lights turned back on...

That Bowser wasn't even there anymore?
